What is a Sima?

Simas are cat/wolf creatures basically. Their paws resemble a wolves while their body structure could resemble a cat. Simas are also known as 'Sword Mammels'. This name comes from their tail. The tail is the most important part of a Sima's body. They resemble a sword most of all. They are thick and fluffy at the base and when the go down the tail, it gets thinner then widens into two tail guards like the guards on a sword. The jewel acts like the blade.

The jewel of a Sima comes in various shapes, sizes and colors, in which they make a Sima unique. Their eyes are always the same color as he jewels unless they have a special condition. Simas have a furry body, their mane around the neck the most furry of all. Even their ears are fuzzy. Baby Simas are more so however, with furry lips, poofier manes and slightly larger ears than what their heads would allow.

Simas are omnivores, meaning they could eat anything from fruit to the meat of a rabbit and even to things like candy or cake. Their teeth are sharp in the front with molars in the back to chew with. All Simas live or come from tropical places. Most are house Simas though and are transferred to other locations where they live with humans. In the wild they are usually in packs of ten. They are social creatures so that's good. Some Simas mate for life, while others like temporary mates.

The jewels of Simas glow at the night, illuminating the darkness when they want. Some jewel colors however cause darkness while others cause more interesting powers.

A Sima has two types of horns that are found in the wild. They are uncommon though to find a lot with them. There are long ones and short ones. Babies don't know which they got until they grow up.

Scarfyz are normally thin and slender creatures meant for living in warm rocky areas. They have a tiny bit of smell, only good enough for smelling flowers when it's 2 inches from their rabbit like noses. So instead of smell, they have a sixth sense. This sense is a gift from their god, Atosethis. It was said Atosethis, God of scarfyz and their world, had pity on the species she created for having no smell. So she gave them the amazing ability to have extra eyes and be able to see their worlds as maps if they needed to. They have antennae that Atosethis placed on their head so they could tell what each other where thinking. The antennae read minds, but can never place a thought in there heads, which isn't that helpful. They are very intelligent animals, although the appearance of a dog and a rabbit. They normally wrap scarves around their necks to preserve warmth, for these creatures loose their heat very quickly. Scarfyz with extra fur can live up in the mountains and in snow fields and tundra. Female's scarfyz scarves are a little smaller than the male scarfyz scarves. (example: you have a male winter scarf and a female winter scarf. The female's scarf is smaller than the male's.)

Meeting Shadow

When I saw the advert for untrained tolters, I couldn't resist. I had always wanted a bear run tolter, and now I finally had the chance to get one. I used to have a pony, but he had died a few years ago. I had kept all of his tack and the paddocks were still well kept, so I would be able to look after a new pony just fine. The next morning I woke myself up very early, and got ready. I put on a pair of my old jodhpurs and grabbed my riding hat and dragged myself into the car. I still had an old horse box and I attached it onto the back. Putting the address for the stables where the young horses were being kept into my satnav, I set off. I drove for about ten miles before I reached a large stables in the middle of the countryside. A stablehand dressed in jeans and a polo shirt came out to great me as I pulled into the driveway. She asked if I was here to see the untrained tolters looking for homes, and I followed her inside the barn. As I stepped through the red doors I saw about 30 stalls, each with a pony's head looking out towards us. They are all so beautiful! I thought to myself as we walked through. How will I ever pick just one. As we approached the end of the barn a particular pony suddenly caught my eye. She was a light grey pinto with sparkling blue eyes and her face was so kind and gentle I knew I could not leave her here. The stablehand saw me admiring the pony and told me she was one of the newest Icelandic ponies at the stables, and she had only been here a few days. I said that I would like to take her, and the stable hand put a rope halter over her head and led her through the barn. She didn't seem to mind being led, which was surprising considering she was untrained. I was thankful when she calmly walked into my trailer. The stablehand told me to care for her well and I promised to do so. Then I got into my car and drove home.

I got off of Rusty to watch the 'Ruff and tuff' cowboys get knocked off trying to tame mustangs, I watched everyone get bucked off the young seal bay and how quirky the tolter acted, It was kinda amazing that they are using such painful equipment because the tolter would be great without a bit, Not longer after watching i decided to purchase the seal bay mustang, I needed a better challenge than Axel i chuckled to myself, I rode Rusty back to my ranch and took off his saddle, saddle pad, and whatever else would bother him out in the pasture and let him go, I hooked up the horse trailer to my truck and returned to the place with a large amount of money to wave around for the mustang, They actually fell for selling the seal bay for a cheap price, They told me that his name was Lukas, I smiled and offered to load him onto the trailer myself, but they insisted they do it, I told them they better not hurt him because i would make them pay for it, 'Well my life savings didn't go down too much buying this guy' i smiled dreaming of a much larger ranch and more space for my tolters, before i knew it the surprisingly had him in the horse trailer already, i smiled and waved a 'thanks' to them and drove the mustang to the ranch, "Lukas... you're part of the family now." i said talking to myself while driving, Today was the beginning of a new life for Lukas and me.

I sighed getting out the truck, Trying to decide if letting him into the pasture was a good idea, I snap my fingers ' I can just move them to the other pasture i have and finally use those electric gates!' i grinned and began moving my other tolters to a much larger and more grassy pasture, i need to take Lukas in here now i said closing the gate to my property, i got a lead rope and opened the trailer doors, 'Good thing he didn't hurt himself' i though as i slowly approached the mustang he acted higher than me but in reality he is lower than me, i lead him into the now empty pasture and let him go for the rest of the day, deciding after my trail riding hours (People pay to ride the horses on trail rides) are done i'll get him a halter, something that'd hopefully be comfortable, meanwhile with Lukas, After he explored his pasture he tried to impress the other tolters who are only separated by an electric gate, They seemed to just ignore him, Lukas liked his quiet pasture, and he liked the hay that was on the ground, He liked being outside but the true test will be here soon, I sighed it was already sundown.. i led all of the tolters into the stables, putting them in their respective stalls, I was able to catch Lukas and get him into the stall, The stalls were fairly large, there was thick comfy hay on the ground, it was rather spacious and the sides had metal bars so the tolters could see eachother and know they are not alone, Lukas didn't like the hay in the stall as much but he attempted to communicate with the other tolters once more, the tolter next to him kicked the wall in an attempt to kick him, i watched it all, chuckling a bit, He'll have to get used to everything, i'll have to decide on which tolter will get along with him so he has a buddy.

3; Introducing the halter

Business was over for the day, So i went out to the pasture Lukas was kept in. I had received a halter in the mail today. I had figured that it'd be easier to do it in the pasture so he doesn't get overwhelmed with pressure, I slowly walked up to him, Luckily he didn't run away, I let him sniff the halter, He seemed to back away a little, I slowly attempted to put the halter on him, It was rather difficult but i managed to do it, He doesn't look very happy... i thought to myself, i watched him try to get the halter off, i gave him 2 hours with the halter on then caught him and took it off, He calmed down, Luckily he didn't hurt himself though, I admired the purple-ish blue halter, It had some sort of leather-like crests on it too, It was quite expensive.. i should get ready to introduce Lukas to Aquene, They should get along... I hope.

Forest Run Arabians are a strain of the Arabian breed bred to what we believe is the Mustang. However, no one truly knows. They were found wild in the forests of a group of islands in South Eastern Alaska. FRA's can also be found in mountains in Northern Alaska, but it is very rare to find a herd there. They are the image of an Arabian but with a stockier build and less graceful movements.

Our mascot, the horse on the front page, is a stallion named Algonquin and has unlimited breeding slots. Our staff has decided on adopting out some mares with a special bonus; they automatically get a breeding slot with Algonquin. In order to get these mares, however, you need to guess one of three possible foal outcomes the artist chooses. If you are the first one to get an outcome right, the mare is yours as well as the foal. Once you get the mare, that outcome you won with is the color of the foal.

A Story about friendship ~

~ and trust

~ First Encounter ~

It was a warm summer morning, the world seemed to start waking up slowly and you coupd feel in the air that this will become a very hot day. I was walking through the station, watching all the new horses they caught yesterday. Two have been dying during the round up, and i was so angry inside that i needed all of my self control to not start screaming at all these **** that are mistreating these wondeful animals so much. All i could do to help them is to give at öeast one of them a new good home. Suddenly i saw him. First he was just like any other horse here, but turning his head i looked into his eyes and immediately felt some kind of affinity to him. This will be the one to take home with me!

I was so angry this morning and still so exhausted of the last days fighting, i did never feel so ever before, and everytime my look goes at the fence holding me at tis place, away from my home, from the ones i love and my beloved freedom, i could tear the whole world down. How can i be so angry? How do these people dare to decide about me? To decide about my life? So many people are walking up the fence, looking at me, sometimes angry, sometimes pitying, sometimes just apathetic. But then there was this young lady, looking deep into my eyes. I stood still, unable to move even one single muscle. Never before have i felt any sympathy for a human, but she was different. Hopefully she wont be simply goingaway again...

~ Adjusting to the new home ~

When he arrived at my home, i could feel his anxiety and how unsure he was. But nevertheless he seemed to like the big willow, as he immediately started running to see its borders and afterwards even started eating grass. I think this is a good sign!

When they carried me away again i was deeply afraid of where they will bring me now, as i heard many terrible storys from the other horses. But when they opened the door of the truck and i saw HER standing there my heart beat calmed down a little bit. After some time i had enough courage to leave the truck, and i saw what was around it. It was a big willow, so big that i needed to run quite a bit to see the fence surrounding it. Also my mood got immediately worse seeing the fence, i liked this place a lot. Mountains surrounded the place which made me feel like i was at home again...

~ Introduction of the halter ~
After some days when he already started to come to me and a little trust was growing, i decided to show him a halter. To make it easier for him i took a simple halter that was made of one small rope.When i showed it to him he was not vey interedted in it, but when i wrapped it around his head he was really shocked. I started giving him some carrots and apple pieces to make lead his concentration away from that new thing aroung his head, and after some time he started to relax. Only some days later it has become quite normal for him to wear this thing!

When she first came with that THING and put it around my head i was really shocked and wanted to run and run and run to make it go away - but man she had carrottes and these wondefully sour green apples, so i decided to stay. And by the time i realized that this thing she calls "halter" is not that bad as i thought, and she was so happy seeing me accepting it that i stopped resistence. And after some days i did not even realize it when i wore it...

~ Meeting a friend ~

A friend told me he knew about a stallion, an former racehorse, who should be killed because of being too slow. Seeing him i decided to introduce him to my new wild stally, as he is definitely lonely being all alone on this big willow. Many people then said oh now how can you put two stallions together, all they will do is fight. But as i knew that in nature stallions that do not have their own herd often have strong friendships with another stallion and travel together, i wanted to try it out. Both were a little wary at te beginning, but later it looked as if they would become quite good friends!

One day i could smell another horse on my willow. And when he came running towards me i really wasnt sure whether i should be happy about it or not - but when we got to know each other i saw that he was really nice and i started to hope we might become good friends one day. And to scuffle with him was so much fun...

~Gaining his trust ~

The trust was growing with time, evey day we spent together, every nice moment we had made it grow. And mainly his Racehorse-friend's trust to me made him more and more safe that he could trust me too!

~ First time with saddle ~

I must admit i have always been a fan of bareback riding - youcan feel every muscle of the horse working beneath you, and it feels so natural. I adore it. So i thougt why ride him wit saddle? I simply dont need it. So i decided to first sit on him bareback. And because it was me sitting on his back for the first time and not that "dead" saddle, he was a little irritated but not very frightened or surpirsed, and after a few steps it felt wonderful. We will surely have nice rides throug the landscape in the future!

First it felt quite strange having something on my back, but as it was HER and i really trust her now, i started to walk. Man it was so difficult to walk now. But after some time i got used to it. I could feel how happy she was riding me, and so was i...

~ Ground work ~

As i am a western rider i wanted him to listen to voice signals, such as "Whoaaaa". So i tried to teach them to him.Te first 30 minutes where hard as he did absolutely not understand what i wanted from him, but it got better by the time, and on this first day he learned 4 signals. I was really surprised that he learned so fast though he never learned things like that before. Such an intelligent boy!

When she tried to teach me some voice signals she must have tougt that i am stupid cause i needed some time to get what she wants. But then i tried to do my very best to show here im not, abd itwas a lot of fun. Though i still think a lot about my homeland and all the others of my herd, in such moments im just happy to be here and to have here as a friend, and all the bad toughts get carried away quite fast then...
