Overview and History

The origin of this particular species is unknown. It is guess that it was the iqena who sparked the mythos of unicorns, pegasus, kirin, and hundreds more that have become legend. Thousands of years of speculation and wonder have led to the constant search of this elusive species.

Iqena are commonly friendly towards any creature of any world. Their peaceful souls only adding to the mystery of their vast variations. Even the youngest of iqena are clueless to their biological origin. Some say that they are born from the mind, much like the goddess Athena.

Jordan's domain is that of a small scale traditional Japanese garden.It's previous owner and origins in itself prove to be a mystery nearly unsolveable to him. But in itself, this doesn't matter an awful lot to Jordan for he's simply thankful to have found it isolated away from that of the bustling city.
From time to time again, Jordan is fascinated by the beings that surround them, and often keep an eye on them from afar, not wanting to cause disruptions in their lifestyles.
Jordan is known to be like his domain, quiet and secretive. While approched by other Iqenas, he doesn't speak much about himself, nor his home, but can do sonewhat well at keeping a steady conversation with them, making little attempts to start petty arguments for a laugh or the likes.
Whenever Jordan isn't socializing or observing, he can be found resting in silence about the garden. Whether it be laying down on the edge of the koi pond, taking a nap beside the rushing waters of the waterfall, adoring the scent of the sakura tree, or looking up at the stars while drifting off to dreams he won't remember when he wakes.To him it'll always be the perfect resort to recover from slip-ups or crossing paths with iqenas that aren't the friendly type. And thanks to this it'll forever hold great meaning to him.
Yet just as quietly as his koi may swim, he hopes to find someone he can trust enough to share his homeland with.

Welcome to the teke apocalypse! Ideally, there will be a large number of Phaethon's Tekes available for adoption at one time. However, because of lack of planning and some unexpected road blocks, it may end up being a little less organized.
This does not change that there will be a mass adoption event like right now :D

What is a Toucat?
Toucats are happy little creatures about the size of a housecat. They have an average lifespan of 15-17 years in the wild and 18-20 years in captivity. Wild Toucats reside in the rainforests of Central and South America and spend most of their time lounging in the treetops. They are omnivorous, but their diet consists mainly of nuts and berries. However, if desperate, they will resort to small animals and insects. There are sharp serrations along the bill to help shred meat if necessary. Toucats are very agile and have retractable claws like a cat that help them climb trees with ease.
Toucats are very social and can be domesticated and bred. They tend to bond with one person and can be very protective of them. If you befriend a Toucat, it will remain loyal to you for the rest of its life. If separated from the person they have bonded with for too long, Toucats can become severely depressed.
While only natural colors occur in the wild, unnatural colors and other characteristics have been obtained in domesticated Toucats through breeding. Though fairly rare, there have been domesticated Toucats with horns, spikes, multiple tails (or no tail at all), patches of scales, and other abnormalities.
Toucats were discovered by a team of scientists on an expedition through a rainforest in Central America. The first Toucat discovered was captured and sent to a lab for testing. It was named Specimen #1, and is the mascot of the species here on Chicken Smoothie.

This is a domesticated uncommon Toucat.

The leather has been strengthened with water after being strapped to molds. This way it will stay in shape. It is then decorated by burning the leather, making dark markings. Straps are attached This armor is strong but not bullet proof.

This armor is for Wolfgirl63 and may not be used by anyone else!

Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.

Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Variety: Normal Tail, Reverse Blaze facial markings. Will grow to have back ears, extra short fluff (feet/bangs).

Note: Once it's time to grow him/her, they will be grown here and the cover will be removed.

He knew. He had already tested it. There was another way out, the window, but it was too high up for him to reach, let alone jump out. Defeated and hungry, Aaron slumped onto the cold ground. What is an Icicle Bat?

Icicle Bats are a canine/feline species that live primarily in cold areas and prefer to come out at night. These creatures get their name because they naturally live in caves like bats, and because of their strong back legs, can hang upside down from tree branches! This species is characterized by their large paws and tufted bat ears-- as well as, of course, their icicles! Icicle Bats can have icicles anywhere from their forearm to their back and always have a ring around their tails. Their inner ear and paw pad are made of the same ice. Kiara's small for her age, but she's determined, courageous and willing to prove herself. She wants to be the change she wants to see in her pack - but since nobody's actually listened, she's getting more and more determined to prove herself she's like everyone else, maybe even better. She's loud and confident, a good speaker and likes to seem strong around strangers so she makes a good first impression. But she has got some weak spots - hit them accurately and precisely, and she'll immediately lose all her confidence. She hates to talk about her pack, her parents or anything sensitive.

why are their icicles black?

Kiara was always small for her age, but much more willing to prove herself to be the best. She didn't like to act weak around others, to not disrespect her parents - her parents were royalty, after all, alphas of the pack. Her parents hardly talked to her, seeing she was such a disappointment. She wanted to prove she would be a good alpha as well, like them, but as they said - "An alpha must be strong as well as brave." However, she wondered if being an alpha meant more than being big and strong - they could be small, quick and cunning, right? She asked some of the other Icicle Batlings around town, hoping for advice - instead, they ignored her and even teased her.

However, she didn't give up - the Icicle Batlings soon got annoyed by her and decided to get rid of her. They guessed that her parents hardly would care if she was missing or gone - they didn't even care for such a tiny pipsqueak! They decided to set her a dangerous task that would eventually kill her, or at least, have her leave forever. So one day, they told her, "Fine! If you want to learn to be a great alpha... seeing you say you are small, quick and cunning, you must go to the sea and hunt down the Great Octopus, a beast with eight legs, and bring it back to the pack. I'm sure it'll fill up many hungry bellies."

Hearing that, Kiara eagerly agreed and set off without telling anyone. She headed towards the scent of salt - the sea. She refused to give up or stop fighting - she received a couple of injuries on the way, but she clenched her teeth and kept going. She finally arrived at the sea, and sat down for a moment to think and rest. I can't breath underwater... but there must be another way, right? She sat and thought as the sky grew dark. Then she thought, Maybe I can't go underwater, but maybe I can bring the Great Octopus up here, where I will have the advantage? She decided to do just that and started preparing for the next morning.

The next day, she tossed a couple of fish she had managed to find, flopping on the shore, hoping it would attract the Octopus. Sure enough, a giant beast rose out of the water, long legs lashing to grab the fish. Kiara froze, suddenly realizing how big it was - then steeled her nerves and charged. She battered at it with her claws, but it hardly seemed to bother it. The Octopus started sinking into the water - thinking fast, Kiara scrambled over its back and slashed at its eyes. With a roar, the Octopus turned around and lashed at her with one of its long legs. She grabbed it with her jaws and held on, tight, eyes shut - there was a tearing noise and suddenly she was flying through the air, still clinging to the tentacle. Another roar, and an inky darkness suddenly sprayed over her, knocking her off the tentacle and sending her flying down the beach.

She hit the sand hard - luckily, it softened her fall. However, she stayed unconscious until night, where she groggily got to her paws, feeling pain sting her pads and wounds - but when she saw what was left, she smiled. A long tentacle lay close to the shore, claw marks and bite marks scattered over it. She limped over and took the tip with her teeth and started dragging it home, ready to prove she wasn't the failure they thought she was.

When she returned back to her pack, the first Icicle Bat she met was her father. "Father!" she cried, dropping the octopus leg. "I hunted down the Great Octopus and brought back its leg to eat!" Instead of a cheer or even a warm smile, he frowned. "You're not my daughter." he said. "My daughter is dead - the Icicle Batlings told me themselves." "But... but I'm Kiara! Don't you recognize me?! I used my wit to -" "I don't want to hear anymore. Unless you can really show you're Kiara, then you're not taking one step into my territory." He bared his teeth at her, his icicles glowing fiercely. Kiara stepped back in shock, leaving the octopus leg. "But... I..." "Go. Now." She spun around and fled, her father snarling behind her back, and disappeared over the snowy hills, ashamed and alone.

She wondered about what he had said - Why didn't he recognize me? She decided to see for herself and peered into a crystal clear puddle - to her horror, her once gleaming, colorful icicles were inky black. Her eye white was black and so was her tongue. Her pads were scraped and dark, and Kiara could barely recognize herself. She gritted her teeth and turned away from her reflection. I'll prove I'm really Kiara. she told herself. One day, they will remember. One day, I'll prove myself to be the best and become rightful alpha of my pack.

To this day, Kiara's been living outside her pack's territory, thinking up with ways to prove herself. To prove she's the best - to prove she's Kiara, the rightful alpha of her pack.

Likes:

The color purple, grey-purple and grey-blue, because these are her natural colors and she's proud of it.
Archery, because she doesn't have to get too close to enemies as they would easily overpower her. She prefers to stand away and shoot or ambush.
Being praised, because it's good when they're not talking about her weaknesses and congratulating her on her strengths instead. However, this hardly ever happens.

Dislikes:

Paw-to-paw combat, because she isn't that good at it without a strategy and she's easily overpowered by her opponents.
Being teased, because she knows that nobody's all good and all bad - she has her strengths and weaknesses, like them.
Being caught off-guard, because she's proud of her cleverness and she doesn't like it when someone proves to be better than her.

What is her reaction to her sudden change of color?

She's suddenly hating black, but also can't help but like it a little. Black is the color of her icicles - what made her father turn away from her, what made her pack not believe her. However, darkness is useful as she can camouflage into the night and use it as an ambush. She has mixed feelings about black - however, she wishes that her icicles never changed color.

-icicles are black because they were corrupted by a poisonous mushroom which caused a poison that could only be cured by turning the icicles black.

Butterpups are a cross between butterflies and dogs. They are very playful and love to be cuddled with. They have two sets of wings, one behind their ears and one on their back. They have close association with fairies and every time a Buttercup is born, a fairy will deliver a certain orb that suits that pup and protects it. Different orbs are what distinguish the pups' rarity. Common/Uncommon orbs will only have one color. Rare orbs have two and Very rare orbs have three. Sometimes you might find a fairy in one and that makes it a legendary rare. The rarity can be seen by the color of the bar, green for common, yellow for uncommon, orange for rare, red for very rare and rainbow for legendary.
They're born in cocoons that will give a sneak peak of what the buttercup will look like. Then they go into teen stage but since the body is still developing, their wings aren't fully grown and their eyes haven't been opened yet.
