Name Meaning; His show name represents how he lusts to win, and uses brute force to do so. Rauður means red in icelandic.

Gender; Stallion

Personality; Rauður, on the outside, is a brute of a tolter. Measuring much taller than most, he sees his height and weight as an advantage, and uses it to get his way. He’s always the center of attention, and loves it; those who would are too afraid to speak up. He’s often convincing nervous wrecks of the tolters he’s around to do dangerous and unforgiving tasks, most ending in injury. Worst of all, he does it for entertainment, and always manages to warp the truth so he doesn’t get caught. Those who dare to speak up are silenced by a malicious glare from his unsettling reddish eyes, and punished later.

Suprisingly, Rauður is not one to immediately charge a newcomer. He watches, from the sidelines, noting how the tolter moves and works. If the newcomer proves to be a threat to his reign, Rauður will not hesitate to descend upon him in a flurry of teeth and hooves, often taking his opponent by great surprise. He does not tolerate any stallion threatening his ability to control those around him, and even if they’re larger than him, he doesn’t give up.

Like his show name suggests, Rauður does not stop at large victories. In his mind, he has to win, everytime. Even if it’s a completely stupid argument, like “Who stepped on this dirt patch first,” he never gives up and will defend his often unnecessary opinion to the bitter end, every victory only adding to his ever-inflating ego.

Because Rauður is a stallion of brute force, he does not fare well against logic. If presented with a problem, his mind immediately goes to how he can solve it by using action, instead of thinking it out. If placed in a room with a door and a hidden key, he would bust through the wall instead of looking for the key as others may. He does not dwell long on things that confuse him, for fear of appearing as weak. Inside of his tough exterior shell is a sweet stallion, carved into a monster and beaten down by what society wants. He fears that if he shows any weakness, he’ll appear as disgusting, not good enough for his peers. In his mind, he’s bullied by the public eye, and in return, he bullies back.

Rauður snorted, huddled behind a rocky outcropping, chill wind throwing his mane and tail into the air. He pricked his ears and listened to the muted nickers echoing over the grass; for once, he was far from his herd. He snorted and whipped his head around, spotting a sickly-looking stallion limping up to him, his blue and white coat dull and undernourished, fresh bite marks on his shoulder. Rauður growled; not at his brother's presence, but rather his condition. He didn't speak as Blár collapsed next to him, eyes tearing up.

They stood in silence, watching the tides roll in and out, back and forth. Finally, Blár spoke, his voice hoarse. "You... promise to never leave me?" he whispered. Rauður nickered lowly. Him and his brother were so different, like chemicals not meant to be combined. While he was strong and fierce, Blár was silent and cunning. They always managed to get into fights, tearing eachother down even more. But they were brothers, and nothing could break the bond they had.
