These gentle creatures are found often, but not many encounters have been told. No one knows why, but maybe it has something to do with their laid back nature. Draecoats are blind by birth and rely on their other senses more than their eyesight, which is why you'll rarely see them open their eyes. Their existence is purely based on dreams, as they are found more at night time. It has been said that they only eat nightmares. They also have a fondness of children and love to play with them if there's a chance. Adopt one, and it'll share it's stories with you.

This one has spent quite some time in the clouds... it has clouds floating around!

Try to use less common words to describe them!~
Bigger words often have a more condensed meaning than smaller, more common ones.
For example, bibliophile says a lot more about a person than saying they are a nerd.
Hyphenated words are not allowed, such as book-lover.
Really break out those thesauruses guys!

INTRODUCTION
When the blood moon streaked the sky's of the lions home world...many became wary of what was to follow. The civil war was already taxing the lions, but now new unknowns were going to crash land into their lives. Untold powers were inevitable and their intentions beyond unclear. It would nice to say the lions looked forward to the moons gifts....but that would be a fable.
However, their time of worry came and went as the moon began to flash and writhe with power. The moon pulsed with flickering red lights, until it released its untold power. From the rays, 6 pillars fell towards their land. Plummeting faster than light itself and accompanied with a terrible presence. The columns of light crashed down upon the planets surface, screeching loud to announce the presence of a new being...six to be exact. Smoke rose from the point of touch to the planet and the red light began to pulse in rings around the newly seen forms. One by one these lions emerged....and their planet will never be the same.

From the smoke another red beast walked out. Pelt was redder than the females who walked before, but who's head was adorned with horns unlike the lions had seen. He seemed quiet and rather uninterested to the onlookers awaiting his arrival.

While I myself see no point in this war, I must fight in it. I was given the rank of a warrior among the traditionalists, more specifically a 'distraction'. I am the second line of defense in battle and use my element of reflection to allow for an attack on the 'enemy' from the true warriors. I have to think fast. When I am able to, I deflect attacks with the opposing element.
Personality:
Akeno is not the most active of lions. He is rather quiet and reserved, keeping a calmness about him. He has never lived before the time of the Blood Moon, only knowing of war and death, and is rather quite curious of what the world has- a world of peace and prosperity. To him, there is no point in the fighting, he knows that both sides could have come to some form of an agreement.
In truth, he sees the points of both sides and agrees. There is room for change and improvement, but that the old ways should not be strayed too far from. Not every lion can have the ability of time, and those lions are once in a life-time. Because of this, he has decided to support neither side. The fact that they delved to quickly into war, makes them both wrong.
He is rather idealistic and a realist. He wants to know all there is to know about what choices he is given before making any of of a decision. Which is what took him so long to choose which side to 'belong to'. He is painfully honest, making him come off as rather grumpy and pessimistic. He is very protective, though, wanting to shelter the few he is close to from harm and from the war. This mean lies as well.
When talking to others, Akeno doesn't often make eye contact. It is unknown why, but it does make him uncomfortable to be looking into another's eyes. They say the eyes are a window to the soul, and if this is true, he does not want to know another's true being.
Story:
There was no 'start' for me. There was no 'birth' or any parents. I do not know what it is like to have been a 'cub' or to have been loved. I only know the call of turmoil and war. My beginning was quick and instantaneous. The gate from which I emerged appeared behind me as my being was formed from the smoke that seeped from it. I can remember the feeling of being formed- a feeling a share with very few others. It was strange, almost like a gentle breeze swirling around me as I stepped forth. Honestly? It was a feeling I would feel again and again. Feeling of being created forthwith.

I was greeted with the sight of lions, more than I had ever seen, in armour of gold and silver and bronze and glistening in blood. Blood spilled by their own. I knew at that moment that I was not one of them. I redirected my gaze from them all to look ahead of me. I noticed others who were adorned in crimson fur, much like that of the blood that coated the lions' armours around me. I wondered if I resembled the same color. Seeing the looks from others, I knew I did. There was one lion who's fur looked like that of the fallen warriors- a skeleton. I had to suppress a shudder at the sight.

I made my way over to them, joining the lions were as pure as myself- or so they seemed. They had not yet taken a part in this war, this needless feuding. I would follow which ever they chose, so long as it did not involve the worthlessness of all this fighting. I knew so many lives had been lost. Loved ones and mates. Fathers and children. It pained me.

I sat among the others of the Blood Moon, daring not to mingle with the other lions, in silence as the rest of our kind emerged. I wondered briefly if they had experienced what I had. Once the gate closed and the smoke dispersed, I rose to my paws, feeling them wobble slightly, and turned away.

I ignored all calls to me by the lions. They were dead to me. I planned to stay only long enough to hear what the others of the Blood moon planned to do, then I would leave. I would make my own way, discovering my own world. I would protect those harmed in this war- the innocent. They did not deserve to be burdened or wounded in the violence.

I could feel that my ability, my power, was different from the rest. I did not feel as though fire flowed through my veins or that water washed constantly at my paws. I did not have wings to fly with or the sharp ears of what was know as a tracker. I felt none of that. What I did feel, was the tug at my paws try them all. I do not know why the idea came to my mind, I was not an ambitious lion, but it did. What was even crazier was that I followed through with it. I glanced at a tiny, wilting plant. Clearly trampled by paws. I turned to face it, touching my nose to it. I felt a swarm of energy flow through me and watched as the tiny plant began to rise back up with life.

That small action lead to my attempting of many more. I soon and quickly discovered my ability to manipulate the four base elements- water, earth, fire and air. It was a surprise to learn that I was the one and only lion with gift of, as it was dubbed, reflection. I was able to mimic other lions' elements and use them as my own. At least for a bit. It more than disheartening to learn that I needed other lions to all but live. That I needed to fight in the war I found pointless to use my special abilities.

After weighing the opinions of each of the feuding sides, I chose my company. I 'sided' with the lions who called themselves the 'traditionalists'. The way they lived had created these lands, and I believed they would continue to keep it standing.

Just want to make sure about this, she would probably not know what Thanatos does for a living. They would both try very hard to keep it from her.

Both are more protective then normal as they lost their first child.
Malik would be the calmer parent - Sweety, please dont touch that. etc
Thanatos would be the parent to pick child up move child. And then cave if tears happen.

Malik IMAGE (Surfer/Life Guard)
Total laid-back surfer guy. He puts others needs before his own a lot, which tends to some times get himself hurt. Is strangely blunt, as he says it in an almost joking way. Very easy to talk to and doesnt mind trying to give advise. His one of those people everyone knows, just cause he quite sociable. Doesnt get scared or nervous to often. It also takes a lot to tick him off or frustrate him.

Thanatos IMAGE (Mercenary/Hitman)
How he acts around others
Than pretty much hates everyone. He doesnt like the chatter, he doesnt like the loud technology and he doesnt like the living. Tends to be very quiet and settles for glaring at people. When he does talk, he's normally soft spoken but is super polite. He has serious issues with people touching him and avoids physical contact. He does kill people for a living, so he most definitely is NOT friendly. Not use to others being nice to him, so he gets a little shell shocked. Doesnt really have emotions anymore, most were beaten out of him.
How he acts around Malik/Kids
Tends to be a little more vocal, but not by much. Will allow cuddles and such but still tends to tense up. Tries to use expressions. Will pretty much stalk Malik(+child) if he leaves the house by himself, cause he's worried, though he doesnt understand why he does it. Tends to be a little bit of a push over/sucker, tries to spoil them.

Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP tend to be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. PTP have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.

What is a Sima?

Simas are cat/wolf creatures basically. Their paws resemble a wolves while their body structure could resemble a cat. Simas are also known as 'Sword Mammels'. This name comes from their tail. The tail is the most important part of a Sima's body. They resemble a sword most of all. They are thick and fluffy at the base and when the go down the tail, it gets thinner then widens into two tail guards like the guards on a sword. The jewel acts like the blade.

The jewel of a Sima comes in various shapes, sizes and colors, in which they make a Sima unique. Their eyes are always the same color as he jewels unless they have a special condition. Simas have a furry body, their mane around the neck the most furry of all. Even their ears are fuzzy. Baby Simas are more so however, with furry lips, poofier manes and slightly larger ears than what their heads would allow.

Simas are omnivores, meaning they could eat anything from fruit to the meat of a rabbit and even to things like candy or cake. Their teeth are sharp in the front with molars in the back to chew with. All Simas live or come from tropical places. Most are house Simas though and are transferred to other locations where they live with humans. In the wild they are usually in packs of ten. They are social creatures so that's good. Some Simas mate for life, while others like temporary mates.

The jewels of Simas glow at the night, illuminating the darkness when they want. Some jewel colors however cause darkness while others cause more interesting powers.

A Sima has two types of horns that are found in the wild. They are uncommon though to find a lot with them. There are long ones and short ones. Babies don't know which they got until they grow up.

I finally managed to really do a quick simple design tonight when my muse was too dead to finish the RU's I was working on. OTL

Ignore the timer, I was working on this in between math homework problems.

So the contest will be an art and question one!~

Judging will be based on the interestingness of the answer and the personality shown through the art, not it's quality.

THE QUESTION: What trait- besides their appearance- does this plumie have in common with cats?

THE ART TWIST: Art must be 200 px x 200 px or less! Pixel art and very simple animations are allowed, but no words.
