The heavy weight of the sea, the churning of the waves that are inquiet as your heart. You don't get to rest and if you could you're not sure you could get up back again.

The sunlight cuts across the waves to hit your eyes and you're blinded for a moment, you wiggle your ears in discomfort.

You sigh and decide to go to the surface, as the first breath of air fills your lungs you can already feel the depths calling for you again. That insidious whisper, honeyed and sweet.

The shore is on sight, you didn't realize you were so close to it. Tentatively and cautiously, you swim closer and you finally start to feel the pull. That tug on your gut, like a fish hook.

return to me the sea calls you back. You ignore it, your paws touch the sand, you feel it between your toes and as you take a deep breath, that tug becomes like a ripping sensation. Stubbornly you clench your teeth and grip the sand harder, you're just... so close.

But you're not strong, you never were and so, with a splash you return to the sea.

No matter how many times you go to the surface, the result is the same.

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

It was a late night that your keldine set foot into tavern, pushing past creaky wooden doors with their nose and emerging into the onslaught of roars and cheers, friendly yipping between other keldines and challenging growls from others. Colorful bodies weave between one another here; cliques, clubs, and packs alike taking up a majority of the tables. Hardly any of them pay any mind to the keldine that just walked in, perhaps earning a glance or two and a small nod from the grey canid behind the counter- a keldine that yours would actually recognize, with blue-green scales and an unsettling bright gaze. Your keldine would look away briefly as they walk further into the establishment, accidentally brushing scales with a few others as they push by. But once their gaze came back up again, they would find the grey kel, whom everyone here would know as Link, actually patting a paw upon the counter to gesture them near.
Your keldine approaches warily, raising up on hind legs and placing their forelegs upon the counter. Link slides a metal bowl over to them, to which they expect to find some kind of beverage (or even poison, knowing Link) within- but instead your keldine looks upon a cloth parchment curled into a scroll within the bowl.

"Take it." Link says, a voice that seemed to echo in your keldine's head and briefly made them dizzy. "Consider yourself worthy."
Not wanting any trouble, especially from this kel, they take the parchment into their jaws and quickly hurry out of the tavern. It was getting too warm in there anyways.

Slipping into a dimly lit area from a lamppost, your keldine sets the scroll down and rolls it open, reading quickly and discovering what was handed to them was a flyer. It described in urgency what sounded like a dragon, and an obvious need to have it slain. Scanning the page, your keldine wasn't too convinced that this was a job worth their time-
until reading the reward...

...it would appear your keldine would be setting off in the morning!

Paper ponies are a magical breed, known to only be as tall as a paperclip.
How these ponies came to be is unknown, but what we do know is that they can jump into and out of books as they please. This can sometimes wreak havoc on the book, leaving misspelled words or even distorted chapters. But it can also allow them to take things out of the book with them. Some Paper Ponies have even been known to take entire characters out of the book with them, leaving their owners very confused at the tiny people running around their homes.
Paper Ponies can come in many different colors and styles, some looking like average horses and others looking like they came right out of a child’s fairytale, perhaps nightmare even.

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.
