EDIT: so, i studied the anatomy of a pug and kinda fixed it.. hope you like it better BearSkyBlue! (i really hope so!)

EDIT: i fixed the pug even more cuz the leg looked spazzed up and i added more shading to it. I also added some "clouds" around the dog ^^

A FEW THINGS
-The head needs to...ah...bubble out a bit. Like the forehead needs to be a little higher. (hope that makes sense -.-)
-Tuck the chest a little
-The leg is much higher up, especially the shoulder muscle...thing lol n.n
-the back shuld dip in a bit
-The stomach should tuck in a little
-Near leg is good, just a bit fatter at the bottom.
-Far leg should be a little bigger, and more bent.
-DETAILS, my dear. You are missing in details): Add little tufts of fur on legs, stomach, neck, tail, shoulder, ets. Add some cheek fur on the face. Put thick fur on the neck and tail, not as much on the legs. A little fur on the face.
-Make the ears a tad bigger

I just randomly decided to practice dragon wing anatomy, herp de derp. I've always had trouble with them, so practice is good. xD

To anyone that struggles with them as I always have, try to image the entire wing as a hand, rather than a random limb sticking out with stupid little sticks to hold the sails. That claw that sticks out at the top of the joint is the "thumb", and the long bits of flesh that hold the sails are the "fingers."
Since they are basically hands, they should connect like a hand does. So imagine that what you are looking at IS a hand. (with only three fingers for the right one, lol.) Now hold up your left hand and separate your fingers so that your thumb and fingers are mimicking the pose shown here. Now you get a general idea of where the digits will be placed.

Also note that the sails need to be LARGE. Dragons aren't light little humming birds-- they need GIRTH to their sails. In fact, a dragon's wing anatomy makes much more sense when it connects to the rump/tail, NOT when it concaves back in near the shoulder.

How do you know this for sure?

Well, what does a dragon's wing remind you of? Bats, right?
Well, where does a bat's wing sail connect? Does it curve back in under the armpit?
No, no it does not.

It's also good to have that little sail BEFORE the joints. It makes them more aerodynamic-- and it's just overall more visually pleasing, if you ask me.

Making a sail out of the thumb is personal preference.

Another creature from my story, "Guilt."

Mikkens are tiny little rodents, able to fit in the palm of a hand, but they possess very special anatomy. Their ears, tail, and a flexible dorsal sail on their back serve as methods for flight.
A Mikken flies by flapping their ears like wings, while using their dorsal and tail sails to bend and use the air currents to their advantage. They live in close, swarm-like families, making their nest within the trunks of hollow trees.

Mikkens have become very rare within Lorn in recent years, however. The creatures are designed after Ineo (basically, mother nature), and so they feel a great connection to the land around them. Because of this, Mikkens cannot be found in "spoiled" lands. Any place where war and malice have taken reign will flush away any possible Mikkens living nearby.
