hi so i normally would never do something like this. but. *sets them down at your feet very gently and makes direct eye contact with you*

so here!! a species of dream demon, or spirit that manifest near humans who have trouble sleeping and need help. they take the form of small to medium sized stuffed animals, and take on stuffed animal like qualities. they have soft plastic, porcelain, rubber etc, faces that hold one expression and night lights on the tip of their tail. being around them makes humans drowsy and relaxed, and they can even release special scents that will help relax their human. they exist to help you sleep, and in return eat your dreams (this does not hurt their human).

theyre mostly a good species, though some can be evil. the "evil" ones still help put their humans to sleep, but instead of letting them rest drain their life force via nightmares. this gives them more power than dreams would, which in return, can have Weird effects on the spirit. they can learn to stand on two legs, their faces can become expressive, and in rare cases they can even learn to speak a little bit of their humans language. though they can be "reformed" or "tamed", and learn that Evil bad, be Nice.

though they take on plush qualities and feel and look like them, they are not and they only take this form to be appealing to humans. they always have a night light of some sort on their tail, they cannot live without one. if its removed, extinguished, or broken, the spirit disappears and does not come back. they can however, be damaged, but it weakens the spirit significantly.

they can have many different accessories, forms (pawed or hooved), fur types, etc. but they must always have a light of some sort (doesnt need to be a ball, it can be any shape or anything that produces light. yes it could be a literal fire (like charmander!!)) and a non-plush face.

dont have a name for them yet, but frightlights is one i quite enjoy (suggested by werewolf :) thank you ollie)

Today is week one of Every Monday a new OC is made. For my first week, I decided to do something outside of my comfort zone. I had never tried out a sitting position, let alone using realistic colors to make a semi realistic dog breed, or replicate it. I came down to as the first new OC of my mini series, a Golden Retriever named Elliot. He has a pure soul (hence the halo) and he is around 4 years old. Elliot is a male and he is a sweet little man.
