okay guys buckle up

i've been working on this au for a while now and i'm super excited to finally show it!! it's an au in which the clans are kind of medival/viking-ish, with each clan focusing on something else (thunderclan - general bards, riverclan - mages, etc). they all have differently structured governments within the clans but follow an overall code (the warrior's code)

i'll be posting some more stuff on it soon!! like i seriously can't wait to develop it, hopefully i can set up a tumblr to post finished sketches and an ask box <33 feel free to ask questions, like i said i'm going to eventually compile some more stuff!!

IT LOOKS INCREDIBLE ?? The combat system looks like it's gonna be so much fun and I absolutely love all the new designs for enemies, bosses, NPCs, and the areas !!! It looks absolutely gorgeous<33
There seemed to be a lava splash at some point in the trailer so maybe the Forest of Bones is getting a semi-revival?? :0c

our first valentine's day as a couple aaa! <333

Making this reminded me why I don't often try to draw Hollow Knight backgrounds: The insane amount of detail. But it's more tedious than difficult, so that comes down to my own impatience.
HOWEVER, I was inspired by something I saw today!
THE HYPE HAS GONE THROUGH THE ROOF!
As soon as I saw that, I knew I had to draw something Hornet-related. This is a drawing fueled entirely by excitement!
Her appearance in the Beast's Den was the first thing that came to mind--I might have drawn her Greenpath encounter instead, but (aside from the fact that it didn't come to mind until just now) I have a feeling that the undergrowth and background there would have taken much longer.

This was the reference I used, approximately 97% of the reason I needed it was for the background.

If this puts anything into perspective, it probably only took me 30-45 minutes to draw Hornet--the rest of this time was spent on the background.

So, yeah. This is what I decided to to instead of attempting the Pantheon of Hallownest. (I've decided that I need to finish that Pantheon before Valentine's Day, just in case of spoilers...)
It was probably a fair bit less challenging than the Pantheon will be!
But now I have no more excuses, so I should really get around to doing that.

- the spoodery speeder that bit her was modified with (illegally obtained) vibranium so her bones are v strong. also because of the vibranium she absorbs a lot of sound but she doesn't know that of course gsjdf
- gets overheated very quickly
- has a rock collection!!
