A Sharkeeta is an uncommon mammal found in the wild in coastal and hot regions through out the world. No one knows how, but it seems that Sharkeetas have evolved from A rather uncommon subspecies of cheetah and tigershark. They spend most of their time either hunting for fish, frolicking in the shallows or prancing around in the grass. Scientists have no idea how that is possible, but they have become popular house pets. They are excellent athletes and love to go for a swim. Adopt one now!

These sharkeetas are to abandon pups. the grey one is mine ( sorry for though who wanted her ovo), but the brown one is for adopt. The items for that pup can be added by the winner , or me if they prefer.

you can win in may ways, art, songs, prettying up the form, ect. you can have as ever many extras as you want. though I need creativity because I want the sharkeeta to go to someone who put time into it, because then they might do more with it, that people who do not put time in to it. feel free to add different parts to the form. just don't remove anything please.

When Lila was born, everyone avoided her. She didn't make much noise, and would not look at all of us, only me. The birth was easy for Lila, despite her mom giving birth to twins, I didn't interfere though until the second born. Lila was the first to be born, and the second one needed help coming out, so I jumped in then. A week passes before I dare try and touch her, for mother Nera's can be very protective of their young. I'd pop in only to feed her and watch her foals, and to relatch their gate. The first-born was incredibly intelligent and could unlock anything, and I knew I had to imprint on her soon.
It was a cold winter night and I had to put on their blankets for the first time. The foals were 2 weeks old and full of trouble. Walking into the barn, I blanket the stallion first for he enjoyed my company. Walking up to Lila I put down the blanket in front of her and held out my palm. Cautiously, she sniffed it and stood still, her blank expression staring right at me. I reached up slowly and stroked her thick, purple neck. Lila, lilac... Nacht, night... Lila Nacht, Lilac Night. That's what the sky was like when she was born. She started humming low tones and allowed me to blanket her. Afterwards, she fell asleep in my lap, ears still pricked though, always listening for danger.

noreptiles_ @ Wed Jul 22, 2015 4:05 am

Two years passed, and since then, I have been lunging her everyday with her halter, but today was different. When I woke up, and got ready for the day, I grabbed the special saddle used for their first time being saddled. I kept it hidden in my house so they couldn't get to it and destroy it. Upon reaching the barn, I was immediately greeted by Lila. I've worked with her for some time now on emotion, and she shows a few of them now, happy, sad, angry, inquisitive, which is the one she has now as she sniffs the saddle. I assumed she got out of her stall again and I smiled at my intelligent girl.
"Lila, todays the day of being saddled, are you ready?" I murmur, stroking her neck soothingly.
I get a tilted head, and a shrill neigh in response so I started with her bridle, which she has worn for a while now. After that, I stroked her sides, and placed the saddle blanket onto her back and stepped back. Curiously, she turned her head and sniffed the blanket, then turned to me as if to say, that's it? Shaking my head, I carefully placed the saddle onto her back and her body tensed up and shivered. As I tightened the girth, she got even more tense, but didn't move. Her open-minded ness kept her in control, and allowed me to lung her with the saddle on. Smiling, I thanked her, and after the day was done, I gave her a nice, cool bubble batch for her good work.

~Day Five: Setbacks~

~WIP~

So now Tiger had a name and our first round of Join Up, though long, had been a success...

...

*timeskip in place, will erase once no need for WIP*

Tiger plodded along behind me as I walked over to the fence, his muzzle only centimeters from touching my left shoulder and his eyes much softer than yesterday. The dun-coloured ears of my companion were seemingly working independently of each other, his left ear constantly swiveling to take in new sounds, his right trained onto my voice. "Good boy," I murmured, my voice soft and low-pitched. "See, I'm not purest evil, am I?" The only response the gelding gave me was a slightly louder whuff of his breath, not understanding what I was saying as such, but acknowledging my attempts to communicate with him. I couldn't help but smile to myself, but made sure that my lips were sealed in order to shroud my teeth. We had made it so far in a matter of days I didn't want my predatory canines and incisors to undo it all.

As we approached the fence I began to slow my pace down. Still walking at his original speed Tiger's muzzle pressed into my back, the pressure forcing him to slow down in order to relieve himself of it. Acknowledging his response to my change of pace I whispered "well done Tiger," slowly bringing myself to a halt right next to the fence. Tiger responded much more rapidly this time, stopping before his muzzle even touched me and raising his head to its usual height. I turned so I was facing 90 degree from his face and gently reached up and rubbed forehead in praise. "Well done fella," I murmured affectionately, moving my hand towards his neck to give him a pat. The gelding was unfazed by this after our work yesterday and even seemed to enjoy it now, blinking slowly at me out of trust. My hand lowered as I turned away from him and went to pick up the halter hung over the edge of the fence. The leather straps draped over my hands as my fingers wrapped around them, holding it steady like an unsettled creature. The metal buckles of the halter gently chimed against each other with a gentle chink as the remaining straps swung lazily below.

The whole atmosphere changed. I heard Tiger snort with uncertainty and feel him backing away from me. Worried, I turned my head towards my left shoulder and looked at him out of the corner of my eye. He'd moved several paces back towards the centre of the round pen. His ears were pinned so flat back I could barely make them out, his eyes widened wildly. "Tiger?" I called softly to the male equine, to which he responded by stopping and slowing easing himself back into a slightly more casual stance. What had just happened? When I had left the halter on the fence and backed away to see how he would react, he had approached, sniffed and pressed his muzzle against it within the space of ten minutes. He didn't seem frightened of it then, so what was going on now? I looked down at the halter in confusion. If it wasn't something to do with touch or smell, that left taste (which was highly unlikely), sight or sound. I pondered over the shiny buckles of the halter. Perhaps the reflection had spooked him? Had they caught the light as I picked the halter up? I guessed it would have made sense, but surely they would have caught the light as he was walking over? Maybe, maybe not. What about sound? As stated before, I had heard the buckles clink as I picked the halter up. Had this caused him to react the way he had? I decided to put it to the test. Tiger was watching me closely from the centre of the pen. Incredibly slowly I moved the halter in my right hand behind my back, making sure to hid it from view so that the visuals would not interfere with the 'experiment' I was about to conduct. The gelding watched the leather move, ears pricked forward in curiosity. The leather shook vigorously in my hand and I moved my wrist to and fro, the metal clanging together loudly. Tiger sprung into action. His ears flew back and his eyes rolled as if he were afflicted with madness. With a loud whinny, which caused some of the heads of horses in the outdoor paddocks to turn in our direction, he half-reared and turned in the opposite direction to me. He galloped to the edge of the pen, looking for a way out. He was wild again.

I brought the halter out to my front and looked down at the tangled mass of leather. So it was the sound? Now we had a setback- how were we going to deal with this?...

23rd July 2015 10:15 AM

I inhaled the smell of the lush green grass, it smelt like home to me, like horses. My taxi driver was extremely friendly and was chatting to me the whole way there, I could barely contain my excitement.
"So what you doin' traveling here, from England?" He said kindly with a southern twang.
"I'm taking part in the Mustang Makeover, y'know at the CottonWood Horse Ranch.
" Ah yes I know where you are
Talking about."
23rd July 2015 11AM

Forty-five minutes had past and we were approaching the drive way. A big gate with the CWRH sign on the left hand side. We rolled up to the gate which we buzzed into. He dropped me off near the front building, "See you later little lass" The driver said just before he rolled his window up and drove off. Here I was; standing in front of the front building of Cottonwood Ranch, I exhaled to keep my cool, I nervously left my bags outside and walked into the building, it was cosy yet spacious, the woman at the desk noticed me within a second, "Hi, can I help you?" She asked me smiling from ear to ear,
"Hi. Yes, I'm here for the Mustang Makeover" I said walking to the front desk
"Are you the English Import?" She asked
"Yes, Talina Hunter" She nodded and turned around grabbed a bunch of file before spinning back round
"Here is all information on your horse, can I ask where you are staying? My name is Ruth if you need any help or anything don't be shy to give me a ring!" She introduced herself while handing the papers over to me. "I'm staying at Autumn Road"
I flicked through the files noticing the key information.

Wow. This is actually happening for real, it had just seems like a dream until now. Ruth told me what pen he was in and to leave my bags inside, and that she would call Charles the owner of Autumn Road. So I brought my bags inside and rushed off to see my horse. When I got to the pen I noticed that he was covered in mud, but that was to be expected off a wild horse. I sat down at the edge of the pen to let him get comfortable with me there and tried to think of a name. When I came up with it, the perfect name for him. His name shall be, Sleeping Under The Stars or he will be known as Tiff. It's unique different! It's just him. I let Charles who had just arrived, shelter and load Tiff, as I need to get to know him better.

23rd July 2015 16:07 PM

We got to Autumn Road and I must say Charles and his wife Sylvia were very welcoming, I had my own quarters, it was a cosy cottage, very moderated and up-to-date. I put my stuff in the doorway and walked out, locking the door. Then I went to help Charles and the stable hands unload Tiff, and it thankfully didn't take as long as I was expecting, and definitely not as long as it took to load him.
We let him loose into the round pen, it was a tall blue fenced there was no way he would be able to jump it which was good, I suppose, i didn't want to lose him. It was fun to watch him run around wildly. But I decided to let him settle in on his own, I was to return Tomorrow I helped one of the stable hands throw a bale of hale in the pen and fill the trough with water before leaving him to get accommodated to his new surroundings.

24th July 2015 07:38 AM

I had woken up to the horrid sound of my alarm, wondering why I had set it in the Summer Holidays, then I remembered familiarizing my self with my new room, that I was taking part in the Mustang Makeover, and that I was more than a thousand miles away from my home and family. I had got dressed and put a small amount of make-up on before having breakfast. I unpacked my stuff last night with loads of spare time so I went and got to know everyone and the horses here. I went out to see my own horse, "Talina, there you are, Tiff was very feisty last night so we moved him to the far end paddock, so he has more room to run, Hope that's okay!" One of the stablehands, Tom, said to me as I passed by him, mucking his own pony's stall.
"Thats fine, thanks for telling me Tom!" I smiled at him, he was very attractive and when he smiled back it felt like my heart did a somersault. I had to go back to the cottage to get the halter I had brought for Tiff, so I ran back and grabbed it before jogging to the far end paddock where my Wild horse was waiting for me. Before I got there I stopped jogging, as I approached the paddock Tiff stood there staring at me, his eyes were wide and ears where facing me. He nickered, and pawed the floor nervously. I didn't want to risk Tiff getting loose; so instead I climbed over the fence and sat there patiently, none of us did anything for awhile, but after about an hour Tiff was becoming more comfortable with me being on the fence. He started to display common wild features, calling for other horses galloping around the field rearing and bucking and random times.

24th July 2015 09:55 AM
By now Tiff was completely fine with me sitting on the fence so I decided to slide down off the fence so I was standing inside the paddock. At first Tiff didn't realize, he was to busy rolling in the mud, and even when he stood up he didn't notice me standing. But when he did he became more alert and started to show dominant behaviour. I stood there for about fourty-five, then I walked a bit closer to Tiff.
24th July 2015 14:04 PM
It had taken roughly four hours to get this close to Tidd, I was within a few meters, I could touch him but I wasn't going to I was going to get him used to me being in his space so I sat down.
24th July 2015 17:40 PM
Wow just wow. Tiff had laid down about two meters away from me. He must of been fully comfortable with me in there, so I laid down too. Tomorrow I shall try to touch Tiff.

What this tolter do in an apocalypse;
Death offers no mercy to those that are weak, for only the strong shall survive an apocalypse.
Death was the trusted steed of a rider by the same name, he was the only one who could get near to him without falling ill like the other horses. They shared a connection and because of that Death became nicknamed the horse from hell. He was trained as a war horse by his rider and those foolish enough to enter his presence were very quickly no threat to his rider. He was one of 4 members of an elite ruling group during the burning and for that he is feared by all.
Death was a monster and carries that quality with him even now, a part of him forever dead like his former rider.
The stallion of nightmares he would run down survivors, and ensure they never rose unless given the command by the beast that sat upon his back. Death worked by himself and was the most powerful of the four, which is why he himself was vanquished. They saw what he was becoming and no longer did they wish to follow this pair through the flames and into eternity, instead they wanted to fear the world from their terror.
Death will never forgive himself for what happened to the one who rode him.
Death's rider was killed by his company and the world was released from terror, but Death remained to see good return and evil fail, something he had made a goal of his to never let return. Death now awaits the day of the returning apocalyse and along with it his rider. For soon he will be able to reek havoc again.

by foxxbreath @ Fri Jun 19, 2015 2:10 pm Attachment(s) [Reply]

Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP tend to be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. PTP have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.

extra:

The fact that Akula was special wasn't really that much of a secret. His scales shimmered and glistened, more from a healthy glow than magic, but in the right light, he certainly seemed like some otherworldly benign creature. His eyes made sure that, even in darkness, he seemed more ethereal than mortal, and the paint trail he left swirled as though it held the secrets to life and the creation thereof within it.

The fortune-teller... he saw the potential of partnership with the smart little serpent. He could see just how easy it would be to attract the attention of the curious and wary, how it would bring them in for answers to the questions they had to the future. He was a weak medium, true, true, but it was the best skill he had, and he just needed something to... dress himself up a little. The fine suit, mixed with feathers and tumbled gems and skulls, they did the job fine, but with Akavi, he could be great, no?

Akavi hissed viciously as he reached in, backing away from those conniving fingers. He didn't want to be used, like the poor paintless yellowy boa that graced the neck of the model on the photo next to his little glass shelter. He wasn't an accessory, and he could just tell by the look in the human's eyes, that he wasn't going to be loved with him.

He flicked his tail, leaving splatters up the man's arm as he turned and hid deep within the soft bedding he'd been given by the snake dealer - who, thank everything, gently led the stranger away.

It was hardly a strange encounter; people had come from far and wide to try to win him over, so that they could profit off or otherwise use him without giving him what he wanted. And all that he desired was a place where he was cared for, treasured, and treated like he was just a normal pet. Most of all, that meant he would be loved. And all of the religious folks, the spiritual leaders, the phoneys and the fakes, the glamour idols, the objectifiers... none of them offered that.

The next kid to walk through the dealer's door was a ragged young man, with tired eyes. 'I want a buddy, he told the man, his voice distorted to Akavi's ears by the glass walls. 'Someone who's got love to give, and doesn't mind affection.' He went on to explain that he was down on his luck, kicked out by his family and abandoned by someone he'd given his heart to, and he needed a buddy to give him responsibility, to give him a reason to not hate the new days as they came along. And since he had always liked snakes, he'd stopped by.

Akavi's spirits almost soared. The young man wasn't really the first with this kind of story, but it was a rarity... and they almost always picked the cheaper ones - the paintless, perhaps, or the duller paint pythons that were up for sale for a lesser price. Akavi being as stunning as he was, he had been given a steep pricetag, one that few were willing to fork out.

Regardless, he unburied himself and shoved his body against the front wall, watching with one glowing eye as the young man started to go around, looking at the various specimens available. He took it slow, obviously looking for interest and awareness, and with each one he passed, not finding what he needed and moving along.

By the time he'd reached the wall that Akavi's shelter was embedded in, even from several feet away, he could see the hope dying in the human's eyes. The kid had had it rough; and the selection the dealer had was one of the largest and the best in the state (whatever that was; it had always gone over Akavi's head), and he hadn't stopped at any of the tanks on the other three walls.

Except... he did stop at Akavi's. And his tired eyes grew wide.

'Is this one even real?' Well. Akavi got that quite often. He wasn't surprised. He lifted his head and poked his snout at the glass, gauging his previous perception of the kid, and finding something that he liked in that astounded gaze. Something... that just...

Home was a good word for it.

Barely an hour later, Akavi had been wrapped in a warm towel and put in a box, his old pricetag - worn and faded and the numbers just barely pinched onto the little piece of paper - pulled off and thrown away.

Yeah, home covered it pretty well.

extra: One cool morning I woke up, leaping from me bed practically. I tossed the comforter and sheets into place, throwing my pillows onto my bed, not caring where they landed. Something had woken me up, and I felt it was important. I raced to my dresser as quickly (while still being quiet) as I could. Grabbing a random shirt and a random pair of pants, I dressed with lightning speed. Grabbing two socks, and slid them on, and crammed my feet into my hiking shoes. Tying them as fast as humanly possibly, and walked down the stairs, careful not to wake my parents. Sneaking into the kitchen, I grabbed a chocolate 'Cliff Bar' and headed towards the back door. I threw on my jacket, and opened the door. I made sure it shut quietly, and I sprinted to the woods, my amber colored hair splaying out behind me. I continued my sprint through the forest, ignoring the branches and vines that tugged on my loose hair. (I'm pretty sure I lost 50% of my hair...) Finally, I slowed down. A pale yellow trail of paint, or goo, or some thick substance is what I found next. Intrigued, I followed it. The sun began to rise, but most of the bushes where still shadowy. Suddenly, the bush infront of me began to glow... or eyes in the bush began to glow. One green, one purple. For some reason, I felt that this was a defense mechanism of whatever lay behind the bush. For some reason, I felt unthreatened. I parted the bushes, and there she lay. A beautiful rainbow colored snake with black patterns. I gasped at the beauty of her. I slowly picked her up, showing I meant no harm. I suppose it was just some connection, because she curled around my wrist tightly, like she wanted to stay. I smiled, and brought her home. That was about 5 years ago, and today Iris still curls around my wrist and watches everything that I do intently. We are the best of friends.

Kaika #40 based on this drawing by wingz.
by wingz. @ Tue Jan 27, 2015 9:34 am [Reply]

WHAT IS A KAIKA?
--

Averaging around three feet tall, these creatures are extremely agile. They can be found in the deepest recesses
of forests around the globe. Social creatures, they live in clans, though they keep away from the other creatures
that might wander their forest habitat. For creatures with no pupil, they have excellent vision through eyes that
glow white. Not only do their eyes glow, but so do the markings on their tails. These markings are used to help
signal others of the species alongside barking as a type of communication. They live in large family groups of up to
20 and will mate for life. These markings become brighter whenever the kaika wishes, but they don't stop glowing
until the he or she dies.

Pallio #70 based on this drawing by qwertyo
by qwertyo @ Sun Jul 12, 2015 10:48 pm [Reply]

Second of the summer designs! This one's roughly based on watermelons, the king of summer fruits.

So, this pallio has an average build. They've got a short tail and ears a lil' smaller and rounder than most. Their cape is a bubble type with sparkles.

I'm gonna just casually copy-paste edited contest info from #69:

Code: Select all
Username:
Pallio Name:
Personality: (minimum of 1 paragraph. A paragraph is 5 sentences)
Likes: (minimum of 5 things)
Dislikes: (minimum of 5 things)

Occupation: (do they have a job of sorts?)
Secret: (Is your pallio something hiding from others?)
What do other pallios/characters think of them?:
Extra: (Extras can be art, theme songs, a short story, additional info, etc.)

One type of extra only please (so you can do multiple art pieces, but not art+story)! Feel free to set up and decorate your form as you like.

Deadline is the 27th, August 7th.

Good luck everyone!

    sagittarius.
nicknames include tari, rius, and swaggittarius.

    personality
tari is a very confident and outgoing person, although this does lead to recklessness more than occasionally. his actions mostly consist of animalistic activities and rough-housing, being a professional wrestler gives him the chance to work out. he boasts often and will dive in headfirst at any given chance, even if it leads to his own injury. what he does usually acts as a shield or cover to his own feelings, as although he has the aura of someone who is certain of himself, he does things to cover up his insecurities. his blanket can be broken easily however, and he can break just as quickly.

    likes
wearing shorts, the beach, lemonade, origami, kites.

    dislikes
spicy foods, cats, the cold, shells, country music.

    hobbies
    collecting rocks, wrestling, occasionally surfing.

    occupation
professional beach hunk snake wrangler in training.
he have been working as a snake wrangler for three years now, and for the most part he is successful and quick to finish the job.

    secret
he has a snake bite on their right upper thigh from a burmese python that they received when he was a novice, it never healed properly and left various nicks in his skin. although this doesn't normally bother him in daily activities, seeing his right thigh exposed is like a trigger that can bring him back to the time he got bitten, so it has always been bandaged up underneath the shorts he wears. he changes the bandages regularly while averting his eyes to the scars.

what do other pallios think of him?

anyways he likes lemonade so dumping lemonade on him is some kudos points.. he seems to like it anyway because he's.. ten times hotter ? i dunno. overall hes my good friend and i worry about him as needed and im often very clingy to him cause all the ladies want his attention and i want it more hmpH

If you do not know the difference between sex and gender, here it is::

sex: refers to a person’s biological status and is typically categorized as male, female, or intersex
(i.e., atypical combinations of features that usually distinguish male from female).
gender: refers to the attitudes, feelings, and behaviors that a given culture associates with a
person’s biological sex. Behavior that is compatible with cultural expectations is referred to as
gender-normative; behaviors that are viewed as incompatible with these expectations
constitute gender non-conformity.

What is a Kiamara?
A kiamara is a wolf/lion-like creature. They have long, fluffy manes on the top of their heads, running down between their shoulders. They all have spots on their bodies- a trait in which will never be bred out of their DNA. They also have feathers- every Kiamara is given feathers when they reach the age of 2 years old. Their diet consists of fruit as well as meat- they prey on similar creatures that wolves would. Kiamara can be very shy before they get to know you. Can you win a Kiamara's heart?

there was no way out. blind, transgender, gay, i was the different child. paren-
ts glared at me as i passed by, shaking hands clutching the leash of a dog who
really just wanted a nap, head low and ears at attention. many people don't re-
alize that even though i'm blind, i can still hear; hear your whispering and your
laughing and your snarky comments, hear as you quickly steer your baby carri-
age in the other direction. why fear me? i'm just a useless blind guy. and that's
all that i'll ever be.

unless scientists somehow were able to cure blindness, or give me robot eyes so
i could see, nothing in my life would ever appear to me in color. all that ever
'see' is the black behind my eyes; the black of the ever-yearning void that beck-
ons to me like a beggar. blackness is all i've ever known. but i don't mind. black
is a nice color, dark and mysterious, with secrets untold that not even it's clos-
est mate would know. a color that can be gentle or rough or rock-solid, a color
with feelings, a color that is cold and bitter and alive.

depressed feelings haunted my every second; in every situation i pessimistically
predicted dreadful outcomes. no one could fix this attitude, no matter how hard
they tried. therapy was a bust, i ended up breaking a table and (apparently) some
lady's nose. they diagnosed me with who-knows-what and sent me on my way. my
parents never really seemed to care, and if i wasn't a fantastic eavesdropper, they
would have 'sent me off.' a+ parenting right there. (that was sarcasm if you didn't
get it.)

the only thing i could ever thank my parents for was letting me transition. they ba-
rely supported me, they don't support my rights, but something in them somehow
saw how much this really mattered to me. and finally, a million documents and four
hours later, it happened. march 22nd, i legally became known as male to everyone.
after that i was more comfortable with myself, but i passionately hated myself an-
yway. my parents never did anything else that truly made me happy; they simply
provided the clothes on my back and the food in my stomach. food that i barely ate
anyway (i've never had much of an appetite).

a depressing life for a depressing kid. it really suited me. but there was always a
nagging voice in the back of my head wondering why i deserved it...

why did i?

i had always thought it wouldn't get better. that there was no way out, no exit in
sight, no hand to grab and hold on to as i struggled to survive. who knew what the
future held for me? who knew what i would miss, if i would ever find happiness? i,

Name: Irati Silva

(just a note that Irati has a female rider who looks like this. :3)

Atheon @ Thu Jul 23, 2015 4:19 am

Art

At first I had no troubles at all getting Irati Silva into the horse trailer until that pesky little mare decided to pick up her hoof and aim it right towards my arm. Thankfully, it didn't hit my arm, instead Irati's hoof missed my arm. At that point I KNEW she didn't want to be in that trailer and back to the barn. I then thought to myself that it'd be worse to get her out of the horse trailer, since just about everyone knows a green horse like Irati can surely gallop off and jump around when she's not handled correctly. Haha, someone might be stunned by her beauty and not even help!

Okay... back to getting her into the horse trailer. It felt like a decade or two, but I dealt with it anyways. Irati kept throwing her head around, which I knew was a sign that she really didn't want to be in that trailer. Eventually she just gave up and very slowly walked on in the square trailer. There was a haynet, and I didn't think Irati liked it until she nommed on a piece of hay and decided to stick with it.

The ride towards home wasn't that bad, besides the amount of time. I happen to be really kind of impatient and the ride was about an hour long. It was about 2:41 PM when Irati was unloaded from the trailer. I'm going to be honest, I myself was quite afraid of that horse. I couldn't show that I was terrified of her, because she'd get really tense around me and then who knows what could happen?

So after the trailer door was open, I gently grabbed the rope of the halter hopefully not scaring the mare. I pushed her back a little, tugging on the lead rope. As soon as she did tug on the purple rope, I thought 'Nope'. She's definitely not going to like this one bit. Irati didn't bother to move, she just swung her head around, even when I tried to touch her face. Probably headshy. Poor girl wouldn't move, though she didn't appear to be in shock. Just a tad bit stubborn. Within a very long time, she decided to move one leg while I gently pushed her back. I kept pushing her lightly back, until she was completely out of the trailer.

The Golden Retriever dog at the barn was taken to the stables today, and because she loves horses, that light golden colored dog had the idea to go over to Irati and investigate the new pony here. Irati absolutely did not seem to like it, and immediately bolted without warning, pulling away from the grip of the halter. What a mess! Irati ran the opposite direction of where the Golden Retriever was, and thankfully where there was a fence which enclosed the left pasture. One of the horses in that pasture decided to freak out a bit and canter away from Irati. One of the riding instructors calmly walked over to Irati in attempt to not scare the mare, and had a tight grip on the colored lead rope.

That was kind of a disaster. Irati backed away from the trainer until she realized that there was no enemy around. Still not having it at all, with a miserable looking face, Irati was lead back near the left pasture and was put in a round pen with grass. Hopefully Irati would calm down and in a few days I think I can lead her out to the small center pasture, but I know that'll take a bit of work. All I know is to keep Irati away from any dogs!

My alarm buzzed at the time of 7:45 AM. I had planned to go to the stables at 8:30 AM, which means I had to go check up on Irati, the new Mustang mare. As much as I really wanted to sleep in five more minutes, I laid in bed for a few seconds until I had the motivation to get up and stretch. With that, I quickly got into a pair of riding clothes I bought a week and a half ago and set my helmet and leather boots near the door. I quickly brushed my teeth, brushed and put my hair into a ponytail, and fixed up a quick bowl of cereal. I had a bit of spare time so I browsed through my phone until it was 8:30, which I then put on my riding boots. I did bring muck boots with me just in case. I opened the door, got in my red colored car, and drove to the stables.

I was 2 minutes early, but that was okay since I got to go see Irati. I assume she'd been put in a stall overnight, and one of the riders informed me that she had been in the right barn to sleep. And so I walked right over there, looked for Irati, and saw her pricking her ears at me. She stared at me for a while, blinked, and kept standing there. I had brought a halter over, and since I told myself I had to train this horse, I went in the stall and put Irati's purple halter on. I obviously wasn't going to ride her today, just walk her around and try to lunge her a bit. One of the stable girls informed me that Irati had been groomed already, so I didn't have to groom the mare.

With Irati's halter on, I made sure she was okay and I led her out of the stall. Well, I tried. She wouldn't budge for a moment until I made a clicking noise and she came over to my side, following me. I had planned to meet one of my friends in one of the round pens to try and handle Irati. Irati kept stopping every few moments as I lead her around the equestrian center. I eventually ran into my friend, Carolina, who helped me train Irati. I couldn't be alone by myself, so of course I had to have a friend. We talked to kind of hopefully not freak out Irati until we got to the round pen.

I walked around the fenced in area with Irati to get her used to being walked around. After quite a few good minutes of that, I then put a bitless cavesson on Irati and attached the lunge line. I also had to get the lunge whip Carolina had on hand. I stood in the middle of the ring and held the lunge line in my left hand and directed Irati to walk to the left. A few minuted passed, and for the first time I said "Trot" to Irati, and knowing my luck, that stubborn little pony didn't bother to trot. I tried again, and thankfully she did respond. "Walk, trot, walk.." She did pretty well, only she didn't quite like to trot.

After about 40 minutes of training her, I decided to go back to the stall and put Irati back in her spot after I gave her a horse treat for doing pretty well. But before I could do that, Irati moved her head around when I tried to remove the cavesson and put the halter on her. I called over Carolina and she held the lunge line while I removed the cavesson, which was replaced by the halter. I took the rope and led Irati to an individual pasture to let her graze for a few hours. After I let her go into a pasture with no horses in it, I decided to go muck out Irati's stall.

I quickly grabbed my mucking boots from my car and put them on and headed over to the stall where Irati was. A shovel was located near the front of the barn, and so I used it to clean out the stall and what not. After that, I decided to go home to eat lunch and maybe come back to see Irati.

I returned to the stables at 3:30 PM, and after a bit of standing in the pasture, I slipped on a halter on Irati and led her over to a wash stall and tied the lead rope up to the wooden post. Irati had a few dirt spots on her coat, so I groomed her and picked out the mud and dirt from her hooves. Some time passed, and I decided to let the Mustang mare back in her stall. So I untied the rope fro the post, led Irati over to a stall, and let her enjoy the rest of her day there. I put her halter away, packed up the grooming supplies, and went back home at 4:45 PM to go read a book or two and maybe even draw until I fell asleep.
