Well, I was reading Homestuck, so I decided to just go and draw my patron troll, Sollux, representing Gemini. At first it was just the cat because I'm rubbish when it comes to people, but then I decided to scoot real Sollux in there. This is the first side profile I have ever done, and a lot of the timer is actually me googling side profile guides and how to to do them. I gave up on his ear though, and gave up almost completely trying to make his hairsomewhat decent. xD I hope this is somewhat decent~

Of the Dire Deathspeaker, I will not say overmuch. It is a subject best left to speculation and tales used to frighten children.

They supposedly kept the habit of their more clever cousins of wearing skulls, but displayed their maws proudly, and grew very large, with hooves sharpened into points. While the Common Deathspeaker is content to speak and live among the other intelligent beings, the Dire Deathspeaker was, by all accounts, a mere brutish predator.

The figure above, copied from an elven tapestry, is the best recorded example of a Dire Deathspeaker. They currently do not roam the woods, as far as we are aware, though the Common Deathspeakers are still deathly afraid of them.

I got really bored so started to randomly draw a picture.

This is to brush up on my Impressionist style, using different tones, vivid and faded colours, different saturation, hues, bold brushwork, and light and dark colours. I was inspired for this by Claude Monet, a french painter who was one of the first Impressionists, many of whom were French, a country which I have known for about 10 years of my life now (though no, I don't live in France, but I do visit often).

There are things about this that I am happy about, and others less. I like my highlights on the swan, using light colours and watercolours. I also like the swan in general and the water is alright, considering I used a mouse. (Heheh, look at my rubbish speedpaint trees in the background). I don't like the trees, or the land in the background.

I would like decent, well-opinionated, advice and critism, however, please do not point out my lack of detail. Detail is hard to do, using a mouse anyway, and I really just wanted to test out colours, the oekaki, general different tools in different ways, the opacity, and all that jazz. And yes, I did want it to be lineless.

If the mods feel this would be better in another section of the oekaki boards (ie. Sketches and experiments or intermediate (though I doubt it's even worthy!)), feel free to do so, but if any mod feels free to contact me via PM before moving it, that would be greatly appreciated.

I do take commisions, art for pets, and my prices aren't too high, but I won't do lineless until I get back to my tablet. So most things will be like this, but I will try and do detail better in future. XP

I used a photo from my DS as a reference. I also used my older impressionist swan painting.

As the title says, a cute kitty with wings. Gosh this took forever! (plus the timer is off a lil, stopped a few times for lunch and to fix my cell lol) I tried a new way of shading, looks pretty cool. I suppose I could have done different colors as well, but it kinda looks like something you'd come across in a sort of dessert-like area. I might go back and add in a background later on and touch up on a few things. Crits would be very much loved!
