Maya's biggest secret is that she was born mostly deaf and that she used to get so frustrated at everyone. The only way she could find peace in her mostly quiet world was through her artwork. When she entered her teen years, she received high quality hearing aid and she was finally able to hear the world for the first time. She refuses to tell others that she used to have hearing problems because she doesn't want their pity.

Maya's job is as a manga artist. She devotes a lot of her time and energy into making a manga about a young Deerssert whom has magical powers and goes on many adventures with their friends. (If i win i plan on actually making a spoof manga/comic and art of her making it ^^) Though Maya loves creating her manga, her real passion is making prosthetic make-ups. Maya spends all of her free time making unique and intricate prosthetics for various friends of hers.

As much as she likes to put on a smile and accept compliments from others, she absolutely hates how she looks. She can't change how she sees herself, no matter how hard she tries. She only sees the flaws when she looks in the mirror, and honestly can't understand what other deersserts see in her. She just doesn't get that she's beautiful - and even though she's been complimented and called such nice things throughout her whole life, the only words that stick in her brain are the negative ones.
Her passion/hobby/job : Being entirely Deaf, Simeona's passion lies within her small Deaf community. She definitely has the opinion of "say it loud, say it proud!" in regards to anything in life - and this includes being Deaf. She will literally travel miles just to meet up with her d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing friends. She has hearing friends as well, but they generally just write back and forth with her, not knowing any other way to communicate, and it's a little harder for her to communicate with them than with her Deaf friends...but she doesn't mind having to work a little harder for her hearing friends, because she knows that they'll stick with her through life's ups and downs just as much as her d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing friends will.
Her job is writing and creating art for the blind. Deaf beings don't rely upon ridiculously bright and loud colors very often in their own lives, as they rely mainly upon sight and not sound (this is why most d/Deaf beings have accessories or clothing that are monochromatic - white, grey, silver, black, etc. - or solid colors), so working with a medium where she doesn't really need to concern herself with crazy color combinations seems to work best with her medical particularities. Her specialty is braille comic books, though she's also been known to help create paintings for the blind from time to time. When she does the latter of these two options, she deals mainly with adding the appropriate textures to the canvas, and works very closely with one of her friends who is blind, but also knows how to communicate with the d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing. In her work, she meets all different types of deersserts, and she absolutely loves the social interaction and being able to constantly meet such interesting beings.
NOTE: If you weren't aware of this previously and are wondering why I did this in my form, the word "Deaf" is always capitalized when speaking of a being in the Deaf Community who prefers the majority of the following requirements: signing/non-verbal communication over English, prefers to hang out with d/Deaf and/or hard-of-hearing individuals over hearing individuals, and agrees with political views that favor d/Deaf and/or hard-of-hearing beings. Lowercase "deaf" indicates someone who doesn't prefer the majority of the requirements previously listed. To quickly show that you are including both "deaf" and "Deaf" individuals in one word, you write it in one of the two following ways: "d/Deaf" or "D/deaf." I know this myself from taking various American Sign Language courses at my local college, so if you were thinking that I was capitalizing things incorrectly or writing things oddly, now you know why I decided to do what I did in the form above.

Heru, to start off, is definitely a social butterfly that talks to everyone whether they like him or not. He tends to speak to anyone and everyone around him, no matter who or what they are. He tends to stutter a little bit, although that's never stopped this 'smooth' vaiki from attempting to talk to others, especially females. He has a tendency to attempt to flirt, although it's a rather pathetic attempt and it never really works out in the end. However he is quite the persistent Vaiki and never gives up, no matter what he does. Especially with his work, Heru is an paleontologist. He has a fascination with the past, whether it's digging into his own or into the earth he always needs to learn something new about the place he lives in. He has a very active imagination, although when he needs to be he is a very focused Vaiki. Heru tends to come up with random theories about how a plant or animal died, writing about it in his journals as if he had been there himself. He loves writing and tends to write in his spare time, usually when he isn't looking for fossils or whatever he may find in the ground.

Heru isn't one to cheat or deceive others, he's a pretty trustworthy guy compared to most. He doesn't have much of a dark side to his personality, usually being the honest and sweet Vaiki he always wanted. When he was younger he dreamed of being the prince charming and attracting all the girls and having loads of friends. He has dreams and believe that any dream can come true with a little bit of work and faith in what you need to do. Anytime he talks to someone who seems to be having a hard time seeing this he will simply walk up to and say it to them, especially children. He has a love of children and wishes that one day he'll be able to find a mate and have children one day. He even considered adopting and hopes that if he cant seem to find 'the one' for him that he can take in one who wants to be loved just as much as he does. He has high hopes for himself, and although sometimes those are shut down and are most likely to never happen again. Despite this he does his best to keep an optimistic attitude and do whatever he can to make others feel the same way.

Heru is a rather quirky guy that just wants everyone to get along. He almost never gets into fights, but he has before in attempt to protect his friends. The normally sweet and helpful vaiki can turn on you in an instant, the rage in his eyes piercing and burning into you like a thousand suns if you hurt him or his friend. Most believe he is an overgrown plushie, and for the most part he is until you harm him. Heru makes many friends by defending them, he knows what is right in his heart and never refuses to listen to it. He has a pure conscience that can't seem to be corrupted by anything, and anyone who knows Heru knows this. He is also rather charitable, or at least tries to be. Roo closes his eyes and sees himself as a child, the optimistic wishful orphan that wanted someone there for him, and he wants to help the kids that may feel that way.

In short Heru is a sweet guy until you made him angry that really loves to help children and find fossils.

Voice and Tone;
Heru has a rather soft voice but not necessarily squeaky. It's not to high not to low and it's the perfect pitch to sound friendly and not to menacing. He has a slight australian accent, but not a deep one. No one is quite sure where this came from, it is believed that his mother had this accent and spoke to him a lot when he was a baby, and as he went from each foster home he started to lose it. Herus voice is smooth opposed to rough and scratchy, and rarely ever has voice cracks.

Size and Poise;
Heru is much taller than most Vaikis, but this is really only due to the massive amounts of fur he possesses. However he also seems to be much quicker when doing things, never allowing others to get to something first. He's quick and quiet on his feet and it's hard to tell where he is at times. You almost never hear his paws hit the ground. Heru also seems to stand in a fight position, seemingly ready for a fight that won't happen.

Build;
Heru has a thick, muscular build that helps him when he needs to lift heavy rocks or other items from where he is working. He worked hard when he was younger in order to defend himself from the bullies that harmed him and his friends. He likes being stronger and he knows his own strengths, commonly pushing past it in order to make him stronger.

His fur;
If you haven't noticed, sir flyfflord has a lot of extra fur. This allows him to keep warm when he wants to travel to colder places, however it also means it needs to be taken care of more than regular fur. He is constantly in the dirt, and it tends to get dirty with, well, dirt, sweat, grime, even bugs depending where he is. He has to keep it clean and brush it through daily in order for it to remain soft like he loves it. It also causes him to overheat in certain climates, in this case he usually douses himself in water to remain cool. Heru likes the fact that it grows rather quickly, and if he manage to get a bald spot somewhere you wouldn't really be able to see it. He love the feeling of wind in his fur, absolutely adores it in every way.

His Ears;
His ears are rather large and help out in many ways. Like a fennec fox, they are able to dissipate heat and help him to cool off when he feels like he is going to over heat. They also enable a wider and longer range of hearing around him, which help when he isn't paying attention to the area around him and there's a predator around or something moving in the underground below his feet. Unfortunately, this is also the root of a lot of bullying. He was often called names with his large ears and fur, but now he's over it "Hey look at Dumbo! He had large ears but he's amazing!"

Other body adaptations;
His body has grown to adapt to the massive heat and little water that he has experienced in the desert. It was believed that his ancestors came from the desert, allowing these adaptation to be more useful to him. Evidence suggests that his native home in in the desert by the way his adaptions seem. They, like his ears, seem similar to the fennec fox whom also has these adaptations. His tail fluff also seems to be much larger than a normal Vaiki, allowing him to shield his eyes when he doesn't have his goggles with him from a sandstorm.

Diet and Allergies;
Heru seems to have taken a liking to snakes and certain bugs that live in the desert where he enjoys working. He carries a knife to make sure he can defend himself from other things, really the only thing he would refuse to eat are spiders and Scorpians. He has a fear of spiders, no matter the size, and in the desert there are some pretty big spiders. Heru isn't allergic to anything, or at least not at e moment. He doesn't really know if he's allergic to anything yet, he isn't to comfortable with trying new things.

Where he tends to work;
Heru works all around the world, however he seems to focus on the desert areas he knows fossilized animals will be. He feels more comfortable in the area, and with the help of his friends Sati and Jahi he can get his work done quickly. Sati and Jahi are also more comfortable in the desert, so it's beneficial to all three of them.

Accessories;
Goggles;
Goggles help him during dust storms when he can't get his tail to him in time or at all, whether there's something valuable sitting on it or he just didn't get to his eyes Ian time. They also help him to continue working during a storm. Heru is almost always wearing these on his head, whether they're over his eyes or just sitting on his forehead.

Shark tooth necklace;
Nobody is quite sure where Heru got this necklace, not even Heru bundled can remember. He believes he bought it a long while ago when he was a kid and has worn it ever since because it reminds him of when he was younger.

Necklace with water filled orbs;
These don't seem to be the most comfortable, however he keeps them around his neck to help in case he leaves his backpack somewhere out of reach. They're halfway filled with cold fresh water that helps if he, Sati, or Jahi are getting tired and thirsty. He looks rather odd with these huge blue circular things around his neck but he doesn't seem to mind.

Backpack;

Knife;
This is used to fight off/kill predators that may appear depending on what area he's in. It's not really of much other use than for defense, and even then Heru is quite iffy. Heru doesn't like the idea of violence towards any living creature, or just violence in general so this is basically a back up if he can't flee or talk somehing out.

Excavation tools;
These are obvious I hope, I mean what else would these be used for? I don't think i need to explain this.

Two canisters for water;
He fills these up with ice cold water before he goes out to work. They're fairly large so Sati and Jahi can have some as well if needed, or he just has an intense need to drink a lot of water.


Companions;
Sati the fennec fox;
Heru noticed Sati when she was sitting by her mother, although Sati's mother wasn't moving. Sati, being young, didn't know what was wrong and didn't leave her mothers side. Heru couldn't bear to see the little doc all alone at such a young age, and he surely didn't want to see her die. He decided to take Sati back to his home nurse her back to health and let her go when she was older. Instead Sati seems to have the idea that Heru is her mother now and never seems to leave his side. She does go off but not very often.

Jahi the burrowing owl;
Heru found little Jahi alone and dying when digging in south America. He noticed a small bite mark most likely from a snake, not poisonous but he deemed that the snake had wanted to eat him but was chased away or even attacked before getting the chance to do so. Heru decided to keep the little guy until he was able to be on his own, but at such a young age he wouldn't have known how to be a real burrowing owl so Heru decided to keep Jahi. Jahi likes to try and help with Herus digging and stuff, although he never really does much. Heru loves his little bird companion nonetheless and takes care of Sati and Jahi together.

Heru was born to a regular, middle class family that got along well together. Heru had a mother, a father, and an older sibling, however they weren't together for very long. At the age of 2 Heru lost his father to what seemed like a freak fire that happened out of random, his mother and sibling only barely managing to get out before the burning door behind them collapsed. Not even two months later Herus sibling left the home for a little bit and never returned. Nobody is quite sure what had happened, or if Herus sibling is still alive or not. This tortured Herus mother, and although Roo didn't know what was going on at the time he remembers the last time he felt his mothers warm touch. Her caring eyes staring into his, and he remembers the semi-transparent tears sliding down her face. She was found in the nearest body of water, the police unsure how it happened or why she had even been there but she had drowned. That's when it first started, the constant flow of foster parents. It seemed as if nobody wanted him, and although he felt that way he always had high hopes. He was an extremely curious Vaiki from the start, always rolling around in the dirt and digging small holes. He was never really socialized as a young vaiki, being homeschooled until he was ready to start high school. It wasn't until the start of high school he realized there as a lot of evil in the world, constantly being picked on and teased by his school mates. He was constantly called a freak, oddball, and his favorite the big fluffy teddybear overlord by one of the meaner vaikis. He was even beat up at times after school, and he would never stand up for himself in fear it would make things worse. When he was a sophomore he started to run away from them, his problems. One day they chased him to a ditch, were he fell down and was stuck there for hours before someone came to rescue him. He tried to dig himself out, but instead he found something that now means so much to him, it sparked creativity and brought a whole new world or wonder to Heru, he found a fossil. Heru was eventually rescued, and after that he decided no more mister nice guy. He continued high school as normal, but decided to talk to others. By the time he was done with Sophomore year he was rather popular among the school, however he wasn't liked by his original bullies. When Heru started Junior year he was jumped once again, but instead of running away he fought as if it were life or death. He almost killed one of the Vaikis who had harmed him, and the other two suffered various injuries a well. He had managed to get out with a black eye and a few cuts, but that's it. He was expelled after that for being a danger to other students and was homeschooled for the rest of junior and senior year.
Heru started college early, never stopping in the summer so he had enough credits to graduate early. He still works hard, but he'll be able to graduate college in 4 years rather than the 6+ it takes to become a paleontologist. In the mean time he still looks for fossils and other things as if e had already graduated.

Personality; Star's personality changes from time to time but he is usually the sweetest stallion you could ever meet, Star was hand raised by Charles the owner of SCC, as he was imported from , America, his mother didn't make the transaction as nicely as they hoped, she received a illness on the way here luckily Star wasn't as bad as his mother and was easily treated his mother on the other hand was not treated as easily and she had to be put down to be put out of her misery. Star when is not the sweetest stallion you will ever meet, he is bossy little thing, but he will know if he pushed you too far and he will muzzle, and muzzle you until you cuddle him back.

five years ago,when she was just a little helpless egg,light lost her family for unknown reasons ( i will probably add a reason^^). well,inside her egg,she could´nt see anything,but she felt that she was totally lonely...and somewhere in space,miles away,set a little girl ,as lonely as the unborn rfd,and tears run down her cheeks,because there was no one to take away her lonelyness. and so she started to sing,a little hopefull melody wich floated even into the last corner of the universe.she kept singing (but she knew that she would never hear an answer,because she was deaf),and at least the melody reached the little lost egg with the hopeless rlight melody (who was nameless at this time^^) inside-and at this moment there came a flash of bright blue light out of nowhere,and when it left,light´s egg had turned into a ball of pulsing glowynness,a light so bright that even the little girl was able to see it. her eyes opened whide,as she understood what happend-this light was nothing else than the answer of her song,a answer she had not to hear! she stood up,and the light guidet her through the half of the dark space,and with any step the light shined brighter. when she stood in front of the strange glowing egg,light melody began to move ,because she could feel the presence of someone else,of a beeing which was as lonely as herself,and she cracked up the egg and shouted "here i am!" the little girl stared on the beautyfull creature and smiled -because she could understand what this little wonder sayed to her: the whole body of the rfd was full of glowing markings,as bright as the light wich brought them both together-and the markings changed wich every word the animal said,and so she could read everything just on its body (she was to surprised to wonder hoe she could understand this language of light she´d never seen before)! "i am here too" she wispered ,then she opened her arms and the magical creature with the burning red mane kuddeled into her arms "ill name you light melody,because your beautyfull singing markings of light helped us to find each other in the dark..." they stayed togehter forever,and even in the darkest night they coulnd´t loose each other,because light´s markings glowed the dark away-and thats the reason why light melody started to glow in the dark as a little cup (and still does): so that her best friend can find and understand her ,wherever they are^^

so,sorry for the next level of grammar horror-i´m a german girl who is still learning english^^
also sorry for this little weird story taking forever
