idk what I was doing with this one but it turned into some sort of circuit board based design thing, yup that. but I do like the gradients and the hair, that was fun pfft. definitely not my normal style. So this one is just going to be a raffle because I feel like doing a quicker thing.

Day One
I looked out the window and looked at the world below. It was amazing for the moment, then my stomach whirled. I quickly turned and focused on the floor. I was never a big fan of airplanes, but I had to deal with it to get from New York to Wyoming. I thought about driving, but I didn't want to deal with being in a car for so long. I thought about Blossom, my mustang from my first Mustang Makeover. She was staying behind in New York, but I was going to try and get her flown out at some point. I was awaken from my day dreaming by the flight attendants walking to their seats. "Cabin and crew, prepare for landing!" I was able to get my suitcase pretty quickly, unlike last year. I had to pick up Buddy, my cat, and who knows how long the paperwork for that would take. I was a little worried about taking a cat on a plane, but everyone suggested I do since he doesn't do well without me and he interacts so well with my horses. After I finished the paperwork, which took a little under a hour, and picked up Buddy, who seemed to be only a little shaken up by the plane, I loaded up my rental car. It was a big silver truck, an older brand of Chevy. The place I rented it from had agreed to attach the two horse trailer I rented. I hopped in the truck and set buddy down in the passenger seat. He curled up and fell asleep within a minute. I set up the GPS on my phone and set out a map next to me. It was only about 10 in the morning. I started up the truck and pulled out of the airport. I was staying at my cousins ranch. I had my own little cottage with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a spare room that I believed had a table, computer, washer and dryer and some other common household items. The ranch was about two hours away from the airport. I pulled into the driveway, my cousins Mya and Miley where waiting at the end of the driveway. I parked the truck and hopped out and gave them a hug. "Hi!" We all shouted at once. After talking for a few minutes I let Buddy out of the car, who was still sleeping. After he woke up he jumped out and walked into the house and fell back asleep on the couch. I unloaded the car and set up everything in my cottage. I then walked around the ranch with Mya. There was an indoor arena, outdoor arena, training rings, a fairly large barn with about 30 stalls, two paddocks, a riding trail, and two green meadows. It also had a creek running along the side of the ranch. Before I knew it, it was time to pick up my mustang. I arrived at Cottonwood, which was only half an hour away from Mya and Mileys ranch. I pulled into the driveway, where staff was waiting for the Mustang Makeover contestants. After talking and filling out a short form, a lady with short brown hair led me to my mustang. My palms grew sweaty with nervousness as we walked around the corner of a building to view a small holding area with a beautiful blood bay gelding. My eyes grew wide in excitement. His coat was beautiful and he didn't seem to show any fear when I leaned up against the fence only a few yards away from him. We loaded him into the trailer with no problems. I drove slowly back to the ranch and thought of names for my mustang. I passed a sign leading to a bow range that said "Follow the Arrows!" with a picture of a bow and arrow on it. "Arrow! That's it! His name will be Arrow!" I said to myself. I thought of the show name Fast and Furious as well. I pulled into the ranch and unloaded Arrow into his stall for the night. It was only about 8 in the evening, but I was exhausted. I said goodnight to Mya and Miley and walked into my cottage. I plopped down in my bed and thought about Arrow. We had a lot of work to do. Day Two
I woke up to an alarming sound outside. It sounded like hammers beating wood. I jumped out of bed, wearing my "too tired to care" nightgown, and peered out the window. Arrow was kicking the paddock fence. Rearing and bucking too. I threw on a yellow tank top, pair of jean shorts, some boots, and a hat to cover up my un brushed hair and ran out the door. I slowed down as I approached him. I ran in front of the fence he was kicking. "Woah boy!" I put my hands it in front of me as I said this. "Calm down boy!" What is his problem? I noticed the truck I had left parked on the side of the dirt road was shining brightly in the early sun. Is the reflection in his eye? No, he would have just moved. Wait, what if he is scared of shiny things! I ran into my house and grabbed my keys and ran back to the car. I hit the unlock button on the keys as I was running. I threw open the door, started up the truck, closed the door, and drove up the driveway. I parked the car behind the house where Arrow couldn't see it. I then ran inside, almost out of breath, and moved anything that was shiny or could be shiny in the sunlight out of the windows. Finally Arrow had stopped and it was quite. I attached a red wagon to my bike and put a bag full of tack in it. Mya and Miley are letting me borrow a full western tack, english tack, and a few extra halters. I had brought some blankets and other random horse luxuries and necessities that I could fit in my bag. The bag was heavy, and when I hopped on my bike and started to peddle, it was an effort. I was taking all the tack to a small spare barn down from my house that Miley said I could use to store the tack. When I was done setting up everything I rode back up to Arrows paddock. I couldn't see Arrow. "Arrow!" I called, even though I knew it was useless since he wouldn't recognize his name or even care if I was calling him. Then I noticed that the tall wood fence had a hole in the same spot he had been kicking earlier. "Oh no no no no no!" I started running around the house and his paddock. I grabbed a rope and halter that I had left hanging on the fence. "Mya! Miley! Arrow got out!" I screamed. Within a minute they both came running out of their house, which was right next to mine. We started running in separate directions. I suddenly thought of something. "Wait! I think I know where he might be!" I ran up behind my house in the little driveway where I had parked the truck. Of course, there was Arrow, standing by the truck and leaning his head up against the window. It was one of the strangest things I've seen a horse do. "What is his problem?" Mya asked. I thought for a moment, then it hit me. "Shiny things!" She looked at me as if I'd spoken a foreign language. "This morning he was going crazy trying to get to the truck because it was shining in the sunlight. I thought he was scared or threatened by it and was trying to attack it so I moved it. But now I think he liked shiny things." Mya nodded. "I had a horse like that when I was young. She always used to want to chew anything shiny, so we had to spray paint everything somewhat shiny that she could possibly see. We could never wear jewelry around her either." After we got Arrow back to his paddock we fixed the fence. We took down the whole section that had broken and replaced it with brand new wood that was a lot thicker than the wood that was there before. Tomorrow we would be adding the thicker wood to the fence. We also spray painted anything shiny that he could see such as the fence lock. I walked over to where Arrow was standing. I leaned up against the fence. He was only a few feet from me. "You are going to be a lot of work aren't you boy." Night, Night Diary Sincerely Meg |
