Whoo First intermediate picture XD, also first attempt at no lined/ realistic picture. Two firsts in one picture o3o.

Day 5 character 5
Ivy, a grey lion, lives in the shadows of others, never quite good enough. Her mother died after birthing her and her two brothers, who ended up being pure white unlike herself. Her father hates her and looks at her with eyes closed, ashamed that shes not like her brothers. Ivy only has one friend a larger, female, tan lion from another pride named Hex. They are secret friends since associating with other prides is forbidden, the penalty is abandonment. They met in the trees by her prides favorite watering hole. Hex though Ivy was beautiful, when in truth Ivy thought Hex was the prettiest lion shes ever met. Hex was beautiful and popular, males have fought just to get her attention. Hex had a loving family, her father being the leader of her pride, so she was respected. Hex was everything Ivy was not... but Ivy could only be happy for her friend and hid her envy away.

I started drawing this and the background was fairly good, but when I drew the lines, the whole picture started to fail... After I coloured it in and shaded it, I realized that it looked more like a mouse rather than a short-eared elephant shrew... Oh well, this is my first time drawing any Elephant Shrew.

Because it's the first time I've ever drawn an elephant shrew, I actually think this turned out fairly decent, seeing what my first deer looked like... And my first human... And my first mouse... And basically most other first times I drew something. Comments and (nice) critique would be appreciated :3
