First Touch

"I walked out to the med pen to check on Eckin, as I had been every evening for the past two weeks. She was supposed to have given birth a few days ago, and I was beginning to worry. The vet told me she may take longer simply due to the stud having some mutations that could easily pass to the foal, but I couldnt help my concerns. Eckin was my darling, and I loved her dearly. I walked past Ruka's stall and she gave me a little snarl, obviously angry about having been moved out of her favorite stall. I looked over the gate and tossed her a few treats as I passed, only to be startled by a loud whooping sound from Eckin. I rushed over to see a tiny Neravontii laying at her side, still and unbreathing. I ran into the pen and picked up its head, cleaning its airway and the nostrils on its side, rubbing its heart to try and stimulate some response. A small cough rumbled in its chest, and within seconds it was attempting to stand. I sighed a breath of relief and turned to tend to Eckin, but she seemed alright despite the light wheezing. I brought out a few pales of water and washed the two down, cuddling my new foal a little more than Eckin was okay with. She snipped at me here and there but I was sure to give her plenty of attention as well. I called the vet to come out for a check up, but I would have to wait until tomorrow."

First Saddle

"Several years later, me and Dyami had grown closer than I had ever thought possible. It was finally time for me to start training him, and I couldnt wait. I dragged his specially made saddle out to his pen, right next to Eckins. He was such a mamas boy, I couldnt bare to separate them, especially when he was screaming all night long about it. Ruka was pretty fussy about having to be moved a third time but it was better than dealing with a crying foal. He chuffed at me as I entered the barn, jumping up to the gate to greet me. I pulled him out of his stall, giving his nose a good scratch, and led him out to the loading post. He stood and waited for me, eager to please as always, and even started to wiggle a bit in excitement. I pulled the tack up onto his shoulder, sliding it down his spine so he could get used to the weight. He didnt mind it a bit, and even took the bridle with ease. I praised him and led him around the ring a few times until he seemed worn out enough. It would take a while until he was strong enough to carry the saddle and a human however, so I would have to do this each day until he was ready. I led my darling back to the post to unload all the tack, and then settled him back into his stall, where he was immediately nuzzled by his proud mother who had been waiting for his return."

What is a Great Plains Equine?:
The GPE are a special breed of horse. They are large and sturdy breed, suited best for working a farm and pulling carts. They also were once used as war horses during the war between the Mountain and Forest kingdoms. GPE stand at 13-17 hands, though are most commonly ranging at around 15-16 hands. Their coats are sleek and soft, the colors and patterns are too varied to even list, though they are most commonly found with a 'paint' style coat. Their manes and tails are long and flowing, their hooves heavily feathers and nearly fully concealed. GPE's have long beards under their chins, both male and female, and have a pair of horns that sweep backwards along their necks. Their eyes range in any color of the full spectrum, and produce a glow that resembles smoke, or possibly flames. They are docile beasts, but are not easily tamed.

General Info
Chrysaora Basilisk are the prevalent equine creatures that inhabit the world Lucent. They roam by the hundreds, using their unique hooves to score the uneven rock and track down their most vital source of nourishment; evil. The relationship between Chrysaora and humans is a complex one. Chrysaora vocalize like horses, but are also thought to have a syrinx much like birds do and have been recorded displaying a variety of sharp, avian sounds. Their eyes layer over with a dark, murky black until their normal eye color pierces through in a great ball of electric light, radiating toward their victim's open eyes and paralyzing them. The Glare is able to stop both human and creature, and after a few days, unique to other forms of basilisk, the paralyzed being transforms into a sea nettle.

First Encounter

"The center was a hectic place when I finally got there. I knew I should have arrived earlier. People were running around the obstacle course of stalls and makeshift pens, trying to pull foals around in all directions at once. The noise and heat were unbearable due to the building being so full. I dont think I had ever seen it like this. I almost wanted to turn around and go home, but then I remembered why I was here. They had a foal waiting for me. I dont know how they had picked him out, but I did know that someone had to of tipped them off as to what kinda Chrys I liked, because when they told me he was a blue taffy I just about squealed. Ah, who was I kidding, I did, I squealed like a little school girl. Do you blame me though, I mean a blue taffy is my dream Chry haha. I passed pens upon pens of tiny, malnourished foals, barely able to stand and too tired to even notice the commotion that would have sent a healthy foal running. It seems it was a bigger raid than I had thought. I checked the ticket in my hand again, anxious to get over there and get out as soon as I could. His pen was in section 13 Z. Great, all the way in the back, just my luck. I made my way towards my section, but it was slow going. Lost of gates were being moved around to corral rambunctious chrys, and there was still the usual adoptions of adult chrys going on to add the the insanity. After nearly being trampled to death several times I was finally standing at the front of the gate. I slipped through and checked the hastily scribbled pen number on my ticket. Like most sections, 13 Z was set up with one long dirt path, with stone stalls on either side, black wrought iron bars on the sides to keep the chrys separated from each other. They hadnt put many of the foals all the way back here, so it was pretty easy to find the florescent pink card with my foals number printed on it. I made my way past the other trainers and adopters and finally looked into the pen. The poor thing was worse off than most of the others, shivering and curled up in the back corner. I opened his gate and his head sprung up, obviously wary of my presence. He pined his ears back and snorted as I closed the gate and latched it, trying my best to keep my eyes on him just in case. His horns were tiny, but they would still hurt if he decided to ram into me with them. I walked over to him gently, and made a soft chuffing sound under my breath. My other chrys had always seemed to respond positively to the noise, though I had never seen anyone else do it, so Im sure I earned some weird looks. It worked fairly well on the foal as well, and he flipped his ears back toward me and wiggled his nose, cocking his head to the side like a confused dog. He rolled his body a bit and propped himself up on his elbows, struggling to stand. Pulling out a small treat from my pocket I continued calling to him, and he slowly approached me. He snatched the treat, a small radish, out of my hands with lightning speed, end then began to nose my pockets for more. I was surprised at his sudden change in attitude at first, but thats just like a chry to read a humans intents that easily. I rubbed his nose and scratched under his chin, laughing and nuzzling my darling boy. We had an instant connection unlike one I had with any of my other chrys, who had taken years to gain true friendship with. Our little connection was broken suddenly however, and he jerked back and raced towards the back of his pen once again. I looked around to see what had spooked him and saw that several adult chrys had broken the gate on their conjoined stall, and were stampeding into the crowds. I figured it would only be a matter of time before the poor creatures were affected by this, but I had hoped to be here and gone by the time it happened. I turned behind me and pulled one of the steal benches in front of the gate and rushed back over to my foal, who was still cowaring in fear. He snorted at me and snapped his teeth, telling me in absolute clarity to back off. I only half listened, and sat down a few feet from him, tossing another radish in his direction. It took a while for him to calm down enough to gobble it up, but once he had he immediately began sniffing me for more. I fed him another and spoke to him until he was relaxed again, and then the loud speakers came on. 'We are currently unable to evacuate the the building. Please remain calm, and stay where you are. If at all possible, take shelter.' ...Take shelter? I though to myself. From what? And then I heard the snap of another metal bar break. I sat up and peered over the side of the stall, the cool metal of the bars on my face. Several more chry and even a few foals had broken out of their makeshift pens, the aluminum obviously not built to hold such powerful animals. People were rushing around like crazy trying to capture their own chrys, and some people had even jumped in the mix in an unsuccessful attempt to help. I looked at my foal, who had layed back down and rested his head on my lap, and sighed. We would be here a while."

Gaining Trust

"It was several hours before we could finally get home. My foal was an anxious mess, and refused to come near anyone. It was hell getting him into the trailer, even with the center finally empty and calm. I tried getting him to relax and come near me but he stayed huddled in a corner, shivering and snorting, his ears pinned back to his neck. I closed the gate and hopped into the front seat, and started up the long drive back to Neverland Stables.
We arrived home around midnight, and the wind was going crazy. It looked like another storm had come up the shores, and waves were crashing onto the side of the barn as the tide grew ever higher. Rain pelted me like bullets as I rushed to grab my foal. He ducked and dodged me at every turn, refusing to be caught. I was frustrated and annoyed with him, and ended up just jumping at him and looping the rope around his small horns. It was enough to keep his head still so I could get a lead around his neck, so I didnt even bother with a halter. He headbutted me and stomped his hooves, draining the last of his energy trying to defend himself. I half led half dragged him out towards the barn, and he whipped and kicked and struggled with everything he had as soon as his hooves touched the rushing flood water. Even once he was inside the barn he was still screeching and struggling to get away. I pulled him into the closest stable and snapped the gate shut, collapsing on the stall floor next to him. I looked over at him and chuffed weakly, but he didnt respond. I sighed and rested my head against the gate, shrugging my wet jacket off and slipping my feet out of my water logged boots. I closed my eyes for only a second, and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, I awoke to the sound of pounding hooves. I jumped up and looked to see Aquis and Luc, the most rambunctious trouble makers of the herd, running loose in the barn. I jumped up and saw my new foal snapping and scratching at the ground, backed into a corner by the two gigantic beasts. I yelled at them, trying to get their attention away from the poor foal, but they were set on defending their territory from the 'intruder'. I grabbed my crop and ran over to them, swatting at Luc's flank to get them to move. A few razor sharp teeth snapped at me as I stood between them and the foal, and Aquis even managed to grab the crop right out of my hands. I stood there, two giant beasts hovering over me threateningly, and put my palms out toward them. They were set in prey drive, and I swear you could see the overwhelming desire to kill pour out of their glowing eyes. I put my head down and looked away, reaching my palms out toward their drooling muzzles, shaking where I stood. Everything seemed to grow still and quiet as my hands rested upon the soft velvety noses of my two raging beasts. I looked back at them as they stood easy and clam, acting as if nothing had even happened. I smirked and gave them each a good pat before yapping at them to get back to their stalls. They lazily wandered back to their gates and began busily munching on leftover pieces of their last meal. I turned towards my foal, still shaking, pure fear overwhelming his body. I knelled down in front of him and tossed the lead back around his neck, reached my hand out towards him. He kept his head down and approached cautiously, his whiskers tickling my wrist as he sniffed at me. I ran a hand over his neck, combing my fingers through his muddied mane as he relaxed. Our connection was renewed as I realized he had once again felt the bond of trust between human and beast."

A bit about greys: Grey horses will be somewhat rarer than other horses, and there's a very good reason for that: greys grey out. As a grey horse ages, I will be going back regularly and continually lightening his or her color until he or she has become completely white. I don't feel like doing this to every single horse, so they won't be as common as other colors will be. If you don't like the way horses look when they grey, don't worry -- you'll rarely be in a position where they're the only ones available for adoption. Most horses will have greyed out by their teens, but some breeds and individuals will grey out much more quickly.

her name is to rise another day // hemera.
It's a greek name meaning Day, and in mythology it's the name of a primeval goddess of day.

I chose this name as seeing her, I instantly thought of sun. Of something bright, warm, welcoming, just like her. Her features are soft, her voice like velvet, it's not hard to fall under her spell as she spills her heart out to those around her. Hoping just one day someone would actually listen. Someone would actually care, but until then she'd just have to rise every day and start her process over.

Her halter is a sleek sliver, the beads out lining her face a gradient of the colors from every sunrise and sunset. A mixing of pink, orange, yellow, and red.

Her theme song, a beautiful instrumental piece done by Phillip Wesley named Racing Against the Sunset

Hemera is one for few words, but many actions. She may seem quiet, but her mind is constantly racing with ideas and thoughts about the world around her. She strives for excellence, a fierce determination dominating her passions and pushing her to accomplish every goal she has set for herself. From an outside view, all you would see from this mare is a cool, collected, and elegant aura. However those who have gotten her to break out have noticed, she's anything but. Mahtab is an extremely soft and gentle mare. Much like how moonlight is
cool and welcoming on a dark night, she is always rather stoic and
controlled while still providing security and love for those she holds dear.
Once you have earned her trust, you will have it as long as you don't

What Is a Poculum Warg?

Potion wolf

A Poculum Warg, a.k.a Warg is a mysterious creature. It's careful, shy and agile. They are omnivores and eat anything from twigs to larger hoofed animals. They usually hunt alone but can bring a mate or cubs to exchange hunt methods.
Theese wargs have a colorful chrystal as defence and also an floating orb between their horns. Sometimes a warg can be annoyed by its apperance and attach it to it's horns with strings decorated with pearls and feathers. In the orb there's a fluid which can do anything. Usually the powers's weak, but unique. Only the Warg knows what it contains.
The size of the warg can vary, but usually it's around the size of a shetland pony.
Humans can befriend a Warg with a lot of care and precaution. Theese animals are wary and easily scared since they live far away from human hands. It takes a lot of time to tame a warg, but it sure will be worth it, it's a guarantee!

And sadly I have a lot of stuff to do, I will not have the time to do theese revamps for you.

Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP tend to be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. PTP have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.

I curled up scaredly in the adondanoded house, there was a big fire, and she had no clue where her family was. There were foxes, and not guardian foxes, normal foxes, gone insane with foam dripping from her mouth. Her hather braavely defended them, but he never woke up after it bit him. My ear was dripping with blood, i had some other bites, but that was the worst. I had no clue what to do.

"Lani!" my mother's voice rang out.

The call came again and again "Lani! Where are you? Lani!" she called

"Ma-Mommy" I coughed, I never called her that, but in despair, that's what came to mind.

"Lani!" she called rushing into the burnt up house she had taken refuge in. After running from the foxes, there was a huge fire, it was the most traumatic experience ever.

"mom" I coughed trying to stand up, pain shooting through my legs

"Oh, Lani, my sweet daughter, oh, I'm so glad your alright" she said tears running down her gray singed fur, a lot of her natural color lost from all the smoke, and singed from the flames.

A few days later, they were rescued by a human, who took very good care of them, piecing the rest of their story together still.

What is a Pollux Pudding Dragon?
A Pudding poly is a dragon-like creature that has a small resemblance to a cross between an African pygmy hedgehog,a Pangolin, and a dinosaur. They have a long neck and an armor-like shell on their backs that come in a variety of sizes and colors. They're omnivores and have their own preference for foods as some prefer plants over meat and vice-versa. Pudding polies also enjoy the occasional sweet or dessert, they seem to really enjoy the taste of pudding. All poly dragons have at least one element that determines what physical traits and powers they have.
