how did they rip their scarf up? Violet is a wild scarfyz.One day Violet was climbing a tree and she fell out of the tree and her scarf ripped luckily not much harm was done when she fell out of the tree.

How did they rip their scarf up? Iokaste was running through the forest when she fell down into a net trap and was slung up into a tree. For ten minutes she frantically chewed through the net and fell out. The scarf caught on the net and ripped it, devastating Iokaste, as it was her only possession from home. Now she has become very very possessive of her scarf and lets no one touch in unless she knows and trusts the Scarfy.

how did they rip their scarf up?
Believe it or not, Opal ripped up her scarf by doing something very stupid. it all started one day when she was trying to sow a rip in her scarf. she had gotten it cut up when she took a short cut through some thorn bushes and in the process of trying to fix up a few small rips in her scarfz; she managed to jam her scarf into the sower and pulled it out in a panic and ripped it all up even worse. however if you ask Opal how she ripped her scarf she will simply blush and say that she ripped it up trying to run through some spiky bushes.

What would make you more active in the teke community? My RL is causing any inactivity that I might have towards Tekes, or any other adoption center. I defiantly think that the more the adoption center is up and moving itself, the more active the followers of it will be. This means regular adopts, streaming, an active fan club. You only need about 2-3 users being active for it to kind of create a wave of activity with everyone else. The goal would be to find active staff, which can be REALLY hard. It is getting to a point I feel that there are SO many new equine adopts opening up, and their are only so many artists to hire. Everyone wants the best, but their is only so many professional equine artists there. ANYWAY I am blabbing on now. I think the #1 thing that would keep me and any person active in a community is an active and devoted owner, and active and devoted staff!
What kinds of things do you want to see added or changed? Tekes are beautiful, unique, and have a wonderful community. Right now I would not change a thing about them. Because we are getting new staff soon, I have a feeling that Phaethon's Tekes will change, but that change will defiantly be for the better!
What do you think would be good for the species? From a followers point of view, breedings should be a thing that is available at least part-regularly. I think it brings an exiting twist to an adoption center, being able to take two horses and have their offspring made. I suggest that you do keep customs more uncommon though, because if you make them available a lot you might have less people entering adopts. Just my opinion <3
Is there anything you'd like to see from me, the owner? You are honestly doing an amazing job with these guys. I totally understand that life gets busy, and you obviously have to put your RL first, 100% of the time.
Is there anything you'd like to see from artists? Hehe, I am trying out to be an artist myself, but I think the #1 thing that owners should look for in artists is how devoted and active they are going to be with the species. For me, as an adoptable owner, this is SO hard to predict, and in the end it all comes down to hiring, and having rules. It can be make at least 1 adopt a week, or 1 adopt every 4 weeks, but in the end, you can't hold on to inactive artists. If you find a person who is not as experienced with drawing horses, colors, genes, etc. but is willing to put time and effort into making adopts, keep em.

Hopefully what I have been saying makes a little bit of sense. Their is a fly m my room that LITERALLY WILL NOT STOP LANDING ON ME. Its driving me insane. I am studying latin right now, and just so you know I do NOT have a knack for learning other languages. Oh and BTW Latro means "robber" in latin. Just thought it sounded cool. Love this guy BTW.

What would make you more active in the teke community? -- Personally, I think events, or something that constantly keeps me on my toes and checking back, makes me more active in the species in general. I know, for example, I always get excited when Neara posts in the DAM threads because she occasionally takes art orders there, and that sort of stuff would usually spike my attention in the species again before community went quiet once more and I got caught up in another species' fanclub. Or, the Tolters have a system where you can earn items and the like for your horse with just the stories, art and other stuff that one would do anyway in using their characters, or even the art pieces ordered from them. That keeps me active with those.
Short-term events usually only work for a little bit; they'll wake up the community and bring some new people in, sure, but they have to be done on a regular basis to keep the place active and fun for the long term - think the WMEs' constant themed adopts. ^^; If the staff can handle that, it'd be great to see, but the long-term things might be best for the Tekes for now, and I do want to keep that in consideration. <3
What kinds of things do you want to see added or changed? -- Honestly, the simple beauty of these guys means that I'm quite happy with how they are; the text areas are nice and understandable and answer my questions, the adopts are simply gorgeous... I don't really have an answer here. But I can at least say that, since they're almost all at least partially domestic, something man-made like a bridle/halter/etc would make sense, though it really isn't necessary. ^^;

Cliff Side Down

Kuva dashed around, lonely today, it was just, herself, herself, and her mind. Nothing was there to disturb her on this peaceful day but one thought: Why is no one going to play with me? All of the other sanskira's had refused play time with her, and that was why she trotted along like some lonesome horse, lost from the herd. Even her mother and father had sent her off, helping out with one of the mother's missing baby's. Poor mother had been worried sick, pacing nervously and growling to herself, racing to any sound.

So here Kuva walked, trying to entertain herself. She looked up at the sky, her mane rustled by the breeze. Chunks of cloud stood out on this calm day. Walking along, she tried to marvel at the landscape around her, but truthfully she was bored. And bound to be in trouble. She was used to being lonely, and this wasn't the first time she would go straying off.

Hmph, mommy and daddy will have to come play with me to get me back! she thought confidently, yipping happily and rearing playfully, imagining herself a full grown mare ready to take on the world. Even angry parents.

Racing off, she ducked in towards the trees, eyes wild, swinging her head to swing anything out of the way. "Can't get me here!" she barked, not realizing what was ahead of her.

Without meaning to, the next thing Kuva knew was the ground sloping down faster than she could anticipate, sending her down in a shower of pine needles. "Ow ow ow!" she yowled, pine needles finding their own way to her skin. Pawing her way at the ground, the most she could catch onto were rocks that bumped her. With a shriek, she was flown off the edge of a cliff, into a stream below.

There was no time to howl, no time to think as she was thrown into a cold torrent. Rocks were close enough below her to catch onto with her hooves, but that wasn't enough to stop her from the shock and rush of the water. What a powerful thing the stream was, titled enough to just catch a young sanskira off guard.

Raising her head into the air, she howled to anything and everything. "Heeeelp!"

Feet slipping, her head fell under and she resurfaced coughing and spluttering. I can do this, especially if the deer can! she told herself confidently.

Lodging one of her hooves under a rock she turned her head to take a quick look behind her and...not good. A small water fall was visible behind her and after that, well the sound of it clearly said rapids. Panicking slightly, Kuva pushed herself against the rock, tearing her foot out from underneath. It began to throb soon after, but Kuva ignored it over the sound of her heavy breathing and constant slipping on loose rocks.

Moving herself to the edge of the stream, she leaped out happily, shaking the water out of her fur. Mud and pine needles were now magnets to her fur. "Mmm," Kuva whimpered, walking with her ears down. She stared warily at the water, looking around for a place to climb up.

Aha! A cliff side that was just wide enough for her to leap up. Kuva carefully jumped around on the rocks, slowly making her way up to the canyon. Her tail slowly began to wag the closer and closer she got to the top. Soon she was pushing against the rocks with her horns, telling herself she could command these rocks to move. It was all in the entertaining nature of play pretend.

Finally, breath heavy, Kuva jumped up the last rock. Closing her eyes, she gave a relieved bounce of joy. Settling down, she looked at the trees around her happily.

And there was her father.
