This breed of mini drafts, a mix that was started between Haflingers and Icelandic Horses, was established in the early 1900s to assist in the development of roadways and hiking trails within Banff National Park up in Canada. Their broad chests and fluffy winter coat make living up in the cold Rockies bearable, and their densely muscled bodies make all the hard work they typically do possible for such a small breed of draft horse. Their size range varies, coming in around 13hh-15hh, with the tallest horses being only 15.0hh.

They tend to make a much better working horse rather than show horse and can often be used for carriage pulling and pulling farm equipment. They can still be ridden though despite being great working horses, and have retained the same unique gaits that Icelandic Horses are known for, the 'tölt' and 'skeið' gaits. They are typically hard working, easy going, and spirited horses, making for a great working or riding companion.

In recent years, the breed has come back into the spotlight after it had been more or less abandoned within the park and surrounding areas. Locals took it upon themselves to set up an event during the warmer months of the year to catch the wild horses, know as the "Summer Mini Round-Up". During the round-up, people from across the world can come and watch the horses parade through the main thoroughfare, making sure to keep an eye out on any horses they'd like to adopt after they've all been herded into the auction fields.

Neversetting had never been a fan of the tunnels, especially since he had awoken. They were too dark and foreboding for his liking. With a grumble he shook himself, clearing his fur of dirt and his head of ringing. He looked around with his limited eyesight, only to freeze at the sight before him. Before him stood the figure of a cat, face contorted in an expression of terror. However, the figure was made entirely of stone. Facial details, ear, and even fur clumps. It was like a cat had been wrapped in it, unable to escape. With horror seizing his heart, he realized who was he was looking at.. he realized what he had just fallen into.

Before him, and somewhere in the pit he had just fallen into lay a slumbering stone serpent.. Neversetting froze, realizing he had fallen into the graves of the lost. Cats and other creatures who had fallen victim to the stone serpent's petrifying sight would stand here forever as a warning and a reminder of those who had been lost. Primarily because it was too dangerous to retrieve them. Where a stone figure was.. the stone serpent wasn't usually far behind. A chill ran down neversetting's spine.

Behind the lithe form of the feline, a great eye opened, staring down at the newcomer that had disturbed the snake's rest. A hiss pulled itself from the depths of its throat, and the stone serpent reared up, jaws opening as the feline turned to find the stone serpent behind him.

Gazing into the eyes of the great snake, Neversetting felt frozen to the spot. An odd sensation coated his pelt, but as he stared into the eyes of the serpent, he felt as if he could forget all of the terror that had kept him here. He felt oddly at peace. The stone wrapped itself around the stone serpent's victim, encompassing the tom in its mineral layer. And then the world went silent. Silent as the stone around him.

Rustling is heard in the near distance. Ahead of you, leaves are shifting softly and bright squeaking sets your whiskers trembling. You touch your tail to Oysterbite's nose, three kittensteps behind your right haunch. Pausing briefly, you and Oysterbite share a glance before splitting in opposite directions to flank the small mammal. The grass is tall and viridescent. Silently stalking toward the noises, you take a moment to enjoy the fresh sunlight rising above the horizon. The gentle breeze stirring amongst the rigid oaks distracts you for a moment and you think about the fresh herbs that await you. The jarring rattle of a crow reminds you of your purpose. Slinking silently, you slowly push your way through the overgrown lea before coming to a stop. You raise your tail and walk into the clearing ahead.

Oysterbite tenses as they hear the nearby rustling. Stalking forwards for a moment longer, he and Y/A pause to share a glance then split from each other. Slinking towards the right of the noise, Oysterbite takes a moment to think back on the prior season.
