Keetin #27 - Magellanic Penguin Cutey Writing Contest

To enter you must own either no to only two keetins.
Here is one of my many references I used to design this little lassie. This girlie has the patterns of a cute Magellanic penguin.  Oddly enough the winner of the last contest, who also chose the type of contest this one will be, guessed correctly when they said penguin. Anyways this contest is still short and sweet and is a quick writing contest. Please read the guidelines before posting.- To enter you must either be a non-owner or own one to two keetins. - She is female and you cannot change this. - This contest will have either two to three runner-ups. ( Unless there is not enough finished entries. ) - When posting, your entire form must be filled, excluding the writing part. -- This means you must fill out name, personality and the answers to the questions. - You may only edit your form up to five times. - This contest only last a few days so please finish your story. - You may not add any extras. - The only allowed ways to decorate your form are by coding such as coloring the text, centering the text, making it big or smaller, et cetera. - You may not add any images to your form at all including images that only have text. The end date is September third so please have your forms complete by then. However posting forms closes after the first post on page two so if your entering be serious about it please. The story you write can be about anything so long as it is not too long ( there is however no word limit ) and it is YOUR OWN story and relates in whatever way to the keetin. The story must also include a title... if it is about her day shopping, for example, call it "Shopping Day" or whatever. Please make sure the story is friendly for all ages and does not go against CS rules, contest rules, or keetin rules. The judging will lie on how interesting the story turns out.

How many keetins do you own at the current moment?: I currently own One Her Name: Monteria Her Personality: Innocent - Trusting - Friendly - Curious - Cuddle bug - Traveler Monteria is the most innocent little sweetheart you could meet. She tends to find the good side of each situation, and hasn't found herself yet in anything that's really not that good. Her innocence has it's good sides and bad sides - she is able to be happy all the time, but she trusts a bit too easily. She has become lost before after following someone's directions, who were purposefully misleading her, and she not believing it was them. Monteria loves to make friends, and will often start up conversations just to make friends. She would protect her friends with all she has, though being a little rodent has an innate sense of self preservation that would come first. She can be a bit too curious at times though, and can seem a little nosy, but she just wants to know. She wants to know a lot about the universe, and will hunt for answers for silly little things, like why do butterfly wings have different colors and things like that. She's also a cuddle bug, and often looks to her friends for hugs - lots and lots of them. It might seem that she makes friends to get hugs, but that's not true. She makes friends to meet people, and hugs are an added bonus. How does she meet all her friends? Well, Monteria is a traveler, and moves on and on, seeing the world and meeting new people. She doesn't really have a permanent home, instead she's more nomadic, stowing away in human's backpacks or climbing on their shoulders. How did she happen to obtain that little blue bow and why?: Monteria's family has always been nomadic, traveling from place to place. She was always excited to move, see where they would go next. When she was eight, her family considered her old enough to chose where they were to go next. So, she chose going to ......... Jᴏʀᴅᴀɴ ♥ How many keetins? None Her Name: Isole. This is a female, german name that means "Rule of Ice" I believe it fits her. Her Personality: Isole is actually a really sweet and upbeat Keetin. She is very jubilant and always has a smile on her face no matter how hard times get. This is because she doesn't want anyone to worry about her, so she tries to keep a happy character so others won't come up to her and worry about her. She cares about everyone no matter what their previous actions are unless the actions are brutal and rude towards one of her loved ones. She is also adventurous, and believes if she tries her best she can conquer anything. She uses the story of the blue bow to prove this. The little blue bow.. The little blue bow is simply a family tradition. It started many years ago when the first member of the family realized that their hobby was sewing and making articles of clothing. This soon became a family tradition, but the keetins don't actually make the bows themselves now. Just a few days before the first keetin of the Isole family died, they made a wish to keep this family tradition going, and this wish was sent to a few fairies in the forest. It was accepted, and has been a tradition ever since. The blue bows are made as soon as a new member of the family is born, but not given to the person receiving it until teen years. But Isole's aunt explained how she got the blue bow and it fascinated Isole. She eagerly wanted hers, and left on a cold winter night to find the forest where those fairies made the bows. {You can see a much more detailed explanation of this in the story!~} Contest Suggestion? 1. Maybe a comp where people guess things about you? 2. A Scavenger hunt for a specific symbol or item within other posts? 3. Maybe base a Keetin design off of a specific picture and give hints to help the person find the image? c: --Tell me if three suggestions aren't allowed, I'll delete two-- A Story: "This little blue bow is a symbol of the peace and tranquility among our family, through blood or not." My aunt spoke softly, her soothing voice slowly taking my curiosity down as I started to understand the family tradition more and more. I had always admired this story, but tonight my aunt added more.. My aunt got to her paws and slowly turned her head towards the north. "Over those mountains and beyond, there is a forest with a path of blue crystals.. Fairies are alone in that forest, helping us continue this family tradition." I rose my head up high so I could look into the distance before speaking. "Auntie.. How long until I get my bow?" I stuttered, my face turning a little pink. My aunt let out a quiet giggle, gazing down at me. "Oh it'll be a long while my dear.. Now come on, lets get some sleep.." I nodded and curled up beside my aunt, her tail resting over me as a blanket. I closed my eyes and I instantly fell asleep. I was sent into a dream. I saw the beautiful and bright azure crystals lighting up the forest on the cold winter night. I heard a voice in the back of my mind. When the blue moon arises.. You will leave this land and go to the land of blue crystals.. Shocked, I opened my eyes quickly and turned my head a little bit, but slowly so I wouldn't awaken my aunt, who was deep in her slumber. Panting, I curled up in a small ball, whispering under my breath. "I have to.. its my destiny." The next night, my aunt went to sleep early, which was perfect timing. I sat outside on a large rock, staring up at the sky as I analyzed the moon. Suddenly, the moon was slowly engulfed by a bright shade of blue. I gasped as the moon changed colors, and when the transformation finish, a bright blue light shined over the land of keetins. I smiled and got to my paws, glancing right and left multiple times before I turned and sprinted out of the area, my fur ruffling as a sudden cool breeze swept over me. A chill ran down my spine. This was odd, it was a fall night.. But little did I know, the blue moon symbolized an sudden winter night. A snowflake landed on my nose and I crossed my eyes to look at it. I then rose my head and within a few seconds, a blizzard started and the ground was layered with snow. I tread through the snow, slowly sinking into the snow as the snow piled up. I shivered, a tear running down my cheek from how cold it was. "S-so... cold.. I got.. to make it though.." I reached the mountains and rose my head up, my pupils dilating as I saw how tall the mountains were. "I have.. to climb.. t-these?" I clenched my teeth and looked down at the ground, taking a deep breath. "I'll.. get there!" I exclaimed before I charged ahead, using all my strength to run up the side of the mountain. I turned and looked at a cave, my eyes widening. I gasped and smiled to myself. "W-wait.." A blue aura was floating around a tree in the distant, and I laughed in joy, tears still running down my face. As I took a few more steps, my muscles grew weak. I collapsed, panting as snow almost buried me. I got to my feet and took the last few steps. I reached the top of them mountain and saw the forest, a blue path on the other side of the mountain leading down to it. I dove forward and slid down the hill on my belly. When I got to the bottom of the mountain, I took a few steps but collapsed, my vision slowly blurring. When I woke up, many voices were heard and there wasn't anymore snow present, it was warm. I opened my eyes, trembling as I rose my head up. One of the fairies flew in front of my eye and spoke. "Guys! She's here! She's awake too!" I sat up and rubbed my face with my cold paws. "Eh? Why are you so surprised..?" Gasps were heard and soon fairies went left and right, but not towards me - towards two others they then let the two people through - they were my parents. I turned towards them, my pupils slowly shrinking. "Woah... M-mom.. d-dad.. don't get mad at me but.." They didn't welcome me with screaming in disgust, they welcomed me with a nice warm hug. "You.. you made it.. The fairies warned us of it when you were born but.. we didn't believe them.. you truly are the one." My mother turned towards the fairies. "Give her the blue bow, and put extra fairy dust on it." The fairies nodded and flew away to a large blue crystal with a hole drilled through it. A black thread was taken from a dress and ran through the blue crystal multiple times. When the blue ribbon was finished being made, the fairies flew back and tied it to my ear in a unique bow not every seen through out the family. I smiled proudly and stood up with my head rose high. |

Ciqala meaning little in Dakota Personality:
Akocha can rarely be found in one place for very long, so if you can find him, you're quite lucky and you better lock him down before he's gone again. Locals that encounter him say he's just a myth, not really a real Kokoro. He just comes and then leaves before anyone has a chance to study him very much. Some that do meet him find him to be quiet on the outside. On the inside Akocha is an ardent, fervent individual, he longs to find something that sates his desires in life. Whether it be answers, someone else, something he heard of. He searches for anything to satisfy the longing in his soul. [img]will%20add%20this%20back[/img] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How did they meet their companion: Ciqala obviously being a creature of the desert resorted to only coming out at night, but the one time he comes out in the day time, some Kokoros wishing to get some money for pets captured him while he was vulnerable out in the heat of the day, rather than the cool of the night. The Kokoros took him to their home and put him in a small wooden cage and left him for sometime, the youngings of the adults that captured him often came to see if he was awake or anything. He stayed with the Kokoros for sometime, until his cage was lifted from the table it sat on, some words were spoken from his captors and he watched as the brought him into the busy marketplace outside the house. Akocha had to visit the market today, he needed some supplies for his journey to the next village, he tugged his cloak hood over his head and wandered through the marketplace which was bustling with other Kokoros. He saw a male carrying the cage that held Ciqala and saw the small creature looking quite distressed, something in him sparked and he wanted to help the creature. He hummed before walking to the Kokoro holding the cage, "Sir, how much for the creature in the cage?" He asked. "Nothin' the likes a you can offer, " The Kokoro replied, and held the cage tighter to him, Akocha reached into his pouch and procured a few gold coins and offered them to the man. The other Kokoro seemed torn at his offer and roughly took the coins and opened the cage to let Akocha get Ciqala. Akocha dipped his head in thanks as the small creature jumped into his hand, and he turned and walked away into the crowd of people. "You are safe now little Ciqala, " He told the rodent with a smooth voice.  This is a revamp of this keetin... This was my first ever keetin design. I entered the original artist contest back in the day and, as I did not become an artist until the lineart contest, this lady was forgotten. Generally, however, I adopt out my entries if I can. So I thought I'd give her a major revamp... so here she is finally at long last.She is pretty sad... could it be possible that she needs another keetin to mend her broken heart? Oh man that was too dramatic why did I type that WHY. Here are a few requirements. - You must only own two or one or no keetins to enter. - This girl must remain straight, so her "love interest" should be a male keetin. - You may only add up to two extras. - You may decorate your form. - If adding art, it will be unlimited and will not count as an extra, so feel free to draw art for the form. - Do not remove anything from the form. - You may use one of my keetins to be the love interest I guess if you want. However, not Pinocchio, Vanilla Or Pod so... taht just leaves Ciril lol. Here is the form now.

End Date: September 19, 2015 Inspired by this palette: http://www.colourlovers.com/craft/trend ... D_Balloons This viscet started out as a sort of tribute to my love of color for y'all, and was supposed to be more striped-themed than anything...but as you can see, spots slowly made their way into his/her design, as did the awesome eye-marking. He/She ended up being more diluted than I had originally intended, too. Here's hoping y'all like this crazy-colored viscet, and I hope his/her design is original enough to be acceptable to y'all, as it honestly isn't what I was hoping for when I set out to create him/her. This will be an easy contest. Just show me one GIF.
