He feels like he has a connection to the sky, so dancing during fullmoon is his way of celebrating that the moon is 'whole' again. Because of his habit to stay up at night, he is usually quite tired during day.

Personality: A mild mannered little dove with far too much curiosity for her own good. Tranquil, serene, and often rather drowsy during the day, but she's an absolute delight under the moon's rays. Where she can then be found dancing, and twirling, and tripping over her own gangly feet that she's yet to grow into, making herself dizzy and just generally bounding around with all the bright cheer her youth affords her. And we all know just how inexhaustible that childish energy is.
Other:
- My Reasoning: Her name comes from Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata', one of my favorite works. Moonlight would seem a bit overused and tacky for such a sweet little one, while Sonata, on the other hand, comes from the Latin and Italian 'sonare'; 'to sound'. A musical piece that is played rather than sung. Then reading through the species information and how humans can't hear their vocalizations... It fits, at least to me. While her nickname, Sonya, means wisdom- like the scholars of old who'd read late into the night by the low burning light of a candle flame. Looking at this darling the thoughts that immediately came to mind were those of the night sky, of the peaceful stillness under the moon- a stage waiting for the dancers to start, the song of crickets, frogs, and owls' wings, and of the cold, crisp air which always lends me the strength and energy that the heat of the day had stolen. That said, I've probably explained more than the name, but my reasoning behind her personality as well. Even her gender was influenced; yin and yang, black and white, moon and sun, dark and light, passive and aggressive, water and fire, female and male- so on and so forth.
- A ballad for Sonya:

• Hijinks; The Stranger's Dance
  - It was early in the morning when the stranger came around, wining the Matriarch's favor quite soundly with a mouthful of feathers and a dance that caught the eye of many of the clan members nearby at the time. Not that Sonya would know, dead to the world in blissful slumber as she was, but it was an important point to make. This newcomer would play an important role in the young pup's life, even with as fleeting a visit as his would prove to be. Yet it wasn't until a tick past noon that our beloved heroine awoke, and what an awakening it was. Glass clashed with wood, horn, and it's own kin in a clinking, clacking, chiming serenade as the unknown male sought to impress one of the clan's females. Leaping up to clip the lower lying tree boughs with his antlers so as to continue his dance among the swirling, windswept leaves that complemented his own gold and green coat, motions so smooth and enchanting he seemed nothing less than ethereal. This was what greeted Sonya when her eyes blearily blinked open, too uncomfortable in the rising heat and too distracted by the unusual commotion for her to fall back asleep.
  
  Curiosity roused the youngling staggered to her hooves with a drowsy yawn, soon weaving through the various Waelak that stood between her and whatever had disrupted her ever so pleasant dreams. Coming to a stop just as the male gave a sharp buck, sending ivory spring flowers cascading down upon him and the female he danced for, Sonya's eyes widened with dawning awe. Sure she had seen the clan dance before, but it was nothing like this. The clan might bounce and bound, twist and glide, however this stranger did more than that. It looked like the forest itself favored the male, as though nature had formed the way it had just so that he might dance for the only unimpressed female in the clan. He seemed to breeze through such complicated maneuvers as though they were easy as breathing, never on the ground long before he was in the air again, and never letting more than a single hoof touch the grass at a time. He tossed, and bobbed, and weaved, and spun, gathering the dappled sunshine around himself in a beautiful mantle- catching and taming the light with the pieces of glass hanging from his plentiful tines, while his own luminescent glow caused a fleeting trail to follow him, illuminating the trail he blazed.
  
  It was a breathtaking spectacle, even for a Waelak, and even more so for a impressionable young pup. Sonya wanted to dance like that. She wanted to have that grace and weave the moonbeams around her like he did the sun, and have her words, wish and will conveyed without ever speaking a thing, but with a seemingly carefree toss of her head. He was elegant, graceful, beautiful and stunning- and she wanted that. She wanted to be like this newcomer whom held the clan so entranced. Whom had agility, cunning, and poise in plentiful spades. Even as the female he sought so easily scorned him, ignoring his tribute with twitching ears, Sonya found someone to idolize. When she grew up, she was going to be like that. On the other hand... Why wait?
  .
• Hijinks; The Ivory Treasure
  - It's been a full lunar cycle since Sonya's not-quite mentor left, the elder Waelak rather amused by his glowing shadow. A month since he left, and in that time the blue pup was predictably off. Curled up in a ball for the entire day, nosing at her tail and twisting away from anyone who attempted to move her. Picking her up by the scruff also proved fruitless, drawing a previously rare ire and she would simply curl up again wherever she was placed, seeming to spit into her tail as she glowered up at whoever interrupted her sulking. Around dusk she would dart off quick as a whip, hiding from the clan for a minute or two, before coming back to play with the other pups and dance her heart out in the cool night air as though nothing was wrong. Her mother was bemused, knowing the reason for her daughter's actions, and that helped settle the concerns of the other Waelaks. Except, of course, for the curious pups wondering what was wrong with their friend.
  
  Which was why this time, when Sonya slipped off to hide the gift her not-quite mentor had given her to make the parting easier, one of the pups slunk after her, diming his luminescent markings to avoid being noticed. Unable to hang the white cat's eye marble from the slow growing stubs on her head as her elders did with their antlers, and without a wish for it to accidently roll off or for her to lose it, period, Sonya had sought out a cluster of rocks to nestle her precious treasure in while she was otherwise occupied. Gently placing a few grey rocks overtop of the man-made glass, to prevent birds from making off with the reflective sphere, it was with only a cursory glance around that she darted off to join the other pups. Which left her silent stalker free to investigate what she left behind. Stones pushed aside with far less care than they'd been placed, long ears pricked as the pup investigated, he plucked up the orb without a care for how his teeth scratched it's previously flawless surface.
  
  Trotting back to the clan and, more importantly, his group of friends, soon there were three pups batting the small ball between them through the long grass. Catching sight of their actions out of the corner of her eye, Sonya was quick to investigate, and even quicker to snap at them with 'laughter' that certainly wasn't amused. Marble kicked at some point in their scuffle, it would take the blue pup nearly two hours to locate her precious treasure, and much, much longer for her to forgive the trio.

• Hijinks; The Grape Adventure
  - Never let it be said that Sonya didn't learn from her mistakes, her new necklace the most recent proof. She wouldn't be losing her treasure, wouldn't dare risk it, and she was still quite sour with the other pups. In an attempt to brighten her daughter's mood, Sonya's mother had decided to show the pup to the clan's most coveted secret. A grove of trees where grape vines ran rampant, curling up the trunks and sprawling out over the branches, slowly spreading from tree to tree for who knew just how many years. All any in the clan could say, was that any Waelaks who knew had long since passed, and that was quite a long time indeed.
  
  It was with distinct amusement that the elder Waelak watched her daughter tentatively sniff at the small fruits, carefully taking a single grape into her mouth before glancing at her mother for reassurance. Finding it, the pup swiftly bit down without any more hesitation and paused with a quite comical expression of bewildered delight. Tongue flicking out to lap at the juice around her mouth, Sonya took to the fruits with great gusto, darting through the thick foliage to chomp down on several at a time. Many more than she could actually consume in one bite, at least, staining her fur with purple and magenta smears before turning to claim those that she missed on the first go round. Through it all, her mother watched on while daintily nibbling at her own chosen cluster.
  
  When the pup's fervor finally died down, the overly stuffed canine came to plop down at a her mother's hooves with a soft sound of distress. Her stomach hurt like the dickens from all she'd eaten, and none could quite say her fur was blue anymore, stained as it was. With fond amusement the elder Waelak settled on the ground by her beloved child, and began to lick the youngling clean. To tired to protest, only doing so when a bit too much pressure was applied to her sore stomach, the little one drifted off to sleep in a much better mood than before.
