Orientation: Asexual Theme song: Nexus - Vestige Sick of it - Skillet Personality: Chase is ruthless, he shows no mercy to those he chooses to be his victims. He has a slick tongue and a charming personality in which he uses to manipulate those he needs into his following. He sees himself as a god, someone above everyone else. He belongs on the throne, ruling over man and tolter alike. The root of his evil his jealousy; jealousy of the roses. Where they succeeded he failed, and because of that he's turned into the man he is today. His thirst for power drove him into the brink of insanity, and instead of stepping back he dived in. As a foal he wasn't like this, it was before his corruption. He was playful and a little mischievous, always sneaking off to explore the land around his herd. Well, greed is a powerful thing. It turned the sweetest child into something unrecognizable, even to Chase's own mother. Story of the Roses: The Roses was the herd Chase was born into, a wild yet strong herd that had been together for centuries. He was the first born son to the leader, Daemon. Being the first born son meant he would be the heir to the throne, however when he came of age Daemon said no. He saw an evil in chase, something he couldn't control. Instead, his father chose his step sibling by the name of Brooklyn. In return she chose her second in command to be Madison, her full blooded sister. Chase fled, leaving to join a gang of rogues. When he arrived back to the herd three years later, Brooklyn still ruled. Now with two other right hands, Drake and Destiny. This infuriated him, he expected her to have been kicked from the throne that was rightfully his. When he found his growing herd of rogues, he told them of his history. How he could take the all powerful herd back, and make them rule by his side. Them being young and dumb stallions, eagerly accepted his challenge without knowing how far he would go. They ambushed the Roses in the cover of night. When day broke through the darkness, his father and mother were dead. Brooklyn and the others had run off. The remaining herd was weak, he easily took them over and banished the rogues that had helped him. He had gotten what he wanted but now he needed more, now he needed to terrorize the life of his sister. human form: As he is based of a character I've had sense 2009, this was already developed. name - Chase Likita Semira age - 24 appearance - his shoulders aren't broad, and he doesn't have a muscular build, he would be described as tall, and average. Despite his physical lacking, he's very fast, strong, and agile, considering the demon that runs in his veins, he uses his powers to his advantage. His black hair is long, reaching to the bottom of his neck, styled to cover his right eye. Under his hair an eye patch hides. His right eye, under the eye patch is brown, his left a dark shade of red. His skin is pale, almost like a ghost, as he spends all his time in the darkness. As of his immortal form, bat-like wings spread from his back. His strongest aspect are these these tentacle-like arms that sprout from the ground with his command and his ability to turn the shadows into creatures to attack at his command. His only weakness being light, more specifically angels, and his undying thirst for revenge and power. |

He is loyal and chivalrous but around a certain time of the year, namely Halloween, is when Nightshade literally becomes a demon. It’s the fall before the climb A Story: The clock struck midnight. The dark stallion calmly let himself out of the barn. Nightshade delicately pranced through the forest until he was in the town. Every Halloween he would patrol the streets. Scaring the kids back into their beds, for he was the real nightmare. The wind rustled the leaves in his wake, as if they were uncomfortable in his shadowy presence. His hooves chimed on the silent night. The autumn moon illuminated his silvery white mane. It flew in the wind, wildly. He shook his white mane and it glinted in the moonlight. He then took off at a tolt. Exaggerated and proud, this was when Nightshade felt most alive. This was his domain, his time to shine. He stopped abruptly and let a ringing neigh, one that froze fear in so many hearts. Nobody knew who this demon was or what he was. Not even his owner. He was known as The Nightmare. He'd never been seen or caught on video. Nobody dared look. He pawed at the ground and dropped his head. He lipped up some sweets. He reared and let out an ear piercing shriek. He fed on the fear of the towns people as they quaked in their beds. Then he took off once more. Nightshade ran through a garden, he ripped up everything: The fence, the grass, the plants and the statues. Even the usually annoying dogs were too scared to bark. He then proceeded to kick in the doors. The stallion ploughed through the next fence for this one he dug holes everywhere and smashed all the garden gnomes. He found some red paint and kicked it into the window leaving a crimson splash running down the windows. He snorted, satisfied with his work. A few more houses late of destruction, he moved onto the town hall. Whooo, he had a good one for this! The shadow broke down the doors and then he ran in. Nightshade ravaged the inside, he brought down displays, broke special trophies, hid medals. He ripped down photos and artwork by the primary school children. He trod the red paint, which was still on her back hooves, all over the place. The stallion, after a violent outbreak of smashing a stage, then went to the toilets. He twisted all the taps on with his mouth. Then he calmly trotted out. The sun started to break through the darkness. The moon started to sink. He set off at a canter. Nightshade skidded in the stable yard, he made sure to wash the paint off of himself in a nearby pond, he let herself back in his stable and laid down as if he had been there all along... The stallion opened his eyes. The sun had almost finished it's daily descent. Pleasure shone in Nightshade's eyes. Finally. He sighed peacefully. Most of the other horses had gone to sleep and the rest were just drifting off. A few restless shuffles in the straw could be heard and then sighs as the others' breathing settled into a steady pace. It was a full moon tonight, this was a special night for him. He was born under a full honey moon. His first memories were looking at the golden light pierce the darkness and feeling transfixed. Nightshade sighed happily at the memory. The skeletal stallion popped his unusually marked head over the door, all was calm. The horses were long gone into a deep sleep. He fiddled with his bolt quietly and slid it open. Nightshade gently pushed the door back, careful not to wake the others. The silver black horse slowly crept out of the barn. His sensitive ears swivelled trying to detect any sound. Nothing. A satisfied grin rose to the skeletal lips. He reached the barn door and slid it open slowly. The owner didn't lock the barn doors because the lead horses could sort out any imposters in a second. Nightshade was thankful. The crisp night air hit him. It wasn't too cold. A gentle warm-ish breeze ruffled his silver mane as it glinted under the moon. He slid the door close. He took a quick intake of breath as the gentle wind engulfed him. He closed his eyes and reflected on some things. Then Nightshade exhaled and his eyes flew open. He headed through to the forest in a collected canter, following the delicate silver path delivered by the moon, he came to a clearing and raised his head looking at the big full moon. It lit his eyes with an eerie and mysterious glint. He sighed as the moonlight enchanted his coat and lit up his unusual markings. Thousands of tiny bullets lit up the sky. The stars topped off this beautiful night. He lowered his head and lapped up water from a silvery stream. It was cool and refreshing. The icy water rejuvenated him and completed that beautiful night under the stars. A Poem: Wind rustles around the dark street Vicious Blue orbs light up, a rare feat Halloween is upon the night Children, asleep, afraid of the fright. They fright you may ask? A silvery demon makes it his task Dominating the hallowed town The nightmare, shrouded in his deathly gown The wind rushes past the dark figure He throws his head to the moon, his trigger of making his appearance on Halloween night A Halloween trick, one with bite. History: Nightshade was born under a rare honey moon (see here) while his mother was turned out one night. Her owners knew she was pregnant but not the stallion. They suspected 'The Nightmare' a dark stallion thought to be only of myths. Her owners were very superstitious and it was a dark foggy night when she was suspected to be covered. Only time would tell for the sire. When Nightshade was born under that moon, that confirmed it to the owners. All of the Nightmare's progeny were born under a full moon but his heirs were born under special moons. All of his heirs were to take Night in their title somewhere. So when the owners saw the silhouette of the mare and a newborn foal under the gleaming light their hearts sank. Nightmare progeny were bad news. Bad luck. They headed out to see the foal and saw his markings, he was named Nightshade by the wife of the owner who fell in love with him instantly but she knew he had to be sold due to the bad luck that could bestow on them, the owner didn't like him full stop. The next day Nightshade was sold on. He passed many different owners until he had had enough. He escaped on foggy night and wandered through the forests until he came to the city. The city that never slept. Nobody dared try to capture the Nightmare horse. Nightshade had a built up rage and hate and would snap at any moment. His ears were flat back and his face tight, nobody came near. He wandered on until he came to a huge barn and decided this would be his residence. The barn was The Twilight Circus Equestrian Centre. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shall we sing, shall we sing, 'til the morning

Hey look, I'm not dead! Had to take a break from art and the internet in general, I had some bad wrist pain and it hurt to draw/use the mouse (my wrist still hurts, but not as bad). Also school started up again last week so I've been dealing with that. Classes seem a lot more demanding this time around, unfortunately. Oh yeah, also finally applied my new signature that I drew up a while ago. My old one broke for some reason, so I just took it as an opportunity to finish this one. Now you guys can all experience a dating sim w/ my pallio, haha.
You may edit in more suggestions later, but PM me/post here if you do. I'd prefer if you edited in batches, however (ex. post 3 names, then edit later w/ 3+ more. Don't post/pm if you just edit in 1 new name.) What I'm looking for in the name: - Doesn't need to have any real meaning to it, but feel free to give it one. This world is where I chuck all my sparkly colorful species, if that helps. - Not too long. Probs no longer than 15 letters or so. - When spoken, it should flow pretty nicely. It also shouldn't be too hard to pronounce or read. - I'm a fan of words w/ few syllables. 1-3 syllables is ideal, but not required. I like things short and sweet. - Names that can shorten down to a nickname. For example Solminol -> Sol - It should be fairly unique, as in when you Google it you don't get too many hits. All of the above is not required, but it'll sure help you out. And here's how the custom will work: - Winner can let me design according to their specifications. You give me some keywords or a description (may be as brief or detailed as you want), I'll design it and then send you the pic to look over/revise. Repeat until you're satisfied. --- Alternatively, I can possibly do a stream for you so we can do this real time. This depends on timezone+how busy I am, however. - You can draw up a pallio design and I'll redraw it here. Drawing doesn't need to be good or anything, just need a clear ref for design. --- You may also have a friend design one for you, just let me know first. - Feel free to add any accessories! Remember that anything that will cover the neck gills will disrupt the flow of the cape. - All capes are available to use. This includes the special tentacle and dual colored sparkle capes. - Manes and fluff are available also. No hair, however. - And you're free to pick any kind of body style. Look through previous pallios to see what you can do. - Any designs that directly resemble a copyrighted character is not allowed. Nor are any logos/symbols, etc. Edit: Whoa, since everyone is coming up with great names, I'm gonna make some RUs. To get an RU, you'd have to have a name I like, but won't use for the world. Instead, it may be used as the name for a specific location within the world, such as a region or town. RUs will be semi customs because of this. If you win an RU, you get to choose 2 things to customize: Colors, body type, cape, or markings. The other 2 things I'll be designing myself. Oh, and all rules from above apply here, so you can have this pallio have any sort of fluff, cape, etc. There's no deadline for this. Comp is over when I get a name I like. So theoretically, this can go on for a few months, but I'll try not to let that happen. In the case that a month passes by, I'll let people suggest 10 more names or something. |

Finally posting one of the designs I've been playing with. nwn I made this one today and the plume is kind of Sugar Plum based after awhile.
This plumie has a hobby of the arts, but you get to decide what it is. nwn This will end next Saturday around 9pm Mountain Time. If you guys couldn't tell, it's slightly based off a sugar plum.
