This is a large work in progress, as I've got another couple of projects and couple MYOs that have higher priority to this.

Wooo! Finally done!
Gift art of quoll's character, Shortcake! This was really fun to draw aha, I got a bit carried away making the big art look more realistic than I usually draw, so I added the chibi-Shortcake in there too :P Hope you like it!!

Tried to keep with the theme I saw--bland background, solid white. Went with the "sleeping on a bannister in an awkward way" pose.

This is my first attemp to draw Semi-Realistic fur and well ... i know... I really sucks ^^°
Reference is a private Photo of my beloved Tom-Cat "Sammy" who is missing since a month now. He was declared death, but we hope the headless cat who was found was not him. I wanted to make this drawing just for him, because i will never forget my beloved little Sammy ♥

... I want to finish this drawing... but...
We had to move a washing mashine 2 etages and my hands and arms really hurts. And its 3 am by the way ^^°
Well i think i must take a break and go to bed now.

Its my first time trying out semi-realistic art. (Is it semi-realistic?)
My goal was to finish Sammy before i go to sleep and add the Background later. But well. Im to tired now. The highlights in the fur and the dark layer for the texture will be made tomorrow (or reither today xD)
Maybe i will edit some ugly parts and start the Background.
I would be totally happy about comments and tipps/critique

How i did the fur?
I just used white and the basic red-brown to make sure where which furcolor is. Than i used the smudge tool at size 3 to soften the edges. Just making sure you use the smudge tool always in the way the fur strokes. (Argh sorry about mybad english >o<) Now it should already be look softer and remind of fur. Than i use the darker color in the reddish-brown parts making the markings. Than i use the lighter color and do the same. After i finished the tabby-markings i use the smudge tool at size 1 and ude it while following the stroke of the fur again. Now it should look like the body does at the moment.
After that i use white and the tool at size 1 again (Whichever tool you prefer to use to make strokes) but i use just a bit of oppaciaty. Than i add things like whiskers and the white hairs you can see ofter the pattern. In the white parts i use a dark grey color to male the strokes in the white parts. This will give the fur its texture. Like you can see at the head right now.

But that is just the way i do it. Im still just trying, because i never made fur this way before. So im not sure how it will look when i finish. I hope that helps you. Maybe there are other people that can explain better than me ^^°

The paw is nearly done. It looks so thin, because a Part of the Paw and the side of the face is hidden by the furry pillow/Bed. But than you for the tipp ^^
Just hope the anatomy is okay so far ^^°

Remember when everyone's sparkle dogs were covered in piercings and jewelry and moon symbols and they wore toeless socks and had goggles for no other reason than to have goggles? I kinda miss those times

After many years of being on this site, i've decided to call it quits.
There are quite a few reasons for my departure. I'm getting old, I have no time to focus on here.
Theres quite a few artist with a superiority complex, getting treated like gods. It makes it unfair for newer artist, and makes them feel less. It discouraged me from my only escape, art.And i'm sure i'm not the only one. It's draining.
From people saying I faked being trans and that I drew scribble dogs (yes I saw that c; ) to people just being downright rude to "lesser" artist.
It's time to go.
I hope people on here become kinder to newer artist. I hope they become more aware of their words.
Join together and defeat them. Y'all could be the change.

This sight has taught me a lot though. It was my first place I went to when I was younger. I've made terrible friends on here, and some good ones. I learned a lot of art skills through here, and i've learned to treat people kinder. I've also learned to stick up for myself when the time calls for it.

That being said. Goodbye.

    Dude I’m so sorry that people mistreated you, it’s beyond me why people think that that’s appropriate. Personally, I love your style, I think there needs to be more appreciation for the newer artists and even “smaller” artists.     was thinkin earlier ab how i never rlly draw my characters (that aren't my keldines, spur of the moment designs, or quick after - acquiring doodles) so . them.
    i have not decided if they r in love yet hmmmmmmmmmmm gotta think of their personalities more i think
    my wrist hurts so bad i colored them in entirely with the 1 size pencil with 145 scattering and i'm losing it
