my first ever pet kobi da cat, hehe we literally grew up together
ive drawn him before on oekaki here based on an ancient pic of us <333
he was a dark brown tabby with lil socks n a big dangly housecat tummy LMAO
looking back i remember him having the vibes of like a tired middle aged man.....
always pushing the boundary of apathetic/grumpy but still reasonable.....

however i can not seem to find ANY pics of him rn so i used a pic of my other cat for a ref
also this will be a challenge to color :-(

kobi was the first pet i ever felt like super attached to n didnt feel that way about several pets after him
he was originally my grandparents but their dog terrorized him so they chose the dog lol
my dad isnt a cat/animal person but cats are like OBSESSED w him especially kobi so we decided to take him
he was a kitten when i was a baby n theres so many pics of him sleeping with me in my crib
he had to be put down for like kidney/uti problems when he was 11 (& i was also 11 at the time)
i was super angry about it for a long long long long long long time like yeeeears :')
that was the first of the total three times i EVER cried when someone/something died
im sure theres a lot to unpack w that statement but ANYWAYS

fun fact time: my bf was *almost* named kobi (but spelled kobe)
obvi he wasnt named kobe but i rly like the connection we both have to the name
aka if i ever have kids/a son im naming him kobi but u didnt hear that from me

i had an idea for a species called AstroBears awhile back and finally got around to drawing them!
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in these lil guys :)
I am also wondering if they would be a closed or an open species (im leaning towards closed)
