The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

The Collar:
Maggie acquired this collar when she was wandering around in the backstreets of a small town. She found a strange loop of fabric, presumably left by humans. It was soft to the touch, a silky yet plush feeling collar. When she slipped it on it was as if it was made perfectly to fit her. She developed a fascination with bells and their different tones and ended up hoarding them. Each one was interesting to her. Some had intricate carvings, some were smooth and plain, some made of tarnished brass while others a bright and shiny silver, and all of them had different and beautiful sounds.

Eventually, when she was tamed by a human going by the name of Tapestry, she revealed her stash of bells. Naturally the young woman's first reaction was shock at the sheer amount of bells Maggie had collected, but it faded into laughing. Maggie presented her favorite bell to her human friend, a shiny golden bell, plain and simple, with a pure, calming chime. Tapestry happily attached the bell to her new companion's collar. sealing the bond that would tie them together.

What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

It's been awhile since I posted a Makoatl for you guys, so I decided to finish a design off

Though Miles tends to be very kind-hearted and generous, she can't really hold a conversation due to her habit of getting through everything as fast as she can. Even when she's able to hold one, she starts to brag without realizing, also making sharp comments and sarcastic remarks. She honestly doesn't mean to turn her conversations bad, she simply acts before thinking over her actions. She can't stand being stuck in one spot, a trip to the hospital or to the dentist being her worst nightmare. She feels the need to constantly be on the move, always going somewhere and having something to do. Miles is confident and quite outgoing; however, her confidence levels are often too high, causing her to be a bit bossy and prone to getting easily annoyed when people don't hurry. Due to her mind constantly going a hundred Miles -pun entirely intended- a second, she rushes people a lot, only wanting to talk over or review the important parts before dashing off once more.

Miles is a marathon runner, is very athletic and extremely competitive. She enjoys traveling and adventure, most often questing to new marathons and races. She loves winning and tends to be a sore loser, but she still enjoys the game even though she's disappointed. In her travels, she's never honestly settled down anywhere, always on the move, so her personality says. Regardless, Miles always enters and finishes with a bang. This is part of the story of her nickname, Boom, came from. She now always signs as and introduces herself as Boom, only using her real name for friends she's very close to or for official buisness. The original beginning for the pet name started when she was still a pup. Her first race was a simple, short mile, with all the pups assigned a number. Miles was given '800M' as her number, the 'M' standing for the length she was running. The other pups noticed her seemingly explosive and extremely competitive nature, realizing the connection with her numbers. They began to call her Boom, giggling and teasing her. Then the name stuck, so she adopted it as her racing name.

What are Belldandy's?
Belldandys, also known as Belldees for short, are a fluffy little pixie horse the size of a small rodent. They share the genus name "Equixeus". The Belldee will fly from house to house, normally through a window, visiting little children and infants before they fall asleep. Their bells hold a certain pixie dust that brings the little ones good fortune and sweet dreams. Belldees can not open their eyes, yet somehow they can mysteriously "see" the world around them. They can come in an assortment of colors, any colors you could possibly imagine. Though Belldee's can fly, it is less common for them to have wings; their magical aura is what helps most to fly. Belldandys eat flower petals and leaves for the most part, anything else they eat would consist of an assortment of berries or grasses. One thing they love especially, but is so rare for them to come across is tea. They are obsessed with it and will stop dead in their tracks if they see a cup of it sitting on a table or stand. Lots of people leave tea out at night to try and spot the fluffy pixies.

What are they?

Puffin-Snouted Lizardtails, better known as "Puffsnouts", are a colorful mammal slightly resembling a bird, a dog, a lizard, and a cat. They have large, stout bodies, are approximately three feet in height, have a large, scaled and furred leopard gecko like tail, a furry body, and a beak-like face. Their ears are similar in shape to that of a deer's. They are very intelligent, having their own complex language and able to learn the language of other animals and humans. They mainly eat fish, fruits and meat, however they do not eat birds. They have small, but very sharp fangs and long claws that are retractable only on their front paws. They live in groups called "Clouds" ( EX: A Cloud of Puffsnouts ) that claim their own territories, but are usually peaceful with their neighbors. Puffsnouts are from another world and are, in a sense, "portal" animals who have the ability to travel to other worlds by use of their ability to create and close portals. What is a Great Plains Equine?:
The GPE are a special breed of horse. They are large and sturdy breed, suited best for working a farm and pulling carts. They also were once used as war horses during the war between the Mountain and Forest kingdoms. GPE stand at 13-17 hands, though are most commonly ranging at around 15-16 hands. Their coats are sleek and soft, the colors and patterns are too varied to even list, though they are most commonly found with a 'paint' style coat. Their manes and tails are long and flowing, their hooves heavily feathers and nearly fully concealed. GPE's have long beards under their chins, both male and female, and have a pair of horns that sweep backwards along their necks. Their eyes range in any color of the full spectrum, and produce a glow that resembles smoke, or possibly flames. They are docile beasts, but are not easily tamed

Lil' Rascal Rattery!
Here at Lil' Rascals you'll find many stunning little rats that you can adopt, buy, sell, breed and show.
Varieties that can be found here include (but not limited to) dumbos, manx, standards and hairless rats. All the rats here will be found only with natural colours and markings, with the occasional little oddity popping up.

Fancy rats are curious little critters that make wonderful pets for people of all ages due to their affectionate and inquisitve natures. Much like dogs, rats are highly intelligent rodents that too can be trained to learn to do a number of amazing tricks. They're friendly, sociable animals that thrive on the companionship of both humans and other rats - if you plan on keeping them, it's highly recommended to get more than just the one.

This particular rattie was taken from animal lover1234's request. They're a lovely warm lilac with berkshire marks. They also have a white headspot marking, although slightly mismarked so that it appears they have a second spot as well =3

To win this little one you must draw at least one piece of art (with a maximum of 3 pieces). You can order it if you like, however bonus points are awarded to those who draw it themselves. I will judge the art on effort rather than quality or quantity. All visual art, including pixel, icons, sketches and so forth are allowed.

Hello and welcome to Light Collector Adopts! Here you may adopt tiny mystical creatures known as Light Collectors. Light Collectors are very tiny and light, enabling them to have the ability to fly without having wings. One of the first things that one may notice, however, is their very strange glowing tails and horns. The color of a Collector's horns vary in color, and it is thought that the color represents their favorite color of light to ''eat''. Confused? Well, you see, a Light Collector eats or ''collects'' energy from light bulbs, giving them their name. A Light Collector needs to collect light to survive, as it is their main food source. A Light Collector may eat other things, such as fruit, but it doesn't help them very much hunger wise.

Sophronia likes to behave as mysteriously as possible. When in company, she does little things
to make her seem as though she has a deadly secret, not to mention she always behaves as
though someone is watching her and she cannot be overheard, and, thus, often meets friends
in "secret" much to their annoyance. She also uses many aliases, and has two or more addresses
to "secretly" send letters to because everything she does is ever so confidential apparently...

Stoni is pretty interested in other Light Collector's lights really she wants to know why they are different colors and if it has anything to do with personalities. It's kinda weird because she'll be really close to one's horns and or tail and others find her really weird because of it.

I just love how Sophronia's interesting fact correlated with the elusive and secretive nature of the animal she is based on. Not to mention that she sounds like a very intriguing character in her own right. Take good care of her!!

And to .forever., your fact was great as well! It's really unique and almost quirky for Stoni to go about investigating other LC's lights, though the fact that the color of the light might have something to do with personality is certianly interesting to think about! So because of that you are getting a runner up!
