"A shiny Eevee! Wow!"
"I've never seen fur that snow white!"
Julian had always had comments on how his fur was whiter then every other shiny Eevee ever, how it gleamed so brightly in the sun, how it was so well kept. No one even thought that it wasn't just his shininess, no one thought breeding two shiny Eevee's would end like this, and his trainer, Emily, never thought twice about evolving him. Emily had always been a lightheaded spoiled blonde but she was easily forgiven by him usually.
Oh! A shiny Vaporeon!" Emily's eyes lit up at the sight of the pink Pokemon and quickly went to admire it and chat up it's owner while Julian shyly walked up to it as well.
"How does it feel to be evolved?" he asked quietly looking up towards the Vaporeon's face who in turn was looking down.
"It's different alright," it sounded female to Julian, "but I wouldn't trade it." Julian nodded slowly and was caught off guard by his trainer picking him up and replied by a quick squeak in surprise.
C'mon Juju! We're gonna evolve to in the town square! The nice lady gave me a water stone to evolve you into a pretty pink Vaporeon! I'll bet you'll be an even prettier shade of pink!" Emily squealed while carrying Julian off, she acted like the blonde she was sometimes and Julian just sighed and wondered about what new moves he may learn.
By the time they had reached the town square they had twenty or so people there as well, mainly Emily's friends.
"Ready Juliannn?" she dragged out his name like usual, Julian nodded quickly trying to look like a brave strong Eevee while his stomach did cartwheels. Emily pulled out a small blue stone and set in front of him, he nervously put his paw on the stone which made it turn into a fine dust and start to surround him. He gasped as it swirled around him and started to glow, his owner's squeal of joy ringing in the background faintly.
At first it was a bright gold but suddenly changed to a grey and stopped swirling and held still, everyone gasped and seemed to be holding their breath. While Julian felt strange, as if he was somewhere in between Eevee and Vaporeon then the dust started twirling the opposite way has felt himself getting taller and becoming more Vaporeon like until he felt zero percent Eevee. The dust suddenly dispersed for him to see the wide-eyed expressions of the crowd.
"W-what! You're not what I wanted! I don't want you!" Emily shrieked turning her back on the very confused Julian. "I don't want you at all! You ugly thing! she cried stomping her foot and yanking out Julian's fancied up Pokeball. She turned back around at raised her hand that was holding the Pokeball and chucked it straight at Julian who managed dart out of the way at the last second and avoided damage, one couldn't say the same about the Pokeball. As soon as it hit the concrete it shattered, the PC system counted it as release and a red beam shot out of the Pokeball and onto Julian who absorbed it instantly.
His tail went between his legs as Emily kept throwing things at his head which he managed to dodge as he ran deep into the forest on the edge of town Emily still trailing in her huge fit until he finally couldn't hear her anymore.
He slowed down realizing that she had stopped chasing him and that he was lost and alone.
"What did I do? Why did she get so mad at me?" he muttered under his breath slowly walking with his head down until he came to a lake, realizing how thirsty he was he went to the shore to take a drink when he saw his reflection in the still watered. "W-why am I not pink?" he stuttered taken aback by the reflection. He quickly went into a panic, "Why did this happen to me? I haven't done anything wrong!" his paw struck the water harshly as if he could destroy it and a few tears slid down his cheek. "Why doesn't Emily accept me now?" Rage suddenly started to boil in his stomach, "she said she'd love me forever! She'd never hurt me!" he was shaking now and went back to being upset. Then, almost as if on cue, the rain started bucketing down along with his tears he tried to wipe them away with him paw but they still came. Slowly he raised his head and looked over the water, tears still streaming,
"Aren't I still your little Julian..? Aren't I Emily?"
