Just something to familiarize myself with Oekaki! I couldn't get pen pressure to work, so I just went with a more MSPaint-style brush and called it good. Spent a lot of time just playing around with the settings, although you probably wouldn't be able to tell by the picture, heh. |

Thank you for the interest! But I'd rather not trade it right now, or at least not this version of it. I'm not suuuuper proud of the art and I'd rather redraw it in a program I'm familiar with + actually pull up reference so it's a little more polished before releasing it out into the world.

Tobias is a troubled artist, who spends his time searching for the emotional victory of a perfect art piece. The problem, is that it becomes harder and harder to find the older and more ambitious he gets, driving himself to extremes and dark places in his search for something earnest in a futile effort to constantly outdo himself. In the process, he's more than lost himself and what he really stands for
Slight vent, more of a general thinking or discussion as opposed to actively complaining, im not terribly sad or upset, and nothing provoked this specifically, its just this nagging sadness that continues to linger in my mind (Feel free to disregard, I just like to be honest about where I am with things, rather than put on any sort of fake persona) This past week or two, I really haven't felt like myself. I just feel very unwanted, annoying, like my friends only tolerate me or don't really want me involved and I have no real purpose for...existing. I keep having to fight off those urges telling me to just...delete my discord, vanish from the internet, that I don't deserve to be in anyone elses way. Ive been fighting just to validate myself as worthy to talk to anyone, or deserving of even having friends. My art makes me sad, as I feel inadequate as an artist. Like I contribute nothing to anyone, and while its just a mindless stress relief, and while I'm happy when I draw for even a short time, I feel like my art is pointless, like I have no big message or statement to convey And ultimately, my rational side knows full well that these things aren't true. That my friends haven't kicked me out yet, so they must want me around (to some degree), that my art doesn't have to have a statement to have meaning to me, that all that really matters is that I enjoy creating But thats why I get so frustrated with this battle between what I know to be rational, and the irrational feelings that come with anxiety and depression. I know better, and yet I utterly fail to be able to control the feelings that seem to pervade every action I take I'll move on, I'll get better, and then it will inevitably come back again. |
