they have weird names that actually traces back to their scientific name that i had to do a lot of research about how to name and specify new species

these liddle cuties are based off of salamanders tho they walk on two legs, they have really strong tails because they live in trees and hang off of them like possums, they eat berries and sometimes scraps of meat left from other animals. they have long legs with no toes or claws or fingers! they have evolved to balance on the branched without any support but their tails. babies are the size of bees, and full grown are the size of dogs, babies are called nyms, and the nyms must always stay in their nests because of how small they can be. the only predators they have are jaguars, unless they are on the jungle floor. they are amphibians which means they need water for their skin or somethin like that. which is why they make puddles using birds nests, after they eat the eggs of the bird they take the nest of the branch and move it to an ideal living space, if there are no nests around they make their own, then they take mud so no water can leak and patch up the holes so no water will escape. then they scoop up water with their mouth then pour it in the nest, it might sound disgusting but it really isnt, then after mating they raise their young by staying close. nyms no matter what color they will be when they grow up, they are always a bluish green kinda dark color that matches the color of the water in their region so that if their are any predators they wont notice the nyms
