Guardian Foxes are a species of canine closely related to Fennec Foxes. Fully grown, they tend to be about the size of an adult German Shepherd or Great Dane. Humans often keep these canines as companions due to their strange and mysterious powers, which include the ability to control the dreams of their owner using the mist that surrounds their eyes, paws and tail. Feathers, usually simply used to show off the Guardian's style, are frequently found on the animal's ears and tail. Their coats can contain any color or marking, their mists frequently found in any color except black. Black misted Guardians must have experienced something negative during their lifetime for their mist to be black, and frequently give their owners nightmares instead of positive dreams.

The design got switched up a bit in the transfer, if you notice any errors you'd like corrected please let me know c:

First Touch

Image

"Eckin was much different than Ruka in a lot of ways. With Ruka, I had always been very uneasy, watching each action I did carefully to make sure I was doing everything I could to keep her from lashing out at me. So when I unloaded Eckin, I acted the same way, very stiff and careful. It was a surprise, to say the least, when Eckin sprang over and began nuzzling my shoulder. She seemed much more affectionate and calm, and I instantly relaxed. It may have helped that she was a tad smaller than Ruka, but mostly I was just in awe watching her slow gentle movements. She kept her ears pricked, listening to every word I said as if her whole world depended on the meaning of them. I was in love with my new girl, that much was obvious, but more than anything I was excited to see how this foreign behavior would play out when I began our training together."

ShadyBro @ Wed Jun 17, 2015 2:45 am

First Saddle

Image

"I didnt waste much time getting Ecky set up with a new saddle. I slaved over my work bench all night the day I got her, and was pretty happy with my handy work. Despite the lack of sleep I was bubbling over with excitement. If she liked the saddle, or at least didnt freak out on me for it, that means I would have a much more willing model for my new line of Nervanti leather work. I dragged the saddle out to her stall, two away from Ruka as she was still a little unhappy about the newcomer, and led Eckin out to be tied. She sniffed the gear all over and seemed a little cautious about it, but not in a way that would make me think she was scared of it. I lifted it onto her back and started adjusting the straps into the right places, letting her settle before clipping, tying, and tightening everything together. I stepped back and watched as she wiggled a little bit, shifting her weight and nosing different parts and pieces, before she started bowing and wagging her butt like a dog. I laughed and clapped my hands, praising her with a handful of delicious treats and nuzzling her neck. I figured I would give her a day or two to settle in before the next step, if I could bare to wait that long."

FSD #1~ adopt me! based on this drawing by mackstarr
by mackstarr @ Tue Jun 23, 2015 6:06 am [Reply]

The flagstaff dog is a shy, elusive creature that lives in northern forests. They are small, usually only a little bigger than a domestic housecat. They live in groups of up to 5 members, but tend to avoid interaction with other flagstaffs they are unfamiliar with. The plumes on their tails are always white so that they can blend into their snowy surroundings. When threatened, flagstaffs burrow into the snow so that only their tails are visible.

This is the first flagstaff ever! ;u; Who wants to adopt them?
The extra on this is optional, but it would really help. It doesn't have to be art though, it can be anything!

A Cleud is a wolf that has some cloud fur around its neck, which makes it unique. Stars are also stuck to the fur of Cleuds, and cannot fall off unless pulled with force. Cleuds get extremely sensitive when anything attempts to shift their stars so don't get too close! The stars also glow brightly in the dark, which is useful sometimes. They come in different colours, any you could imagine! They make good companions, although at first they may be distrusting and timid. Their young are called pups, and usually come in litters of two - one is unusual. Their eye colour always match their stars in their cloud fluff.

Zodiac themed Cleuds!

They all have a different color and edits.
Also they will be an impress me contest.

For them I want you to write, why you want the Cleuds (not only because it is your sign)
AND I want to to write a little story, why you are proud of you zodiac sign.

I'll give an example:

I am Aries. When I was young, I never liked my zodiac very much, because I allways got that sheep in my mind. I'm not so comfortable with sheeps...
But now I realized, that my character is really just like an Aries. I got a huge temperament and I am moody.

But I am also very generous and very enthusiastic! Even a little piece of chocolate can make my day. I am so happy with the little things, that my boyfriend allways say, that I am cute. (I'm NOT, okay?! xD)

Well so I think aries is really the perfect sign for me. Because I have allways the power to get foreward, even if I have to run through a wall for it!

Well now it is your turn! Tell me why you like your sign!

Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.

Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Variety: Normal Tail, Normal variety two / Custom facial markings. Will grow to have relaxed ears.

Guardian Foxes are about the size of a full grown German Shepherd dog.
They have ears similar to those of a Fennec Fox, a species which
they are closely related to. They are given feathers, which are attached
to their tails, when they are born. Full grown Guardians typically have a
feather behind one or both of their ears. They are also born with a mist
surrounding their eyes, paws, and tails. This mist is used to capture a human's
dreams or nightmares.
Their soft coats can be any color or pattern. Pastel colors are most common,
they are often dual toned or even chimeric.

This little beauty is based off of a glasswing butterfly, so to win them I want to see one extra that is butterfly themed! (Bonus points if you use glasswings butterflies, but feel free to use other species as well.)

tiny tail/extended dipped facial marking

this was based off a long-haired chihuahua, specifically a chocolate tan and white one. it's quite simple but i like it. also, the tan marking on its chest makes a heart shape when looking from the front.

Bransonx

Early morning on a warm and breezy Sunday birds singing their usual tune Simple was out sunbathing on a hill. Tall, light, and wavy pony grassing dancing in the breeze tickling Simple when it brushed against his dark pink nose. A quick and sudden sneeze sent Simple barreling out of lucid state. Sitting up slowly and yawning his paws stretching out in a cat-like motion flattening the grass beneath them. Lazily raising up to a standing position Simple let his still sleepy vision focus in on the scenic view. His ear twitching as the warm summer breeze swirled in it. A comforting blanket of sun wrapping around him gently. A rustle in the grass went unnoticed by his ears as a dark patchy figure weaved through the grass. In a sudden burst another slightly larger todd sprang out of the sea of grass and tackled him. Shocked out of his calm state he flattened his ears ready to defend himself only to be greeted by the familiar face of his friend, Branson. The blue merle todd quick stepped off of his friend and allowed him to his feet. Simple standing just a few inches shorter than Branson snorted into his to express his displeasure with the surprise. The stumpy tailed fox then turned and returned to his sitting position viewing the ever moving field below. Branson carefully took a set beside his companion. An eerie silence stood between the two for a moment. "So, Simple, what are your plans today?!" Branson questioned his quiet friend. "Well it was to just spend my day sleeping here but it seems to have already made plans for us.." Simple said sounding rather irked. Swishing his tail through the grass for a moment thinking about how he should respond "Well, yes, but you don't have to come!" Branson said quickly "I had made sure the river was empty today and thought maybe you'd be interested in going for a quick swim..?" He added nervously. Clearly pondering the thought Simple looked over at him "Why? Scared to go alone?" he said with a chuckle "Oh of course, I am always up for a swim." he said slowly raising to his feet. "Well.. its not that I don't mind swimming alone its the fact that your always alone, it worries me my friend." Branson said standing in unison. "I enjoy my alone time and you are fully aware of that." Simple said through his teeth. "Yes well alone time shouldn't outweigh time spent with friends." Branson said wisely. "I suppose you're right my friend." Simple said with a nod as he looked over at his brotherly friend.

Arriving at the river they both quickly took in the scenery. Large oak trees clinging to the sandy bank, branches shadowing the lower half of the slow moving river. Dragonflies accompanied by Damselflies dancing on and off the water, water skippers darting in undecipherable pattern in the shallows. The falling white blossoms of the trees gripping the upper bank sailed down the river like couples going for an evening boat ride in France. Simple edging his way to the water slid his foot in, to his surprise it wasn't nearly as cold as he had excepted. Branson on the other hand wasted no time checking the temperature of the flowing river and quickly made his way in. Simple let a sigh at the sight of his impatient friend and he to dove in not taking his time to get used to the change in temperature. "Oh my this is chilly, not as bad as I thought but still.." Simple said his jaws clattering slightly as he spoke. "Oh come on, its not that bad! And plus we have the whole river to ourselves!" Branson said trying to shine light on the positive side. "You're right again my friend, there could be rowdy youth here." Simple said giving his friend credit. Branson quickly dunked his head under the water and swam down river to where the water pooled and made it easier to float. Picking his now drenched head out of the water and shaking his spotted head he relaxed and rested it gently on top of the water. "Isn't this lovely? Peaceful?" He said in a breathy manner. "Oh yes, very much so." Simple said as he gave slow and rhymed kicks against the water putting little effort into swimming up stream, simply keeping himself in place. The cool waves of the river lapping over their fur washing away the stress of winter. Muscles loosened and relaxed letting the almost zero gravity effect the water had take control. Listening to the distant water rippling down over the rocks of the small waterfall. The sound of the water breaking and trees swaying was soon broken by the sound of trampling paws in the woods rocks tumbled down from the oncoming train of destruction. The two mature todds quickly picked up their heads in time to see a pack of young todds and vixens spring out of the mellow forest and plunge into the water. Shaken by the commotion the two todds who were twice the size of the juveniles paddled their way to the bank. Emerging from the water the shook their wet pelts and looked behind them both giving loud growls of disapproval. The sounds quieted the commotion for a second grabbing the attention of the youngins. Turning and marching off back towards the field Branson looked over at Simple just to Simple already looking at him "That wasn't relaxing." Simple said in a smart-alec like way. "Now, I didn't know they'd end up showing up." Branson sighed clearly disappointed in the sudden end to their swim. "Thanks for asking me to join you Branson, it was fun." Simple said in an act of gratitude. Branson returned a thankful in the form of a nod.

She lives with her grandma in apartment B12. Emily happens to live right on the Edge, where Acorn loves to explore. One day, Acorn and his fox friends were playing around the Edge and Acorn got pushed over. He was frozen with fear, but managed to put one paw in front of the other. He started walking, not knowing where he was going. Emily was riding her skateboard and passed Acorn. She watched him go all throughout the city and eventually, get lost. She slowly approached the little brown fox and pet him on the head. Once she gained his trust, she slowly picked him up and brought him back to the Edge. The next day, Acorn stood at the Edge, hoping to catch a glimpse of Emily. Emily, was doing the same thing. Emily saw Acorn first and watched him from a distance. She watched all the other foxes pick on him and push him past the Edge and they wouldn't let him back into the park. He tucked his tail in and hung his head as he walked away. Emily saw this and ran to his side. She picked him up and carried him back to her apartment. She gave him a bath and pampered him. Now, Emily is 18. Her and Acorn live together in a condo on the outskirts of NYC.

    ah thank you ^^

what a beauty. such a great Tolter to have for my final.

name: What A Catch // Donnie

gender: gelding (he's my last tolter, I won't be breeding him)

and eventual halter color: how about a suprise, including his eye color and perhaps blue? Yoir halter designs are beautiful.

thank you, I'll start right away.

TheToyMaker @ Sun Jun 21, 2015 8:10 am

I had driven to the auction on a whim, trying to convince both myself and my wallet that I was only going to look, only going to find inspiration for another painting or two. I had everything I wanted in my two pretty mares back at home; I found all the pleasure and inspiration I needed in their soft, pastel coats and beautiful eyes. Thunder boomed far above my beaten truck, small trailer in tow. I could barely see the dimly illuminated asphalt ahead of me through the flurry of windshield wipers and water that clogged my sight. No sign of lightning, but the sky was dark and the thunder was like a mighty beast roaring in the skies as waves of rain poured down. Though the land all around looked like it had been flooded, I knew the auction wasn't cancelled. It was one of the biggest ones in all of Wales; and held inside a massive, very sturdy barn that had weathered much worse than this afternoon shower. Besides, no way the owners of that farm could afford to cancel it.

Barely spotting the farm's big entrance, I hauled right on the wheel and just barely managed to squeal into the parking lot. I managed to find a cramped space and slid into it before someone else did. With all the crappy drivers that somehow hadn't died in an accident yet, parking in crowded events like this was an utter pain. Nobody seemed to pay attention to the rules up here.

I took a deep breath before flying out of my truck and through one of the many entrances, though somehow I was soaked the the bone already. It was warm and a bit damp inside, scents from all over the place wafting in as vendors sat out for hours hoping someone would get hungry and spend something on their overpriced delicacies. There weren't an insane number of horses, probably about 80, all held in their own stalls, safe and dry from the rain. The auction had already started and I hurried to a seat near the edge of the ring, watching as one horse left and the next one trotted in. Voices and colors blurred as I eagerly sat and watched beautiful steeds toss their manes, muscles rippling under a glossy coat. Each one was just as prized as the next, beautiful conformation and bloodlines. Most were Icelandic Tolts, with a few others mixed in. The prices were high and the bidders were getting competitive. Some horses didn't get a single bid; they would later be for sale back at their stalls, the price lowered in hopes of catching someone's eye. A nice bay stallion caught my eye, deep blue eyes surveying the crowd as he sashayed in. He went for a high price. A pretty roan mare trotted in, with a perfect, floaty gait. I almost felt compelled to bid on her.

The auction was nearing a close, and I decided to go before it got too crowded as everyone left. I clambered out of my seat and away from the ring, passing the stalls of horses who hadn't sold. A stunning, jet black gelding with a horrid temperament snapped at me, and a palomino stallion with a missing eye sweetly rubbed against my shoulder.

One stall held a perlino gelding, a color I didn't see often. He was snorting as he threw himself around in his stall, damaging the stall but not loud enough to cause any attention. I called to a groom, who let the gelding into his attached paddock. It had stopped storming, but the ground was wet; the gelding kicked up clods of mud as he galloped around, turning his beautiful coat into a mess. He was well muscled though, with impeccable conformation. I asked the groom why he hadn't been bought- the man explained that he had been there for three years. They had first seen he was rather wild, and gelded him; but it did nothing. They had tried everything, from force to taking it slow and gentle, even sending him to other trainers. Still, it did nothing. The gelding refused to be tame.

I immediately fell in love with the gelding's story. His price was affordable, and his beautiful coat and eyes drew me in. A few minutes later, I was backing my trailer up against the paddock so they could load him from there, as he wouldn't tolerate a halter. With a bit of coaxing and grain he snorted and leapt into my one-horse trailer, and the groom shut the door behind him. Instead of panicking like I thought he would, he stood there, silent.

So I drove home, doing my best not to hit any potholes and jostle the gelding. The rain had stopped and though everything was soaked, the sky was relatively clear. When I pulled up my driveway I positioned the trailer so the I could release him right into my smaller paddock, which wasn't as torn up as my girls' bigger one. I swung open the gate and opened the back of the trailer, quickly leaping out of the way. The gelding took a moment to back out before turning on a dime and flying away, covering me in sludge. He roared around the pasture, mane and tail moving wildly as he bunched his muscles and gave a few great leaps into the air. He reminded me of a stallion I had owned long ago; his name was Donnie. He was a fiery boy, but I had an inseperable bond with him. When he passed away I was heartbroken, but knew I'd find another. I decided to call my new gelding Donnie. It fit perfectly.

Still smiling, I shut the gate and parked the trailer in its correct spot. As I trudged up to my front door, I noticed my father sitting in a rocking chair on the porch, beer in hand. My parents had come to visit for the week. As I walked up to him, he turned and grinned at me. "What a catch," he said before turning back to watch Donnie race around, coat gleaming in the new sunlight.

    And what a catch indeed.

TheToyMaker @ Tue Jun 23, 2015 3:49 am

It had been three days since I brought Donnie home. He appeared to be settling in nicely, inspecting all corners of his enclosure, and whinnying constantly to my mares in the other pasture. He was very active, always trotting or cantering around and arching his neck and tossing his mane as he encountered new scents. I couldn't help but marvel at his stunning gaits; his walk was smooth and gentle, his trot so light and floaty it looked like he was on a cloud. His canter looked so rocking that I'm sure I could fall asleep on his back -even his wild gallop impressed me as I watched his muddy coat ripple over his muscles.

Speaking of his muddy coat, I swear all that stallion had done was roll around in any water he found. Donnie seemed to love it; he'd already knocked over or tried to fit himself into the trough quite a few times. The second day I had tied my girls outside the barn where Donnie could see them and hosed the mud off them, and he stood with his chest pressed against the fence the whole time, watching my every move. My mares hadn't been too agressive on sight of him, he'd give a shrill whistle to capture their attention but Embarr would just pin her ears back and herd Rhea away. Rhea (she's blind) knew there was a new horse, but as she couldn't see him, she just ignored his calls.

The fourth day Donnie was here, I had an idea. After about an hour I had managed to attach a few hoses together, so the final length could reach Donnie's pasture. He had stood at the fence and eagerly watched me struggle, but as soon as I came close, he rocketed off. Typical. The past couple of days I had been trying to get close to him, but as soon as I reach out, he turns on a dime and gallops off. You can see the smirk in his eye; he's toying with me.

Twenty feet away, Donnie had stopped and turned to face me as I fiddled with the hose nozzle. He had no idea what was about to hit him. Plastering an innocent expression on my face, I aimed at his hooves and turned the hose on. The instant the chilly liquid hit his lower legs, Donnie flipped out, contorting his body in all sorts of ways. He stopped again a few feet away, realizing that the hose was a water-thing. Having had enough entertainment from his initial reaction, I turned the hose onto a gentler spray. Donnie curiously stepped forward, sticking his muzzle into the spray before leaping away. Once he realized the hose couldn't reach any further, he tested it again, with the same reaction. He kept doing it over and over again, before suddenly he just rocked back on his hindquarters and lauched himself through it. I nearly fell to the ground laughing as he stood in shock at the other side, eyes wide and coat soaked. Then, suprising me, he continued to leap through the water, tossing his mane and stomping on the ground. Donnie was clearly having a great time testing the different hose sprays, running through them and even trying to drink one. I could tell this was going to be his new favorite pastime.

When I finally dragged the hose back and put it away, Donnie had already rolled in the mud, turning his coat into the sludge monster it was before. So much for cleaning him off. But even though I was frustrated with his muddy appearance, he looked so content, grazing happily in the far corner.

Later that day, the sky had darkened and it had begun to pour. My girls were in the barn, but Donnie was out as he had a sturdy, weatherproof shelter in his pasture. I looked out the kitchen window to see none other than my new gelding kicking mud everywhere as he raced around his enclosure in the pouring rain, calling to the thunder itself and racing the faint lightning far in the distance.

    Yes, he'd adjusted just fine.

To enter to win this Guardian, you must mark the main thread.

Yeeesss I love theme new lines.

ah he's gorgeous! a perfect gift to come back to after my weekend vacation.

It's a stallion, with the name of 'A Tale of Two Brothers // Winchester'
based off Supernatural <3
I'll get back to you on the halter
'

zippo. @ Mon Jun 22, 2015 12:14 pm

♥ 1. First encounter

- Winchester was a brash and dangerous stallion, notorious for being uncontrollable and always getting into trouble. He doesn't trust others easily, but flirts shamelessly.

♥ 2. Adjusting to the new home

- Easily slides in with the 'problems' of Safe Haven such as the Trio and the Bad Bloods. He has problems with Allister and the other co-leaders, and finds himself attracted to Sarafina.

♥ 3. Introduction of the halter

- Immediately disapproves, he chews through countless halters before finally finding one he liked enough to keep on. That, or he gave up after the persistence of the Owner.

- design: black leather with a pentagram in dark red, on either side of the pentagram there is white angel wings {if possible}

♥ 4. Meeting a friend

- Sarafina! the two don't quite hit it off well, Sara was hesitant to trust the new 'bad boy' in town. She followed and bossed him around, occasionally falling for his charm and getting into trouble with him.

♥ 5. Gaining your horse's trust

- It's easy to win over Winchester if you offer him sweets and apples.

♥ 6. First time with saddle

- Immediately finds away for it to fall off, after multiple tries and multiple injuries, it's put on while he's distracted by Sarafina.

♥ 7. Ground work

- no idea what to do for this one

♥ 8. First ride

- It went surprisingly well for Winchesters bad reputation. Once he was used to the gear and the Owner, he followed commands relatively well. However, he still disobeyed whenever he had the urge to go down a different path or run the person into a tree for a laugh.

♥ 9.-Free spot

- Either something about Sarafina x Winchester,
or about Winchesters backstory.
