I'm not used to using any art program aside from paint. How do you color your pics?

This is cool! you can colour it by either...
1: Changing the colour on the colour box thing and using fillbucket.
2:Changing the colour and using pen or pencil or watercolour.
3:Shade it by using burn and make it a black and white one with a story behind it.

For coloring in a drawing, I suggest using layers. Using the fill bucket doesn't always work very well and leaves spots un-colored (Which then you must fill in anyway.)

Using layers makes it much easier to color because you don't have to worry about coloring over the lines.

yea new to this. no clue what im doing. also wanted to do a big vent art, but it turned into just a deer..oh well.. sorry its so small and not good. im rusty and didnt have alot of time to work on this

Major WIP.
Comments/Ideas are loveddd. <3
Edit one- Added some smudging to add texture. Also added a wing.
Edit two- Re-colored the shading, It's light grey instead of black now. Note to self- Shade in black, smudge, and then re-color to fit the color it is on. Tips?
Edit three- Added a different background. Went from orange to black with a pink planet <3
Edit four- Forgot to put the WIP cover back on. So, I put it back.
Edit five- Finished <3 And proud of it.
Edit six- I truly thought this belonged in intermediate, for once. It's like telling me my art isn't good enough.

Story to follow. This is based off a pair of wajas. (Me and my sister, cicipie, are exchanging waja litters for Christmas from a random interesting pair of wajas.) I felt like drawing the two, and I began to think up a dramatic scene for them. (Which happens every time I get new wajas ha ha.)

Angel gazed at the sky, the silent stars softly glittering back. The rippling hues of the moonlight shimmered on the earth below, casting cold shadows on the objects unfortunate enough to be out of light's path. "I'll wait for you." she whispered, hanging her head. No one answered.

GreenTex shivered. The boiling air was rank and stagnant. He was among the ruins of a burning village, the flames throwing up dying ash. Broken buildings surrounded him, blocking his view and trapping him in a circle of flames. "I'll get to you!" he shouted. "I WILL be there for you!" The snarling flames stole away his words. The fire was inching closer, drawing him backwards. The embers reflecting in his eyes, he leapt..."

Where are you now, soldier boy?
