prompt: as a patrol spots the strange cat, they confront them uneasily, but before any of them speak, the stardust-furred feline turns to face them, and.. wow. jewelry is draped over them like an elegant painting, and their pelt makes them look like they were a piece of the night sky descending upon the clans in mortal form. their eyes aren't visible, and yet they emanate a regal, almost heavenly power. one of the patrolling cats blushes and averts their gaze, seeming almost hypnotized by their dazzling appearance. as the shimmering cat turns to them in concern, the flustered cat almost trips over their own paws as they struggle to keep their composure.

".. are you okay there? you seem to be.. bleeding? oh dear, what happened to your face? it's changing color-!" they exclaim worriedly. cometchaser, the blushing cat, just seems to get more embarrassed. "it's.. uh. it's called blushing. just.. it's normal, i'm okay.." she mutters, voice barely above a whisper. "oh, um.. also, you're very pretty-! haha, but you probably know that already, right-??"

the rest of the patrol stares at cometchaser like she's gotten bees in her brain. and maybe she has! "cometchaser, what's gotten into you? you don't act like this." she stumbles and stares at her paws. "sorry, sorry.. i, uh, guess we should take them to camp? they definitely aren't from the other clans.. actually, i can take them! can i-?" the whole patrol agrees just to get her to stop. she almost trips over her own paws again racing to show cosmos to camp; occasionally sneaking questions about their origin and why they look like they fell from the stars above. she's definitely a lot more eager than usual. the new stranger seems happy to listen to her yap about whatever a "clan" is.

The storm that night was one of the worst Thunderlands had seen in seasons. It was the kind of storm that made even the strongest warriors pause before stepping out of camp. Rain poured in endless sheets, soaking through even the thickest pelts. The wind shrieked through the cliffs and whipped the treetops back and forth until they creaked and groaned like they might snap in two. Lightning cracked above, tearing the night open with blinding light, and thunder followed so quickly and so loud that it seemed the whole sky was falling down at once. The river, swollen with the downpour, roared like a wild beast, and rocks tumbled loose from the cliffs to crash into the ravine below.

Still, Thunderlands cats did not cower. Patrols went out even when the storm tried to keep them in their dens. Lightningbolt led the way, his scarred blue-gray fur plastered flat, pale eyes squinting against the rain. Raindancer followed close behind, her cinnamon-mink coat dark with water but her steps steady and sure. Cherryblossom, dwarfed by her clanmates, fought harder than either of them to stay upright. Her long white fur clung to her small frame, streaked with faint pink that stood out even in the storm’s shadows. She stumbled more than once but picked herself up every time, refusing to be left behind. Together they pressed forward, their paws sinking into the mud, driven by a sense of duty that not even thunder could drown out.

It was Raindancer who saw her first. Through the blur of rain, a loner queen staggered into view. She looked frail, her ribs showing beneath her soaked coat, and yet she moved with a desperate determination. Between her jaws hung a tiny kit, no bigger than a pinecone, her limp body swaying with each of her mother’s faltering steps. The queen’s eyes were wide and wild, but focused on a single goal: to keep her daughter safe.

The patrol broke into a run, but they were too late. The queen’s legs buckled beneath her, and she collapsed at the roots of an old pine. With the last of her strength, she curled herself around her kit, shielding the tiny body from the rain, and then her chest stilled. Her breath faded into the storm, gone as quickly as a candle snuffed out by the wind.

Lightningbolt bent down, nudging the kit gently with his muzzle. The patrol half expected silence, but instead the little one blinked open her eyes. She gave a sharp squeak and then, unbelievably, began to purr. The sound was faint but steady, as if the storm around her did not exist at all. She pressed against Lightningbolt’s soaked fur without hesitation, as if she had already chosen to trust him.

Cherryblossom’s voice was soft but sure. “This is a sign,” she said, her breath misting in the cold. Raindancer only nodded, her green eyes fixed on the still body of the mother. None of them could bring themselves to leave her there.

The three cats worked together in the rain, their paws heavy with mud, to bury the queen at the edge of the pines. They chose a place where the ground was firm enough to hold, sheltered from the worst of the wind. Though she had been a stranger, they treated her with the respect she had earned. She had given everything she had to protect her kit, and in Thunderlands that was enough to honor her. Her sacrifice was the kind of courage they all understood.

By the time they carried the kit into camp, their pelts were drenched and their paws ached, but their hearts were heavier still. The clan gathered beneath the storm-slashed sky, watching as the patrol stepped forward. At the front stood Stormwatcher, his long blue coat dripping with rain. Valkyriewing, his mate, stood beside him, her red tabby fur vivid even in the stormlight, bobbed tail twitching as she leaned forward to see the tiny scrap nestled against Lightningbolt’s chest.

Stormwatcher’s gaze lingered on the kit, then lifted toward the burial ground where the patrol had laid the queen to rest. His voice was calm but carried over the thunder. He spoke an old aphorism from the Stormbringers: “Even the smallest spark can light the darkest storm.” The words felt like a truth handed down from the ancestors themselves. They were a reminder that strength did not always roar like thunder or crash like waves. Sometimes it was as small as a mother carrying her kit through the rain.

It was Valkyriewing who stepped forward then. Her own kits, Wolfpaw, Styxpaw, Piccolopaw, and Damaskpaw, had just become apprentices, yet she was still producing milk. She leaned down, brushing her muzzle against the tiny kit’s damp fur, and announced softly that she would nurse the orphan herself. It seemed natural. Her own nest had only just emptied, and here was a life that still needed warmth and care. The bond formed instantly, as though the stars had intended it all along.

As Stormwatcher’s words faded, the storm eased for the first time that night. The rain slowed, thinning to a soft drizzle. Near the queen’s grave, where the soil had been disturbed and left wet and bare, tiny flowers began to rise. Bluebells, their petals trembling from the rain, stood out like little stars against the dark mud. No cat missed the sight.

“That is what she will be,” Valkyriewing said softly, her eyes warm on the kit. “Bluebellkit. A life that bloomed from loss.”

From then on, she was one of them. Though she had lost everything, she never seemed weighed down by grief. She grew up full of joy, bounding after the older apprentices and laughing when thunder shook the cliffs. She would tilt her chin to the rain and close her eyes as if every drop was a gift. To her, the storm was not a curse but the night she had been found, the night she had been given a second chance.

The clan remembered the storm for its destruction. Bluebellkit remembered it as the night she was saved. In her heart, every sunrise was a promise, every meal was a blessing, and every thunderclap was only the Stormbringers reminding her that she was meant to live. She carried her gratitude like a flame, one that lit even the darkest days. And just like the bluebells that pushed through the mud after the storm, she was proof that beauty and hope could survive even in the harshest of places.

i feel like hazel would be a constantly worrying and snappy healer, being rude out of her care for her clanmates and friends. she was previously a warrior, but due to her surprising experience with herbs and treating wounds, she was allowed to become a healer. she still fights occasionally when she needs to protect her clanmates; due to still having fighting skills.

i imagined the line "harpy hare, where have you buried all your children?" as a rival warrior from another clan standing in front of the healer's den, taunting hazel as she stands defensively in front of injured warriors in battle stance. even in danger, she stands strong. after all, healers are supposed to take care of their patients. how can they heal a dead body?

she's very overprotective over her clanmates, especially kits and elders, and she's one of the few dawn risers that can be easily seen as bitter or rude. she never means it; though.

prompt: I desperately need to see my girl Bluestar. She is my favorite leader in all the series, and not just because of the nostalgia! She's sacrificed so much for her clan and at the end of the day wound up in such a tricky position... I also find all her messy decisions (Lostface, Tigerheart, etc) deeply fascinating to watch; I think she's one of the more complex characters in warriors canon. And her spiral into kitty dementia at the end... heartbreaking. I love her so much I think I would explode of joy if she became CotN real.

I'll preface this by saying I have not read crowfeather's trial, with that said, I honestly don't understand the amount of hate he gets, he was actually one of my favorite characters in TNP. I don't agree with what he did to nightcloud and breezepelt, but with what I've read of his story so far I love it, and find it more tragic than anything. I feel like he's been through so much and nobody ever acknowledges it. First off his love story with feathertail is one of my favorite in the series, right up there with firestars and sandstorms, and seeing his reaction when she died then asking to be named after her genuinely almost made me cry. Secondly I felt so bad for him when he fell in love with leafpool, after all he thought he'd never find love again, and when he did, it was a medicine cat from a different clan, so they could never truly be together. And thirdly, him feeling forced to be in a relationship and take a mate and have kits just to prove his loyalty to his clan makes me feel bad for him, nightcloud, and breezepelt.

Anyways, thank you for coming to my ted talk!! Can you tell I like crowfeather?

**Minor Spoilers**

I remember her being a crazy underrated character with a beautiful design. Even though she left
Thunderclan (I think because she was being mistreated or something like that due to bias against Tigerstar's
kin), she seemed to really care about all of the clans, and had a calm, calculative personality. It was a breath
of fresh air compared to some of the other characters that were either super bloodthirsty or super
melodramatic. ^^''

I felt like they gave a lame reason for why she didn't become the leader
of Shadowclan when she was already the deputy, and I wish she wasn't so heavily
side-lined in the series.

I'm speaking as someone who retired from reading the series during the middle of the
Dawn of the Clans Arc, so I don't know what they did with her character after that.

I just would love a cat inspired by what I know about her. x)
