Paladin ran his hands along the beachgrass, savoring the cool night air and the sticky resistance of the grass blades across his paw pads. The salted breese drifted in from the horizon, mussing up Paladin’s carelessly styled fur. It was fine, he mused, perhaps the tousled look suited him. It was slow, but Paladin was learning to love the curious little planet he had crash landed into. There were many creatures here that looked much like he did, though admittedly he had to conceal some of his more ‘alien’ features to fit in. Paladin particularly disliked hiding his extra arms, it made doing anything a much longer process.

Maybe they could let loose on the beach… so long as there were no other onlookers. Maybe with the extra muscle Paladin would be able to swim back out to his ship’s ruins. They were haphazardly stashed – er – more so wrecked, in a mangrove canopy in the distance.

As he rounded the corner, however, Paladin was met with an unfamiliar sight. Where the sand ended, and the ocean began, the space between twinkled playfully. It was ever shifting, mesmerizing Paladin as it clouded and swirled with the ebb and flow of the tides. Every now and then one of the little creatures would pop up again, adding an extra layer to the ocean’s playful painting unfolding before him. Paladin smiled, entranced by the way each little light carried out its own dance, and yet so dutifully contributed to the whole scene he had stumbled upon. They reminded him of stars, and it drew tears to his eyes. Maybe he’d stay on this planet awhile, amongst these curious little bioluminescent creatures, playing in the sky’s likeness. Perhaps there was more to learn about this little planet, and new phenomena to behold.

finally, a dull pulse pushed him to full awakening, and he shimmied out from under the thick blankets and right into a pair of handmade slippers, a fur-lined bathrobe. but before he could saunter off to the kitchen, toss a few logs inside and a kettle atop the woodstove, his eyes were met with a flash of dazzling white.

beyond the windowpane, the world around had been dipped overnight in a jacket of glistening ice. each sprig and branch framed by sunlight against the frigid sunrise. he stood, frozen to the spot, but not by the cold. a gasp of reverence caught in his throat--despite his isolation, he forced it back down--at the sheer wonder of it all. every detail of every feature of the landscape, etched in the stillness. it was beautiful, more beautiful than he could ever explain.

the silence, here, he might often regret. a past of mixed choices, hasty decisions, of which he was not proud. alone in the mountains, alone with his thoughts, these memories bit harder than frost. he longed to take it back, return from banishment, see the faces of those he loved.

but for a precious instant, the whole world stopped turning, and he was lost, not alone, but one with the beauty of all the world, locked in ice.

In the year 4013 BBY, Xustuk's mother thought he was the average foal. He loved to play, he loved to run, and he loved to eat. He kept up with his studies, but when Xustuk was beginning to go through his pubescent stage of his life, his mother started to notice things. Xustuk had powers unlike anything she'd seen of his peers. He wasn't like the other foals, and he knew that.

It wasn't until Xustuk learned of Force-sensitive individuals. Everything they could do, he could do. It had all started to make sense, and so, through following historical texts, Xastuk started practicing this newfound ability on his own.

One day a strange man showed up at their home. He had mentioned Coruscant, that was war brewing, and that they were recruiting anybody they could in order to help protect the capital. It was the center of the galaxy, and in turn, the most important planet to protect. With his powers starting to round out, Xastuk was ecstatic, eventually convincing his mother to let him go out and use what he was gifted with. She was hesitant, but if it meant helping preserve the capital, she would let him go along.

The man, calling himself Aurren, set off with Xastuk on a journey that would change the colt's life forever. Aurren taught Xastuk everything he could ever need to know about using the Force, and while the tactics seemed cruel, if that's what it took, that's what he would do in order to protect Coruscant.
Aurren spoke of their leader more times than Xastuk could count. Exar Kun was his name, and it quickly became a name that he was familiar with. Everything they did was under Kun's command, and by the time they touched down on Coruscant, Xastuk had grown into a very powerful soldier. His Force had been rounded out to the point where it had proven to be deadly, proven to be useful. Dark Jedis, they called themselves. The name itself had confused Xastuk, but he was told that they were Jedi fighting for the right side. That the "real" Jedi had turned against the Universe and sought ultimate power.

The war, deemed the Great Sith War, was very short. Exar Kun had been put to rest, but still Xastuk stood side by side with the Dark Jedi forces. And to this day, that is where he remains.

History: Wisp was born into the ranks of the Eerie not long before the current leader Ghost, and was one of the raptors that went through training alongside Ghost. The two raptors used to have a very intense rivalry determined to out perform the other at any given opportunity. Wisp came into their own after an initially failed hunt that they helped get back under control, where multiple trainees had gotten cut off from the rest of the pack by one of the many carnotaurus that roamed the fields. Wisp managed to pull the rag tag group of raptors into something resembling a cohesive unit, and while they didn't take home an epic tale about besting one of the massive brutes they did make it home with no casualties. On the back of that notable event Wisp was a heavily considered contender for the leader position, and even though they lost out on that there are many pack members that still advocate for Wisp to take the mantle of second.

Position: Wisp’s position within the raptor pack has been something that was hotly debated recently. Ghost was one of the few raptors their leader had selected for consideration before they retired, and if Ghost was nominated there was a good portion of the pack that felt Wisp deserved a mention as well. While Wisp’s dedication as a leader in their hunts was noticeable, and some thought she deserved the leader position because of it, but she ended up losing that position to the younger Ghost. While a younger Wisp might’ve resented her former rival for taking the spot at the top a few thought she deserved, she didn’t feel as angry as she thought she would. She returned to her place as one of the lead hunters of the pack, and what once was a pointed rivalry had bled away to a mutual respect. With Ghost still having yet to chose a second in command, and the two further leaning on each other who knows what the future holds.

Personality: Wisp was once a fiery and very intense young raptor but after gravitating towards a hunting occupation she mellowed out a lot. Part of this was due to the nature that being an active hunter instilled, with so much relying on precise strategy she had to curb a lot of her impulsiveness. After a good number of years in such an intensive and demanding job, as well as putting her personal rivalry with Ghost aside the fire simmered down. Wisp grew into a very level headed leader of the hunt that quickly gained respect across her discipline even from hunters that both held higher rankings and we’re many years her senior. Wisp’s new calmer lease on her life in the pack also garnered her attention including from, hilarious to the raptors she trained with Ghost. With their old grudges aside Wisp’s genuine care for her friends that she likes to keep tucked away.

Lilith is a ferocious raptor. She’s quick on her feet, quick-witted but also quick to anger. She does not enjoy the company of strangers and are extremely cautious around them, quick to snarl and snap to deter them from coming closer. However, after getting through her tough exterior, Lilith is actually a much more enjoyable company to be around. She’s dangerously protective of her pack and wouldn’t hesitate to put her life on the line for them. Lilith is generally a quiet raptor on her own and is very independent. She is not familiar with how teams work together but she isn’t opposed to trying new things, especially those who can aid in helping reap more benefits. Lilith is definitely a slow to warm kind of raptor which takes some time for others to get comfortable around her and vice versa but when she becomes part of the pack, Lilith is an invaluable member.

Lilith was born in the arid wastelands. She was a lone clutch. Just her egg laid in a small little nest. The desert had been harsh to any living being daring enough to call it home. Food was scarce and water was like a miracle from heaven. However, they made do with it. Lilith’s raptor pack owned the arid wastelands and all she did was follow along. Food was hard to come by and she hated having to constantly starve. One would think she’d get used to the hunger but all Lilith could wonder about was why starve in the desert when she and the rest of the raptor pack is aware of the lush green lands just east of their home. Everytime she brought it up, she would be viciously shot down. She couldn’t understand why the lead was adamant on suffering in the desert and dragging the pack along in his circus show.
Lilith grew sick of it. Sick of having to starve. Sick of having to fight for even just a mouthful of water. Sick of fighting for just scraps. Sick of watching members of her pack fall. She had it. Lilith left at the crack of dawn but the lead was already up and caught her leaving. The lead raptor was furious, raining vicious claws and bites on Lilith. However, she was just as ferocious and returned his attack back tenfold. As the sun rose, the winner was clear. Lilith had won. She looked back one final time at the slowly diminishing and weak raptor pack she was familiar with. Her parents had long perished. Those who care for her had also lost their fight against starvation and heat. She left quietly, heading east.
For once in her life, Lilith set foot on lush green grass. Water was in abundance. The first thing she did was take a big gulp. She could see many little mammalians and reptilians scuttling around. It felt like heaven. However, Lilith was also quick to find out that a lone raptor like her was quickly dropped for the top of the food chain. Predators were also in abundance. Lilith would spend many years alone honing her survival skills, making her an efficient and independent raptor.

Okami let out an exasperated shrill. This was the fifth prey in nearly 2 weeks that had gotten away from him. His bright coat had made him a painful eyesore, easily seen by prey. He was only eating enough for basic functioning. Evening had fallen and Okami returned back to the glacial mountains that he called home. Ice caverns provided a good temporary shelter when he was too far away from his cave. However, that fateful night, Okami would meet a raptor that would interest him.
The moon shone brightly in the sky, reflecting off the ice and water. Lilith had wandered a bit too far and got ambushed by a pack of Troodons. Tiny as they are, they worked well, were intelligent and was nearly able to bring Lilith down. Had a random Triceratops not wander too close to them, Lilith would have been a goner. She was only alive by luck. Dirtied and beaten nearly an inch from death, Lilith needed to seek temporary shelter to rest for the night. She slid into a cavern, not noticing that it had already been occupied. As she took a few steps in, she noticed bright red eyes glowing from deeper in the cave. Menacing growls and the sound of claws stepping on ice filled her senses. Adrenaline pumped through Lilith as she hissed and snarled, ready to fight despite her condition. The moon casted a cool hue into the cave. Okami’s blue coat against the icy cavern looked at if a piece of the glacier had walked out. Lilith could barely believe her eyes but still pounced on Okami. The pair of raptors fought for a brief moment before Lilith suddenly collapsed. Her body could no longer handle the fatigue. Normal raptors would deliver the finishing blow but Okami stood still, observing her. He knew she was a fighter, definitely better than him. He dropped the last piece of meat he stashed away before the collapsed raptor and quietly walked away.
This wouldn’t be the last time he planned on meeting her.

Describe their position within the pack (174)
After Lilith joined the pack, she was immediately given the position as warrior. Due to her keen intellect and ferociousness, it was a clear decision. Her role as warrior was to attack any potential threats that trespassed into the pack’s territory. They are the pack’s greatest form of attack, specialising in taking down threats. However, that doesn’t mean that Lilith is an incapable hunter. She is more than capable of taking down prey larger than herself as she had been for the past many years of solitude living. Lilith enjoyed the role she was given. It gave her a sense of pride and belonging to the pack, something she had never experienced before.
Lilith takes her role seriously and has developed other ways of detecting threats should the scouts be unavailable. Lilith is keen enough to observe how the aerial dinosaurs react. Flying away or circling at a spot could mean different things. She would check and make sure nothing smells or looks off. Only when everything is as it should be will Lilith find relief.

At the current moment, it was only Lilith and Okami in the pack. Lilith holds a deep respect towards the latter, seeing him as her saviour as well as a lead raptor with phenomenal potential. Lilith had spent many years alone but Okami was able to show how much better it was to follow him in a pack than live alone. Okami is able to make quick and smart decisions that Lilith could as well, which makes for great banter and debates. He understood where she was coming from. He never once judged her for her background or actions. Lilith is quick-tempered, something which Okami can quell. He is able to stop her and make her think more rationally before acting.
In truth, Lilith would rather die than admit but she sees Okami as her anchor. She never thought she would meet a raptor that could not only match her but also show her what it’s like to be in a proper and cooperative pack.
