I thought I'd take the stereotypical gender colors, blue and pink, and then make them both girls. cause why not.

don't get me wrong
i can enjoy a few good animes once in a while

but
just

so many animes seem to be like this:

you have your main character, the young orphaned emo boy with magical powers which he cannot control because of his headstrong attitude, and who seems to be awkward with girls even though all of them love him and cry magical tears over him

then you got your main female character, the ditzy, constantly happy cheerleader with giant boobs and beautiful magical eyes who actually has the most powerful magical abilities ever

and of course don't forget your comic relief cat/transgender woman/black man

i just cant ever seem to find any animes that dont follow these annoying tropes
i also hate how there seems to be almost no racial diversity AT ALL
The last time I saw a black man in an anime he was there for the people to make fun of and laugh at.
and every single popular anime seems to make fun of gay men and transgender women

why cant there be more gay characters who aren't there to be sexualized like in yaoi and yuri? why can't they be normal characters??? (applies to all tv shows in general actually)
