    don't uh
    usually post things like these

    its not necessarily vent art but kind of ? a life update?
    been struggling a lot mentally with my moods and emotions, for particularly no reason and I can't offer an explanation to it, thus I've been distant everywhere,, my life is so mundane that I feel that I have to change something
    but all the changes, I need to wait for them to come to me, as they're happening in the future
    so I just sit here...
    but at the same time I'm growing more and more independent and the impulse to just
    drop everything and go somewhere is in the back of my mind, and I know I won't act on it
    but what if I do?
    yaknow?

    anywho yeah, this piece is my boy Quilo, a husky who can manifest himself to appear like a guiding spirit
    he packed my hypothetical bag :)

          just a cover for some wc designs i plan on making sometime, for some made-up nonexistent clan i guess.

          i might give some away that i don't like, i dunno really yet. these will all just be for fun, honestly.


          also, feel free to list random wc names below (it doesn't have to be a 'traditional' wc name either, could be smthin like 'billypaw' or whatever) and i'll try to make a design based on that name.

omg i love your cat designs and I cant wait to see what you do with these!! as for wc names the first thing that comes to mind is splashfire though it's been so long since i read the series that I have no idea if that's even a legal name but given u said it doesnt matter I guess thats not really a concern

          first design and it literally sucks, but ill just worry abt it later ok

          • is robust and brawny despite looking slender

          info blurb: born and raised as a kitty-pet for most of their youth, tigerstar was once a very carefree and naive cat. they were nicknamed ‘little tiger’ by his mother, who got the idea after hearing her two-legs read various books about tigers to their offspring. despite never seeing one, she thought he matched the descriptions from those books and thus named him after them.

          little tiger lived on into early adulthood in the two-legs place before curiosity got the best of him one night and he ventured off away from home to never return again.

          being a wild, feral cat was hard living for him. the outside world and its harsh realities has made him jaded and more mature. he had to learn how to survive out there on his own without any help.

          now as the leader of his own clan many years later, others view him as a serious and no-nonsense type of cat.

Aww, thank you so much!! I've been having sunrise/sunsetty colors on the brain and want to make everything pink and orange haha. I think it wound up looking a little muddy with the values, but that just calls for more practice!!

perhaps you might try your hand at drawing other species first before going back at your character project again. Not actually designing characters off of other species, but just drawing the species themselves, things like cats, birds, etc. Then once you get the feel for those try designing your character again and add little things here and there from what you learned from drawing those other animals. ^^

Also dont be afraid of a pop of unnatural color here or there. doesn't have to be like an eye burning color pallet, but like you could still do naturals and give them blue or pink fur highlights or somethin. <3

By the way there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a bunch of characters that are the same species, all of your kiddos are lovely. <3 <3
