i based this off a chinese folktale, the one about the artist who refused the paint the eyes of his dragons because if he did, they would become alive
so basically she's painting the eye of the bird and making him come to life c:

{ So my oekaki hasn't been working for ages, and today I said I would be part of a collab, so I was like, better go practice. I'd forgotten that it wasn't working, so when I opened it and It suddenly worked again, I remembered and a weird sketch happened. I was multitasking during this, so unless it says like five minutes, the timers off xD

I am not proud of this. I really hope this helps because it was not fun to make nor was it anywhere near my best.
Tips for anatomy:
-Breasts are not completely circular.
-The neck has to be thick enough to support the head, and the head is not that large.
-Most women don't have super defined collarbones. I just draw it that way huehuehue.
-Shoulders not as broad nor defined
-Smooth but not extreme inward sloping area between upper torso and waist
-Eyes take up less than 1/3 of the face

Hes favorite shirt is the one above and yes that says 'Tummy Tim'. Thats the name of his stomach. He named his stomach. He named it Tummy Tim
also, he wants to be a drag queen when he grows up, but for now he is Lil's best friend

Gah, I keep changing Marcus' appearance every time I draw him. I keep switching between loving and hating him too. I'll be adding a background to this and neatening up the coloring/shading some time later on. This has been really frustrating to draw since a virus on my laptop causes pen pressure to turn on and off randomly on my tablet.

Anyway, for a little background info, the setting is basically the entrance to a purgatory of sorts and the "bus driver' as Marcus calls him takes on the appearances of those who were closest to the deceased. This is supposed to be comforting, but it basically has the exact opposite effect on Marcus until he realizes they are just illusions and "shatters" their faces. And no, it's not a good thing that there is a second hole punch in Marcus' ticket. The line at the top of the post is not a quote from the story, it just seemed fitting.

I added a super quick background. I may or may not change it to a more detailed one later on since I'll be really busy in the upcoming weeks.
