Gabe, on the other hand, realllly wanted a dog, what other creature besides a dog shares his passion for cuddles? But since he wasn't allowed to have one as a kiddo and can't have one in the flat he lives in now... his cousin, feeling bad for him, gave him a stuffed doggo instead. It's almost as good as the real thing, right?
He named the 'dog' Buttons lol. Because each and every animal, stuffed animal or not, needs a cutesy name.

He's like 17-18 years old here. Aka his very short college years. He believed in magic and was a naive, naive child. Also he was very, very short. Was he made fun of? Of course, he was kinda geeky to be honest. He was cheerful and hopeful and... wasn't blind in one eye, and also WORE his glasses.He was still as skinny as a twig tho. He wasn't mean or bitter at society as he is right now, he was quite pleasant and polite, in fact. Though he was kind of sad because he did lose his mom. Of course everything changed when he got more inspired for even more ambitious scientific pursuits ... without a doctor's degree, might I add.
And then he dropped out. It was very short lived. Like a year.

Seriously! The stylized aspects are done quite well, and the shading matches the overall concept perfectly. The freckles on the face are so soft - yet still distinctly there. And the colors of the sky? Love them! Gradient skies are my jam.
