Andaluz Sport Horse #028 based on this drawing by paradise,
by Idem @ Mon Jun 27, 2022 3:02 pm [Reply]

Image
information!! wrote:Andaluz Sport Horses are a cross between the Andalusian and the Spanish Sport Horse. These horses have been bred
to combine their strength and agility to create the perfect showing champions. Andaluz's are extremely intelligent and elegant
horses, but are also known to have a fiery spirit. Their name is quite literally a combination of the two species, with andaluz
meaning "andalusian" in Spanish, and sport horse coming from their Spanish heritage.

These horses excel in endurance competitions such as cross country and show jumping, but are also capable of dressage
and harness pulling. Andaluz's also enjoy leisure riding as a way to bond between horse and rider. These sport horses can be
ridden either Western or English, but for showing purposes, will always be shown in English tack and attire.

Their heights can range anywhere from 14-16hh, with the average falling between 15-15.3hh. The most common
coat colors are the basic solids, but Andaluz's can have any coat color that has been discovered with the exception of mutations.

    It’s time to set sail!
For a handful of weeks now, a rather large group of keldines have been banded together by a thirst for adventure; for danger! They have been traveling between port cities on a large borrowed ship known as The C.S. Link (unsure what the ‘cs’ stands for). Unfortunately, nothing truly exciting has happened as of yet, and the group is growing more restless than before.
However, as the keldines gather again to embark on another journey to another neighboring town, they are called to attention by a ghostly howl:

“Beware the monsters of the sea! Even the strongest of Keldines can be dragged to the depths!"

The crowd around the docks seem to fall quieter than before, heads turning to try and find who it was that had cried out such a warning, though the howl did not appear to belong to anyone currently present.

…Monsters? In the sea your keldine was about to depart into? This was going to be good!

    mini adventure raffle
    prizes;
keldine 610, keldine 611, keldine 612, keldine 613, rare MYOs, edit items, c$

up to 20 users may sign up! you must own at least one keldine to participate, as i will be using your keldine's name to narrate this story/raffle.
This group of keldines that sign up will travel together as a large crew and each will have to make a decision in a small reading game, where two (or more) choices will be presented after a small blurb. After each story piece is posted, you will have 10 minutes to respond with the corresponding choices (simply A or B, or the full answer), or your keldine gets tossed overboard.
But watch out, some responses will have consequences that lead your keldine astray, and they will not be able to make it back to the group. However, some might have rewards (c$/edits/myos) in exchange for risk/losing your way! Don't be afraid to make a daring choice. There will be up to 11 decisions you will make to move the story!
(Everything that happens in this game is ooc, unless you’d like it to be part of your keldines story!)

    tl;dr requirements:
    - you must own at least 1 keldine (winter event myos permitted)
    - you must make one of two (or three) choices unless specifically instructed not to
    - you must be okay with me using your keldine out-of-character for the story

additionally, if you are in the discord I will be providing an @Adventure Ping to your profile so you will be notified after each story piece is posted!
You do not need to be in the discord to participate.

BET #008 based on this drawing by vak
by vak @ Fri Jul 23, 2021 10:09 am [Reply]

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

navigating the breeder event:
[url=link]item hub/points[/url]
bulletin board

many developments have been made for our species recently, so the staff would like to take a moment to take a step back, and truly begin to explore the new genes and markings we have been adding recently! the hope for this event is to perhaps spread some knowledge on genomes and the range trotter genes, spark an interest in breeding, and for everyone participating to enjoy themselves!!!
before we begin, allow me to explain how this will work; participants may scroll below to apply for their two (2) free founder trotters, they will be a breeding pair so you will receive one mare and one stallion. each trotter produced for this event will be allotted only two (2) breeding slots. as well, each foundation trotter created for this event will be showcasing just one more marking for the species- camarillo white*. all of the genotypes will be hidden until you reveal them! (follow item hub link for more info) your goal is to produce foals that do not express this gene! there will be items, hms, and an event point system in place!

* [CwCw/Cwcw] is a type of dominant white coat color that overrides any other underlying genes with a pale cream coat. heterozygous [Cwcw] is a slightly darker, more tanned version of the coat with light gray muzzle/eye skins, while homozygous [CwCw] is a pale, nearly white cream shade with light pink muzzle/eye skins.

1. abide by community and site guidelines, remain kind to others!
2. you are permitted to use any trotter produced for this event to breed, so long as you own them or have been granted one of their breeding slots. regular adopts and breedings will be unable to breed here.
3. you are permitted one set of founders, but may adopt and breed as many trotters as you would like.
4. Horse genotypes may only be revealed via purchase at the item hub.
5. prizes will be awarded for each of the goals met by individuals!
6. other artists are permitted to make adopts/breedings, but must contact me about the genotypes. as well, artists may not make their own breedings or founders!
