This breed of mini drafts, a mix that was started between Haflingers and Icelandic Horses, was established in the early 1900s to assist in the development of roadways and hiking trails within Banff National Park up in Canada. Their broad chests and fluffy winter coat make living up in the cold Rockies bearable, and their densely muscled bodies make all the hard work they typically do possible for such a small breed of draft horse. Their size range varies, coming in around 13hh-15hh, with the tallest horses being only 15.0hh.

They tend to make a much better working horse rather than show horse and can often be used for carriage pulling and pulling farm equipment. They can still be ridden though despite being great working horses, and have retained the same unique gaits that Icelandic Horses are known for, the 'tölt' and 'skeið' gaits. They are typically hard working, easy going, and spirited horses, making for a great working or riding companion.

In recent years, the breed has come back into the spotlight after it had been more or less abandoned within the park and surrounding areas. Locals took it upon themselves to set up an event during the warmer months of the year to catch the wild horses, know as the "Summer Mini Round-Up". During the round-up, people from across the world can come and watch the horses parade through the main thoroughfare, making sure to keep an eye out on any horses they'd like to adopt after they've all been herded into the auction fields.

8. Breedings can be split (another users dog, must have proof of permission) or personal (your own dogs).
9. Dogs do not have slots, but instead females can be bred twice a month, and males can be bred four times a month. Puppies grow one week after posting date.

Raindrizzle lay in their nest of feathers and moss, watching the gray clouds drift lazily overhead. it's coming soon, they thought, a smile forming across their face. The air already felt heavy, and the temperature began to drop. Suddenly, a large raindrop splat on their nose through the scrap covering their head. suddenly a symphony of drips and drops began to play around Raindrizzle, the fat rain drops bouncing off the metal around camp. All the other Star Striders had ran to cover inside their nests, but Raindrizzle had already made their way to the middle of the camp, their dense fur beginning to soak through. The rain felt cool and fresh after the hot weather, and soon the thunder would begin to roll in- the bass to the rain's melody.

Blizzardfall knew this deep in their bones, truth so ingrained into their mind that sometimes, watching the windwalkers jump about on nothing, waterweavers with liquid hovering impossibly in the air, stoneshapers carving details into rock with only their claws, the heat from firestarters' flames warm on their pelt, they feel like they've fallen into a dream, maybe a nightmare.

Their mother, Snow, was what Moonclan would call a waterweaver as well. She was cunning. Drowning prey, calling fish into her waiting jaws, hiding in the river from a chasing predator. But Blizzard watched Snow grow confident, power-hungry, listened to her plans to take over the valley, watched as she killed another cat, drowned them on dry land, for nothing more than fishing in their river.

When Snow tried to make Blizzard do the same, to hurt others who were below them, those without the curse of the water in their veins, they refused- a mistake. Snow's expertise was unmatched, and Blizzard barely escaped with their life. As they fled deeper into the forest, Snow yowled after them to never show their face again in her territory, or she would find a way to drown them, too.

Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness.With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.

Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.

Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.

Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.

The Mormont Equine Society is a recently founded group dedicated to the conservation and promotion of two closely related modern British breeds; the Mormont Pony and the Mormont Sport Horse. These two breeds find their origins in a number of European stock, with the intention to create versatile horses capable of outclassing their predecessors.

The Mormont Equine Society (MES) oversaw the creation of the Mormont Pony breed in the early 20th century and originally consisted of only a few hobbyist breeders. By the 1950's the MES became nationally recognised and numbers had grown exponentially as the developing two breeds garnered interest. The MES now holds a number of shows annually and keeps a record of all registered horses. More recently, they have also been given the responsibility of controlling feral Mormont populations through rehoming programs.
