The Mormont Equine Society is a recently founded group dedicated to the conservation and promotion of two modern British breeds; the Mormont Pony and the Mormont Sport Horse. These two breeds find their origins in a number of European breeds, with the intention to create a versatile breed capable of outclassing their predecessors.

The Mormont Equine Society (MES) oversaw the creation of the breed in the early 20th century and originally consisted of only a few hobbyist breeders. By the 1950's the MES became nationally recognised and numbers had grown exponentially as the developing breeds garnered interest. The MES now holds a number of shows annually and keeps a record of all registered individuals of the two breeds. More recently, they have also been given the responsibility of controlling feral Mormont populations through rehoming programs.


The Mormont mascot, Astro! Astro has infinite slots and is available to be bred by any user. Astro is free to use in any character development or competition prompts.

The Lone Bashkir Curly horse is a very unique and set apart breed. They are well known for their curly coats, caused by many gene mutations, and their versatility. Lone Curly Horses are often found as chestnut, but have a wide variety of colors, some more rare than others. They range in height from 13-16 hands, but are often found between 14-15 hands. These horses are found wild in Nevada, USA. Although they are wild, they are also known for their calm and gentle nature. Lone Bashkir Curly Horses got their name due to them not staying in herds with other horses. Since they are always separated, they often wander far into owned land and cause disruptions. They have very much grown in population, causing problems and wreaking havoc, therefore creating the need for a relocation organization. The LBC Organization is running a rehoming program to protect these horses while still preserving them. If you're interested, keep an eye out for LBCs looking for a new place to call home!

prompt: Fernie and Gorshe have somewhat of a sibling/mentor relationship. They met soon after Fernie hatched. Unfortunately for them, it was a gusty day when Fernie hatched... They got tossed around for miles and lost their parents before eventually tumbling into Gorshe while he was floating along and absorbing the sun's rays while riding the wind. Being still pretty young himself and not wanting harm to befall this puffy pokemon, Gorshe followed Fernie until the winds calmed down and huddled with them, teaching them to grab the ground and hold on tight to Gorshe's big ears to prevent floating away! Fernie reminded Gorshe of himself when he had been a Hoppit, subject to the wind and helpless against big gusts... Gorshe hoped he could teach this mon to avoid a similar fate. After that, Fernie stuck around and Gorshe wouldn't complain about having new companionship. Fernie mainly goes by They/Them because that's how Gorshe refered to them when Gorshe didn't know what to think about Fernie before he gave them a name.

Gorshe would never think of himself as a parent- too young for any of that! He'd be offended you'd even assume such a thing... But they do have a brotherly bond with Fernie, almost seeing them as a little brother. Fernie... Thinks he will evolve into a Skiploom, so it's fair to say they share the sentiment. But who could blame them when the two mon are so similar? Gorshe isn't the best influence, as he is somewhat of a prankster. Though he still does his best to teach this newly hatched friend how to ride the winds and not get caught in trees. Cotton mon have to stick together if they want to make it in the world after all.

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.
