a lot of my characters also have the same bangs (the little hair swirl,,,, hhh) and that's something I'm trying to work on too!! I always used to draw the same hairstyles and I would get really frustrated and angry with myself when I couldn't draw anything different which,,,, wasn't the best for my mental health?? buns are so fun to draw because you can do literally anything with them. they can be tight, they can be messy, they can be literally a ponytail wrapped in half. it's so cool. I usually draw messy buns because I think those are super attractive and amazing, but you can draw them however you want really! Buns are difficult to explain how to draw because there are so many different ways you can do them, but I'd recommend looking at artists whose styles you love and seeing how they draw buns. If they draw them in a way you like, take inspiration from that and try to draw it in their style (or in your style, but with the aspects you like from theirs)! You can also look at reference pictures for buns and try to draw it (but in a more stylized and simple way)!

I hate braids. There's really no easy way to draw braids, unless you've been doing them for a while and can do them without all the steps. Anytime I draw braids, I usually follow the steps above, or else my braids look really weird and not right. I can never remember where to put the lines and ahhhh I hate it. Unfortunately the only way to really be comfortable drawing braids is to practice and draw them as much as possible, but there are tons of braid tutorials out there with different ways to do it to make it a little easier so I'll link a couple of my favourites!
