Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

Everyone ran to see the source and saw a young trike running in circles near the cliff. The hunt team had separated it and its mother from the herd and were chasing her down while the hatchling attempts escape.
"It looks small, do you think we could take it on?"
"I don't think that's a good idea."
"Maybe we could make it run off the cliff?"
"And let it crush someone? No way, let's get it!"
"But we could get hurt!"
"Shut up and help us!"
Stab and his friends ran around to surround their prey, yelling at each other to go the right way. As they close in raindrops start to fall.

Who was it?

A sibling? Cousin?

It didn't matter, The young iguanodon they had been stalking was now fleeing back towards its herd.

Not wanting to return empty handed, Rowan chased after it. A sentiment shared by the rest of his hunting party, who were quick to follow his lead.

The iguanodon may have had a head start, but the young raptors were quickly gaining ground. Rowan felt adrenaline running through his veins as he prepared to make that fateful leap.

A cry from behind. A warning.

Rowan barely managed to stop himself in time, as something large charged out of the bushes in front of him. A tyrannosaurus rex.

The iguanodon didn't stand a chance.

The raptors returned to their pack empty handed that day.

All Rowan could feel was disappointment.

His first hunt. His first failure.

Chicoon are a unique type of dragon somewhere settling between
an Amphithere and a furred Western Dragon!
However that doesnt explain a lot of their weird traits such as their
head wings, long slender neck, large nose, or floating infinity-flame

my first CS in like...3 years?? i really like these chicoons! this is my midnight rottweiler <3 i imagine he has slight sparkles in his fur like stars. Might name him Weiler!
looking to maybe get a line transfer?? i was looking into it but it's a lot to take in for a beginner! can pay in C$ or pets!

also maybe some help with rarity...i know he's common so far but that's it! hoping to get a bunch more of these little ear wing cuties!

    The small kit wriggled out of the nursery, hearing the faint screech of the iron beast. He runs to a tall stump and clambers his way up, trying to get a look at the hulking beast running by in the horizon. The cowpokes cry out for him to get down, but all Wormkit can hear is the hissing of the iron beast settling down. He watches in awe as it slows to a stop and humans exit, greeting friends or family in the shaded platform.

    Wormkit has wanted nothing more than to ride the iron beast, and hopes one day to even tame it. He day dreams about leading the humans into the beast, and telling it where to go to get them to their destination safely. He often runs around camp trying to mimic the iron beast's cry and imagining himself running down its path.

    Blackstar hopes Wormkit grows out of this someday, and plans on making Wormkit a Gunner due to his climbing skills and his proficiency in running- but who knows? Maybe Wormkit will tame the iron beast and achieve his dreams of riding the rails.
