Anticipation knotted in my stomach as I pushed open the doors to the dusty Sanskira barn, each footfall echoing off the wooden walls. "Hello?" My voice seemed to fall on deaf ears, only causing several equines to stir within their stalls. I was here to finally adopt my first Sanskira, a young female. I had met her parents, but not the foal herself.

There seemed to be noise coming from the tack room - a washing machine, perhaps? Passing stalls filled with both horses and Sanskiras, I stopped in front of a small stall in particular. It seemed to be empty at first glance, but when I truend my gaze downwards I saw a small Sanskira baby lying on the stall's bedding, her breathing soft and regular. She seemed to wake at my presence, glancing up with light colored, wide, innocent eyes. Curious not yet sated, she stood, uncurling her long, nimble legs that were once tucked so neatly beneath her. This foal seemed unlike others I had come across before - she was graceful, the way she walked less clumsy than majestic. Once she reached the stall door, I lowered my hand just past the frame, allowing her to sniff it eagerly. Leaning down to pet the young Sanskira's head, I was surprised when she stopped me by eagerly licking my hand. Her mane and tail seemed to glow in the dim lighting, and when she turned to get a good look at me, I noticed an interesting marking on her rump. A dreamcatcher marking, almost? Just I first made contact with her soft coat, my fingers gently petting an area on the young foal's back, a noise startled both me and the foal.
"Hello? Oh, it's you." A man said, exiting the tack room and approaching me to shake my hand. He smiled warmly as he said, "I see you've found your foal. Excited?" I nodded eagerly, grinning. "Absolutely."

Venus paused mid-step, paw quivering. Her head turned, taking in the beast behind her as it emerged from the supposedly closed portal. "You're a mistake, never meant to happen." It spoke, it's voice like gravel, and watched bemusedly as the reptile before it broke down, whole form shaking and tears welling up before stinging eyes. The psuedo dragon gauged the earth with unsteady claws, and tried to pull herself out of the anxiety attack she could feel coming. Only once she heard the shrill screams of a friend, now caught in the monster's claws, did she shake it off and launch herself back into the fight. Sure, she was a mistake, but her friends needed her and until she was sure they were safe, they came first.

Hey guys!! So this is my precious kiddo, Riley. I absolutely adore them but I feel like I haven't been giving them the attention or development they deserve. I've debated over this a LOT, and it's a bit painful, but I've decided that I'll be putting them up for readoption. I really want them to have an awesome, loving, active home, and I think I'm just not quite able to provide it ;^; <3

What I want you to do in your form is PROVE to me that you will provide an active, caring home for them. Your form can include whatever you want and it can be as long as you want. Something like plans for them or why I can believe you'll be active would be awesome!! Of course, the character/personality/history is all up to you, and I'd love to see that portrayed in the form too.

Some things to note--
- Please please PLEASE try to leave out unnecessary writing. Quality over quantity I beg of you. It seriously hurts my eyes to read too much unnecessary text at a time. ^
- They're dmab and, when I owned them, genderfluid, but you can change their gender and name as you see fit.
- These were the accessories I made them; you're welcome to use them or make new ones or have them have no accessories at all.
- They aren't PPS and can be grown; it's fine if you write the form a bit in the future tense/about what they'll be like as an adult. ^^

This will end in 3 weeks, July 3rd, but extensions are possible if needbe.

They have some art found here which the winner can of course use; don't use it in your form though please!

What is a Long-tailed Fennex?
A Fennex is a rare subspecies of marsupial with long legs, ears and fluffy tails that are used to blanket themselves, normally found in warm but not hot climates inhabitting large, open plains. They come in varied natural colours, normally with some form of stripes on their bodies for camoflauge, and otherwise simple coat patterns.

What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.
