Many people mistake you for a monster hunter, and in some ways they are right, but you know yourself and a hunter you are not. Too clumsy and squeamish by half. But while studying beasts in the wild one has to be prepared, and that's what half of your gear is, after all one mistake is what is needed to lose a life. And while you could bury yourself safely in your scholarly pursuits the call of the unknown has a greater allure on you.

And it was such, in the frozen lands of the north where you found the weirdest beast to date. You didn't even know they existed before, and to this day you chalk the encounter as a frostbitten, famelic hallucination.

You don't get many reptiles in the north. You don't get reptiles period. The cold and frost don't deal well with their cold-blooded bodies.

But that thing. That thing definitely was a reptile of some kind. Or maybe part. At first glance it seemed to walk with four legs, before standing at an impressive height on its two legs and moving like a kangaroo. With a slim snout with snaggled teeth it had a mane of chock full of off white-blue fur running down its back, it elevated on its shoulders like a pair of weird wings and ended in a long slim tail. Only its hands and feet were bare, with a terrible sickle claw on both its black scaly feet. It also had a pair of weird horns/ears on its head, but to this day you're unsure of their use or if they any besides intimidation factor.

You had been in the frozen lands of the north for too long already, you had ran out of food and you were 99% sure you got lost thanks to the blizzard at the time when you found it.

or more accurately, it found you.

The Lone Bashkir Curly horse is a very unique and set apart breed. They are well known for their curly coats, caused by many gene mutations, and their versatility. Lone Curly Horses are often found as chestnut, but have a wide variety of colors, some more rare than others. They range in height from 13-16 hands, but are often found between 14-15 hands. These horses are found wild in Nevada, USA. Although they are wild, they are also known for their calm and gentle nature. Lone Bashkir Curly Horses got their name due to them not staying in herds with other horses. Since they are always separated, they often wander far into owned land and cause disruptions. They have very much grown in population, causing problems and wreaking havoc, therefore creating the need for a relocation organization. The LBC Organization is running a rehoming program to protect these horses while still preserving them. If you're interested, keep an eye out for LBCs looking for a new place to call home!

Not many cats usually disturb her visits to the museum in the city, possibly because some of the still-standing, preserved dinosaur skeletons provide for a creepy backdrop at night, casting shadows of unknown and monstrous creatures she's only heard superstitions of after the disappearances of humans. She cares not for such mystical tales of them coming to life at midnight. In any case, it's a quiet, forgotten space and she has a morbid curiosity for those ancient bones of large reptilian predators, especially the long-necked ones where the weight of their heads has caused a lot of their bones to tumble down into a dusty heap at the bottom of the great hall. And, of course, she's a bit of a thrill seeker too when it comes to balancing on those same displays that are in danger of toppling over.

The Mormont Equine Society is a recently founded group dedicated to the conservation and promotion of two closely related modern British breeds; the Mormont Pony and the Mormont Sport Horse. These two breeds find their origins in a number of European stock, with the intention to create versatile horses capable of outclassing their predecessors.

The Mormont Equine Society (MES) oversaw the creation of the Mormont Pony breed in the early 20th century and originally consisted of only a few hobbyist breeders. By the 1950's the MES became nationally recognised and numbers had grown exponentially as the developing two breeds garnered interest. The MES now holds a number of shows annually and keeps a record of all registered horses. More recently, they have also been given the responsibility of controlling feral Mormont populations through rehoming programs.

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

The Mormont Equine Society is a recently founded group dedicated to the conservation and promotion of two closely related modern British breeds; the Mormont Pony and the Mormont Sport Horse. These two breeds find their origins in a number of European stock, with the intention to create versatile horses capable of outclassing their predecessors.

The Mormont Equine Society (MES) oversaw the creation of the Mormont Pony breed in the early 20th century and originally consisted of only a few hobbyist breeders. By the 1950's the MES became nationally recognized and numbers had grown exponentially as the developing two breeds garnered interest. The MES now holds a number of shows annually and keeps a record of all registered horses. More recently, they have also been given the responsibility of controlling feral Mormont populations through rehoming programs.
