What is a Sima?

Simas are cat/wolf creatures basically. Their paws resemble a wolves while their body structure could resemble a cat. Simas are also known as 'Sword Mammels'. This name comes from their tail. The tail is the most important part of a Sima's body. They resemble a sword most of all. They are thick and fluffy at the base and when the go down the tail, it gets thinner then widens into two tail guards like the guards on a sword. The jewel acts like the blade.

The jewel of a Sima comes in various shapes, sizes and colors, in which they make a Sima unique. Their eyes are always the same color as he jewels unless they have a special condition. Simas have a furry body, their mane around the neck the most furry of all. Even their ears are fuzzy. Baby Simas are more so however, with furry lips, poofier manes and slightly larger ears than what their heads would allow.

Simas are omnivores, meaning they could eat anything from fruit to the meat of a rabbit and even to things like candy or cake. Their teeth are sharp in the front with molars in the back to chew with. All Simas live or come from tropical places. Most are house Simas though and are transferred to other locations where they live with humans. In the wild they are usually in packs of ten. They are social creatures so that's good. Some Simas mate for life, while others like temporary mates.

The jewels of Simas glow at the night, illuminating the darkness when they want. Some jewel colors however cause darkness while others cause more interesting powers.

A Sima has two types of horns that are found in the wild. They are uncommon though to find a lot with them. There are long ones and short ones. Babies don't know which they got until they grow up.

I've been feeling kinda childish today, and this is a result of that.
It's bright and colorful and bubbly, so there.
I don't know if it's actually got a nice design or not, but it's still kinda cute?

1956 - The Cave Behind the Waterfall

Bright, white snow swirled over paw prints left behind in the early-evening sun. Up ahead, a teal and white kiamara stared at her paws as she padded along through the light snowfall. In the pine trees before her lie a shimmering waterfall, it's icy water cascading into a pool below. As the young kiamara reached the tumbling water, she picked up her pace. Galloping, she rushed forward and in one giant leap, she disappeared through the waterfall.

Once inside, crystals seemed to fall off her fur as she shook the drops off of her pelt. The female kiamara snuggled up in a pile of fabric scraps she had collected and closed her eyes, though it was clear she was still awake as she jumped up at any sudden noises. She breathed heavily and rapidly before seeming to cool off. Sometimes, one just needed a break from home and that was exactly what she was doing.

Time passed slowly but this kia was content to go over her thoughts in silence. She spent almost all day like this, lying alone in the mysterious cave behind the waterfall. She went there to calm down or just be alone, as plenty of people do. Normally, the journey seemed like an adventure to a secret destination. This time was different.

While she was in the cave, a snowstorm had begun high on the mountain. The storm raged outside but it was time to go home. Her family mustn't worry or panic, heavy snowfall was nothing new. She took a few steps back and ran forward, gaining momentum to leap back through the waterfall. White paws crashed against the stone floor as she headed for the rushing water. A patch of ice glazed the surface of the ledge, but it was too late to slow down now. The kiamara's front paws left the floor as she took a big step and leapt into the air. But she misjudged her footing, as shining droplets of water covered her pelt and her torso exited the fall of mountain run-off, she plunged headfirst into the quickly-freezing water.

She struggled to come back afloat as the air was knocked out of her by the cold. Water flooded her lungs while she sunk deeper into the pool of slushy mountain water. Panic seemed to fill her up from top to bottom. She thrashed around even more as her sodden fur weighed her down and dragged her further into the shallow depths of the slushy water. Spots blurred her vision and the white and teal kiamara blacked out.

2007 – The Discovery
Wandering alone in the Swiss Alps, a young scientist stumbled upon a pool of ice, a wide opening in the stone walls behind it. The cave wall had been eroded over time, the once jagged rock now smooth and shiny, as was the waterfall that once covered it. The source from which the waterfall was emerging seemed to have stopped providing for the small pond and stream down below. Now, the pond remained, completely frozen.

He walked over the pool of frozen water, trying to see the depth to which it extended. The pool had not been very deep, but enough so that if he fell in, he would have a difficult time getting out. The water would have been over his head, he was glad that now it was entirely ice and he didn’t have to worry about slipping and falling into the frigid water.

He tried to make out the shapes below his feet, frozen in the thick layer of ice. He passed over one particularly interesting form as he passed over top of it. He squinted at the turquoise blob beneath him, attempting to tell what it was. He stared for a few more moments before deciding he would come back tomorrow with a pick to carve it out of the ice.

The early morning sun began to rise into the sky as the scientist set out the next day, alone once again. He carried with him his pick, and whistled as he went.

Upon arrival at the location of the waterfall, the scientist set to work chipping away at the ice to discover what lay down below. Shards of frozen water flew and sparkled in the air as he dug farther and farther into the pool. He dug around the shape in the glass until he was able to attach cords to the object and pull it out. He squinted at it, trying to make out the blurry form in the ice. Wait, it wasn’t an object hidden in the ice, it was a kiamara!

The scientist jumped back in surprise before returning to the side of the ice chunk. He stared at it a moment longer before re-attaching the cords he had brought. After examination, he found that the other kiamara trapped in the ice was a female who was only about 14 or 15 years old, still quite young. The scientist grabbed hold of the ropes and began to drag the ice back towards his lab. There might still be a chance to unfreeze this kiamara and he was going to take it.

2007 - Awakening - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ---------------------------------------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -------------
My eyes snapped open to see two men I didn’t know standing directly in front of me. I jumped back, surprised to see the two strangers in front of me. I glanced around me, starting to panic as I had no recollection of who I was, where I was or why I was there. All that I knew –if I knew anything at all- seemed to have disappeared from my mind. My brain was completely empty of memories. “W-where am I?” I accidentally said aloud.

I lay in a pool of water and I was freezing, my teeth chattering even though I didn’t realize they were. These men in front of me seemed to be studying me though I had not the slightest idea why. The whole situation was beginning to frighten me. The more I tried to push my memory and remember why I was here or where I was before here or who I was, the more it all seemed to elude me. I had no idea what to do but get away from these strangers. I began to slowly edge backwards, fur bristling when I slipped and came crashing to the floor.

“I see you’re awake,” one of the scientists said. “My name is John and this is my colleague, Frederic. Welcome to our lab.”

“A l-l-lab?” I stuttered, still frightened. Why would I be in a lab? I wasn’t being experimented on, was I? “H-how did I get here? Who am I? Where is this lab?” I asked.

The scientist frowned at my confusion, “Do you remember anything before you were frozen in that pool of ice?”

“Frozen? What’s going on? How did I get here?” I tried again. I didn’t remember being frozen in ice or how, if it was true, I had ended up in that ice. The more questions I asked, the more confused I seemed to get. I needed some answers.

“You don’t remember anything?” Frederic chimed in. “Anything at all? Nothing before you were frozen in that pool? How you ended up there..?”

I frowned, this was all too perplexing. Why didn’t I remember? A tear rolled down my cheek as the two scientists asked me question after question I didn’t know the answer to. I shook my head and sniffled, “I don’t remember a thing, not even my name. Could you please explain this all to me?” I gestured around the room as I spoke.

As I had asked, I was told what the two scientists knew about me. They had found me in a patch of ice in the Swiss Alps, where it seemed there used to be a waterfall. The pool beneath the place of the waterfall was where I had been frozen. I had been dug up by the two scientists and brought back here. That was it. It wasn’t much at all, but it was something, and now that I had learned all the information I would get, it was time to restart my life.

Some wonder if they are the children of stars, or stars themselves, but all that is known is that Wilx of these sorts are unimaginably powerful, and conceal their faces with simple masks made of different materials. Not many have been seen, but those who have in the past are still whispered about today, and revered as gods or similar beings in certain parts of the world.

2015 Wilx Constellation Event!
Welcome to the 2015 Constellation Event, the first Wilx event ever! We decided to create this event to pass on some more lore of the Wilx species to the public, and also to formally release the appearance of Godly Wilx and their offspring! We decided on a star, constellation and space theme because we love that sort of stuff. 'Nuff said yeah?

Aeolus are the lions of wind. They have roamed the earth for centuries and migrated from forest to forest in search for the ideal habitable conditions. Aeolus, as apposed to other lions, have gigantic antlers and use them for balance and protection against enemies--as if their gigantic jaws aren't already protection enough. The gender of the lions doesn't change their appearance, which is very different from normal lions. Male or female have thick, soft manes that keep them very warm in the winter months. Aeolus are very social creatures and love human interaction. Will you adopt an Aeolus?

Hazard Cats are felines with long limbs and robotic parts. Their tails are made of metal with some form of energy in the center that holds it together. Glass screens are installed into their chests that show the cats' health in the form of a heartbeat, glowing orb, or even something else. The color of the glow on the screen matches their eyes, which typically have hollowed pupils. Some cats have static on their screens, but beware. Those cats are as dangerous as they are rare. Grates are positioned on each of the cats' sides and aid in breathing. Depending on the cat, steam, mist, or liquid can come from these grates. They have three eyes, but the one in the center is almost always taped down or covered with a band-aid. This is done due to the hidden and sometimes dangerous powers that the third eye contains. Large eyes allow them to see in extremely low levels of light and their big ears help them hear potential prey miles away. Thanks to their strong legs, Hazard cats can reach speeds up to fifty miles per hour and leap near ten feet up.

My first Hazard as a guest artist!! I love working on the new lines. My first design is a cute brown / grey cat with a leaf on their head!
((The color scheme and the leaf on their head were slightly influenced by the forest spirit Totoro, but I didn't want to jus copy the design! You don't have to have watched the movie / be a fan to try out at all!!! Also please do not base the cat's personality and stuff on Totoro! Make them their own character!!))

About the leaf:
That is no simple leaf! Despite the fact that it looks like a simple leaf at first glance, it is actually a Philliidae or a leaf bug/walking leaf.
As Jag goes through her daily routine, she often gets glances of confusion by those who are perplexed as to how the "leaf" never falls off of her head, though it does sway in the wind. When she reveals that she is actually carrying a bug on her head, they often recoil in disgust while she just smiles as if it could not be more normal of a thing.

About the leaf: His leaf is his way of protecting him from the cruel world and allowing him to be sheltered by his own thoughts and dreams. He is a bit of a dreamer and is 4D, meaning he thinks a lot away from reality, but that allows him to be an excellent problem solver and squats down for "camouflage" with his leaf. It's more of a companion then a hat, but he does consider it pretty trendy and swears it will eventually become popular for cat's to have thinking leaves.

What is a Light Collector?

A Light Collector, or LC for short, is a small mystical creature who eats or ''collects'' forms of light. Their favorite snacks are always light which is the same color as their glow. This glow appears on a baby Light Collector's tail at birth as a light white color that quickly develops its permanent color within a hour of being born. When the baby Light Collector grows its horns as an adolescent, this same glow appears on the tips of the small round horns. But the wonder does not stop at the beautiful glowing tails and horns, as all Light Collectors have the ability to fly even without wings. They are incredibly light, allowing them to float through the air lighter than a feather.

Why Would You Like This Tolter?: Because I'd like to see my little baby Damian on the official tolter lines just like I've always dreamt since he was made. Why Would You Like This Tolter?: It signifies our inner demons, what tears us apart inside. For me, it's a reminder of how I'm overcoming my depression. The blood bay brindle would essentially be me, the black the depression that consumes. The 'claw marks' signify making an escape from that.
Halter Color: something with silver and/or purple

paragraph form -

black and blood bay chimeric with brindle and pintaloosa with bright green eyes. The blood bay is the main coat, then black seeming to 'take it over'. Maybe the brindle could be red, streaking through the black like claw marks. Badger face, no leg markings. I think the best way to approach this is to make the rich blood bay with the pintaloosa, then color it in black and use the brindling/claw marks to show the coat underneath.

I mount my stallion Ironhide, he arches his thick neck and reaches around to snuffle and nip at my boot the way he usually does. I give his neck a soft pat and shorten the reins a bit before we walk towards one of the trails on the Blue Cliff property. We get a good ten minutes into the trail ride before 'Hide starts snorting and prancing, shaking his head. I've seen him behave this way before, but only around mares in heat. The bay and grey stallion lets out a shrieking whinny before half way rearing up, I rub his neck to calm him before glimpsing a flash of grey in between the pine trees. Ironhide begins to snort again and attempts to drag me off the trail. I rein him in and then circle him a few times before pulling a long lead rope from the pack I have strapped to the saddle. He stands still for me while I form it into a crude lasso. I strap the lasso back to the saddle and turn him into the trees where I saw the grey mare.

I urge 'Hide into a trot, letting him follow his nose to the solid grey mare. We don't have any solid grey mares at Blue Cliff, so I'm obviously curious as to what she is. A ghost? A wild horse? We don't have wild horses around here though. Hide works himself to a canter once he catches a glimpse of the mare and I let him chase her, pulling the lasso from the saddle. My stallion corners the mare against a thick copse of trees in a clearing and I throw the lasso at the mare, somehow managing to capture her. The mare shrieks and throws her head, panicking. I talk soothingly, having Ironhide move with her so she doesn't snap her neck. She eventually calms and stands still, sweating and foaming at the mouth. I give a soft tug on the rope, and the mare takes a few cautious steps towards us. We head home, the mare following haltingly behind us. Once we get back to the stable, I dismount Ironhide and hold his reins as I walk the mare to one of the 'special' paddocks. I keep a few paddocks with ultra-high walls because some of my mares can jump incredibly high. I turn her into the paddock and shut the gate. She begins to buck and gallop about her confinement. I lead Hide away and untack him before turning him out with my other stallions. I go back to the special paddock to find that the mare has calmed down.

It's been a few days since the wild mare came to my stable. It turns out she escaped from the local branch of Bear Run, as the brand on her neck illustrates. She's calmed down and and I've named her since Bear Run turned her over to me. This mysterious spirit of a mare has been christened 'The Grey Lady' After a ghost that resides in New Zealand. I just call her Ghost for short. She's been transferred to a larger pasture with a small grove of trees at the far end. I haven't seen her for the past few days, so I'll assume my ghost mare has been hanging out in the trees.

She seems to be getting better. I watched her walk up to the bucket of grain I set in the pasture a few days ago, I waited until she was done eating and slowly approached the pasture. Unfortunately, she bolted the moment she heard me coming. I watched the beautiful grey dash to the far end of the pasture and vanish into the trees.

It's been a few days since then and she no longer spooks whenever she sees me. She knows I provide food and watches how the other horses crowd around me for attention. Today she stuck her muzzle between my elbow and side as I set down her feed bucket in an attempt to get at the grain. This, of course, earned her a firm slap to the chest. She's learning quickly.

What is a Voxxie?

A Voxxie is a small creature, around the size of a rat. They are in fact blind; living deep in under the earth, the need for sight was not necessary with the unfathomable blackness. Regardless of their lack of sight, they are no where near helpless. With their highly sensitive noses, ears and sense of touch, they are able to make their way around quite easily. They usually live in colonies of up to 15 or so Voxxies, although there is no hierarchy; just all living together. They are omnivores, eating whatever is available to them, but they are never cannibalistic. The fluffy hair around their ears and tails is actually a very unique system, the hairs are highly receptive to vibrations and help the Voxxie maneuver in the dark tunnels. All Voxxies have some some sort of glowing marking, no one knows exactly why, but it is believed that the markings give off some sort of smell, or sound that only other Voxxies can detect...and it is thought that this helps in knowing who is who.

One to two babies is the norm for a Voxxie pair, but a third baby is possible, although very rare. A baby Voxxie is born very fluffy, and vulnerable, relying heavily upon their parents for food and care.

This is based of Grass, Sunshine and... a mask? It looks like its smiling, and it looks like a skull? How interesting!
