A: Usually, I will approve purchases ASAP - no poking necessary!

Q: When is the store restocked?
A: Typically somewhere around the first few days of the month! There isn't an exact schedule and restocks aren't always announced.

Q: Who can approve my MYO?
A: The only users permitted to officially approve MYOs at the moment are myself (Swishy & Broken), I Like Bees, and Mythz!

Q: Can I buy MYOs with stardust?
A: Not usually, but on rare occasion there might be a sale that will use stardust!

Q: May I create a cat off-Oekaki?

Q: I'm not added to the MYO cover! How do I make my cat?
A: Just post on this thread to ask to be added and I'll add you asap! ^^

Q: Can I buy MYO tickets / edits / stardust with tokens?
A: If there is an announcement made stating this, then yes, you may buy Stars currency/items with CS event tokens in place of C$ during events! The token to C$ conversion can be found in the announcement. Different tokens may have different conversion rates, and prices may change throughout the duration of the event, but neither of these are guaranteed. Purchases generally stop some time before the end of the event to allow for trade-in time.

Q: Does my Common MYO (C MYO) get unlimited common edits?
A: Yes!

Q: Does my Uncommon MYO (UC MYO) get unlimited common edits? Does my Rare MYO (R MYO) get unlimited uncommon and common edits?
A: Yes to both of these! All MYO tickets get unlimited edits of the rarities below the ticket rarity. For example, an uncommon MYO ticket gets unlimited common and NR edits.

Q: Can I add another edit to my cat after it's already been approved?
A: After a cat has been approved, you may not edit the design without purchasing the proper rarity edit from the MYO store or shop located on the main page. Once this is done you should let us know that you've used an edit on one of your cats here. All edits to existing approved cats must be applied via color-in and receive approval again.

Q: How do I apply a StarClan lines edit (Star's Greetings item)?
A: Here are our guidelines for how to apply a StarClan or Dark Forest edit to your cat! Just like any edit item, please make sure to apply the edit via color-in (do not edit the original reference), get the edit approved, and post a "used item" form on the archives.

Q: Can MYOs be kits/apprentices?
A: Yes! You will be responsible for their growths, and the date that they can grow will be given when they're approved.

Q: What should I do if I want to add an edit that will only appear on my reference once my cat is grown?
A: You should list every edit your cat, once grown, will have when posting the original kitten/apprentice reference for approval. If you do not list this edit we will only be able to assume that your cat will have the default lines, and you will need to apply edit items for any new edits shown.

Q: When can my MYO grow?
A: Your MYO can grow from kit to apprentice 3 weeks after the MYO was posted, and apprentice to warrior after an additional 3 weeks! If you skip the apprentice growth, your kit will still take 6 weeks to grow to a warrior. These growth dates go by the time your cat was posted, not the time they were approved. Growths cannot be approved until the day they are scheduled to grow.

Q: Can I post my MYO's growths in advance / during the approval process?
A: Yes! You're welcome to post all three (or two) growths at the same time, to ensure all their markings and edits are accurate and won't require future editing or use of edit items later down the line. However, your cat's growths cannot be approved until the date(s) they're scheduled to grow, and you may not use their growths until the growths are approved!

1. All CS website rules apply.

2. Individual designer ToS must be abided by. This is to be followed for selling/trading/gifting designs and changing designs especially.

!! It is highly discouraged against selling any design made with inspiration/reference to any copyrighted media, even if it is just referenced in the shelter story. !!
3. Credit the individual designer for their designs rather than SFA itself. You can find their preferred credit/s on their ToS.

4. All members must have accounts at least 2 months old to participate in SFA.

5. Harassment, taunting, begging, lowballing/bartering/bargaining, and spam will not be tolerated.

6. Do not ask about price or offer on owned or not owned designs that are not specifically up for sale/trade offers.

7. Designs that are specifically rehomed within SFA through a re-adoption may only be hosted by SFA staff.

8. If a designer becomes completely inactive or unreachable, CS staff may be requested to transfer post access an active SFA staff. Please let us know if this becomes the case!

9. Change in design ownership must notify the designer/staff by posting on the design’s original page. Post should be done by the new owner if possible.

10. All members and staff reserve the right to refuse service/interaction to anyone.

- - if a free mutato is traded for a paid one, the paid one looses its value and becomes free.

- mutatoes can only be sold for cs pets, items, c$, and/or art.
- mutatoes cannot and will never be sold for any kind of real currency.
- - they also cannot be sold/traded for any non-mutato characters or off-site currencies.

- you may only sell your mutato for how much it was bought for.
- - art, pets, and items can be converted to c$ to calculate overall value.

- all ownership changes must be approved by me or a staff member in the archive updates thread.

--STRIKES / BANS

- deliberate rule abuse will have consequences.
- rule-breakers will be given one strike per offense. on the third offense, they will be banned.
- if the staff feel anyone has severely broken the rules, they will be banned immediately.
- art thieves and plagiarists will automatically be banned with no warning.
- a situation does not have to be explicitly stated in the rules to result in a strike or ban.

in the case of a ban,
-- the user can still keep their mutatoes, but they can no longer participate in anything related to the species. this includes breeding/selling/trading/gifting their mutatoes, participating in events, interacting with any threads/adopts, etc.

ARTIST GUIDELINES

- before making your first mutato, please read through the mutato making guide !

- somewhere in the first post, include a "DO NOT POST UNTIL ALLINIAN DOES," and wait until i have done so to remove it.
- if it has been two+ hours, feel free to reserve the post for me and report it to have the author changed.

- all profit goes to the artist.
- at least one-in-every-five adopts must be free.
- all static and heaventail mutatoes must be free, so do not sell these.
- mutatoes can only be sold for c$, pets, items, and/or art.
- all auctions/OTAs cannot last for more than one week (7 days), and therefore cannot be extended past said date as well, with the exception of sniping. the 7 days count from when the first offer/bid is posted.
- a snipe guard of one hour can be put into place if necessary.
- in the case that there are no bids or offers you would like to accept, the mutato can be put back up for free adoption.

- guest artists (GAs) are hired for a month, and are allowed to make up to five mutatoes (not including their custom).
- GAs must create at least two designs before creating their custom.

STAFF COMPENSATION

ALL STAFF MEMBERS earn a custom/myo upon initial hire, flametail only.

afterwards, permanent staff earn a custom/myo for every month active, either flametail or bubbletail.
- these customs/myos can be gifted to friends, but cannot be sold.
- two months worth of compensation can be exchanged for a statictail.
- - five months worth can be exchanged for a heaventail.

- an active artist is defined by a minimum of three designs per month, nursery included.
- an active moderator and archivist is defined on a case-by-case basis.

Q. the "select all" url code on the mutato oekaki pages, can anyone use it?
A. no, this is only for the winner's use.

Q. am i allowed to add accessories to my mutato?
A. yes, on your own separate reference, but do not under any circumstance edit the mutato animation.

Q. do mutatoes have genders?
A. this is up to the owner. gender is not an important part of this species.

Q. are mutatoes an intelligent species?
A. mutatoes behave like any pet. they have conscious, deliberate thought, and personality quirks.

Q. can mutatoes read? do they have their own language?
A. some can read, but mutatoes don't have a special written or spoken language. instead, they mostly communicate through motion and gestures.

Q. can my mutato be friends with/the pet of my floc?
A. certainly! but.. since both do not have a spoken language.. it might be a bit difficult. the floc can communicate telepathically to the mutato... but it probably wont understand much (similar to human/dog communication).

ＥＸＰＥＲＩＥＮＣＥ
Experience is awarded based on how many words you write, and/or the content of your art. All entries will receive experience (as long as you follow the art/writing only rules)!

Here is our writing exp scale, and here is our art exp scale. The writing exp scale is the same as the one used in explore. The art exp scale may be subject to change in the future.


ＳＴＡＲＤＵＳＴ
If you earn at least 60 exp total from all of your quest responses in a round, then you're eligible to receive stardust as a prize as well! You don't need 60+ exp from each quest; just 60 overall (i.e. 30 from quest one, 20 from quest two, 10 from quest three).

Your exp will be converted to stardust as follows: 1 exp = 2 stardust
Don't worry, you'll still receive experience as well! The stardust is just an additional, bonus prize.


ＷＩＮＮＥＲＳ
Winners are chosen based on effort, quality, and creativity. Prizes vary between months and quests, but Hana's favorite entries from each quest will receive a rarer bonus prize!

A: Please double check the requirements for the prompt. Writing done for art-only prompts and art done for writing-only prompts won't count for any experience. If you followed the prompt requirements and answered the right prompt, then there may have been a mistake on our end; we're only human after all! Please DM one of the staff members who helped judged to let them know!

While exploring, you have a chance to find food/herbs, encounter some friendly faces, and even find rare items! However, remember this is a survival game! Your cats may get sick, engage in battles with predators, fight in border skirmishes, or receive random injuries. Your cats will not die in explore unless you opt-in to death. 2. When you first start out, you’ll receive three free posts. These are given out per user, not per clan and provides your cats time to gather food and herbs! Your cats will gain no hunger for your first three posts. They also won’t encounter any predators or border skirmishes, fall ill, or receive any random injuries.

3. Max of six cats (adults/apprentices) on patrol, please! Additional cats can be included in your writing, but they won't count towards the rolls and shouldn't be linked in the "cats on patrol" sections. Kits cannot be added to the patrol list!

4. HP = health; HUP = hunger! All of your cats will start at 0% HUP (hunger) and 100% HP (health). Find out more information about HUP in “hunger & custom prey” and on HP in “health & healing”.

5. (Optional) If you’d like, you may customize your prey/predator list and/or opt-in for death! Just fill out the forms, post them on the explore thread + link them in your future explore post(s)!

6. Explore writing can be about anything, but should ideally end with / connect to a patrol! It’s a good idea to leave your explore post open for writers to jump-in, because the writer who responds will be writing about any prey/herbs found and any mini-scenarios encountered. Alternatively, you're welcome to send a patrol out without any writing as well.

7. After you've posted your explore post, wait for a writer to reply to your post before writing another one! Writing a quality explore reply can take time, so please be patient. Writers have one month (from the time they claimed your post) to get a response out to players, though it typically won't take that long. Your post wasn't skipped; we have multiple writers claiming different posts, and some might finish their replies sooner than others. For ease, you may also check if your post has been claimed and find all your prior posts and replies on our explore log!

8. When a writer responds, you may (or may not) receive a mini-scenario! If you’re still on your three free posts, you’ll encounter one of our friendly npcs! Read more about npc tasks and other mini-scenarios here!


ＬＥＶＥＬＳ
To level up, you'll need to earn experience (EXP / XP) through exploring, participating in prompts, or sometimes even events! You'll earn +10XP for every explore post posted, as well as additional experience for writing, participating in battles, finding herbs/food, etc. Every time you level up, you get a reward!

When you level up, your previous experience is "spent" on the level up and will not roll over to your new level. For example, if you have 135XP and are level 0, you'll level up to level 1 and have 35XP left. You cannot skip levels.

All users start at level zero! Experience listed is how much is required to reach that level (+ here is another way to visualize this).
Level one: 100XP| Rewards: +1 FP, +50 SD
Level two: 200XP | Rewards: +1 FP, + 1 Herb, +1 Common Edit
Level three: 300XP | Rewards: +2 FP, +1 Herb, +1 NR MYO

Level five: 500XP | Rewards: +3 FP, +2 Herbs, +1 Random Custom, +150 SD

ＨＵＮＧＥＲ 　 & 　ＦＯＯＤ
To survive, your cats require food! Food points (FP) can be found randomly on patrols. The amount of food you find varies by season and number of cats on patrol. During some seasons, your cats may receive a bountiful hunt — this doubles the FP they find!

Your cats will gain +10% HUP (hunger) per patrol. This hunger gain only applies to the cats sent on that patrol. For your first three explore posts, none of your cats will gain any hunger. If a cat reaches 60% hunger or above, they will lose -10% health every patrol they go on, until they're fed enough FP to lower their hunger below 60%.

If you are running dangerously low on FP, you can purchase or swap for some from Mousespeck. If you have some spare FP, you can also trade those to Mousespeck for stardust, which can be used to buy cool items from Starclan’s shop!


ＦＥＥＤＩＮＧ 　ＹＯＵＲ 　 ＣＡＴＳ
Each FP you feed a cat removes 10% hunger (1FP = -10% hunger)! When feeding your cats, remove the prey items from your inventory and place them in the “inventory items used” box of your explore post! Make sure to also update your patrollers’ hunger accordingly in your explore post.

You can choose to split a larger prey item with multiple cats! For example, you can feed three cats with a 3FP piece of prey and each cat will lose 10% hunger. Or you could split it between two cats, and remove 20% hunger from one, and 10% hunger from another. As an additional note, you cannot split a 1FP prey between two cats (removing -5% health for each one). Each FP can only remove -10% hunger (nothing more and nothing less)!

Eye-catching, level-headed, intelligent, and incredibly hardy, the Lemaire Arabian is the perfect all-rounder breed. Capable of competing in any known discipline, they have excellent potential for anything and are an eager to please, easily trainable breed. The breed sports a long, flowing mane and tail that requires consistent maintenance, a coat that, depending on the climate, can range anywhere from thick and wooly to short and glossy. to start exploring, head on over to the explore thread and fill out the explore code provided! you may change the formatting, but please be sure to keep all the information from the base coding clearly visible. here is a handy checklist to ensure you have all the necessary info.

you may send a max of six cats on patrol! additional cats can be included in your writing, but they won't count towards the rolls and shouldn't be linked in the "cats on patrol" sections. kits also do not count towards explore rolls and shouldn't be linked in this section. your explore writing can be about anything, but should ideally end with / connect to a patrol, since the writer who responds to your post will roll for prey and herbs found on patrol.

when you first start out, your cats will gain no hunger for your first three posts. your cats also won't encounter any predators or border skirmishes, fall ill, or receive any random injuries. this is to give your cats time to gather food and herbs to survive. these three hunger-free posts are per person, not per clan.

after you've written and posted your explore, you'll need to wait for a writer to reply to your post before writing another one. writing a quality explore reply can take time, so please be patient. writers have up to four weeks to get a response out to players, though it typically won't take that long. your post wasn't skipped; we have multiple writers claiming different posts, and some might finish their replies sooner than others. for ease, you may also check if your post has been claimed and find all your prior posts and replies on our explore log!

while exploring, you have a chance to find food, find herbs, encounter some friendly faces, and even find rare items! however, this is a survival game. your cats may get sick, engage in battles with predators, fight in border skirmishes, or receive random injuries. your cats will not die in explore unless you opt-in to death. everything you do in explore will earn you experience, which is used to level-up and earn cool rewards!

ＱＵＥＳＴＳ
another way to gain experience, as well as develop your cats and clan, is to write and/or draw responses to the prompts provided on the quest board! quests can vary from clan traditions, to lore, to something as specific as your founder's favorite prey.

these prompts are updated monthly, and will earn you exp based on how much effort you put into your response. to use this exp to level up and receive your level up rewards, you'll need to post an explore and link to the exp you earned from the quest board. each prompt will have a few winners chosen as well, who will receive a cool prize!

to level up, you'll need to earn experience (exp / xp) through exploring, participating in prompts, or sometimes even events! you'll earn +10 exp for every explore post posted, as well as additional experience for writing, participating in battles, finding herbs/food, etc. every time you level up, you get a reward!

when you level up, your previous experience is "spent" on the level up and will not roll over to your new level. for example, if you have 135 experience and are level 0, you'll level up to level 1 and have 35 experience left. you cannot skip levels.

to gain new cats for your clan, you can participate in adopt competitions, purchase customs and MYOs, or breed your cats. you can also sometimes find MYOs in explore, or win them as prizes from the quest board!

to adopt a cat via a competition, check out the cats colored-in under this page. if a cat has an "adopt me!" sign on their drawing, they're available for adoption. be sure to check the end date though, because some competitions may have already closed!

to purchase a custom, you'll need to wait for an artist to open slots on the main thread. you can read more about customs here. to purchase a MYO ("make your own"), visit the MYO page. you can design MYOs yourself, or recruit another user/artist to design them for you!

you can also gain more cats by breeding your cats in the nursery, though you'll need to wait for an artist to open slots. if you don't have two cats yet, you can use the nursery NPCs!

apprentices can grow to warriors 3 weeks after being posted. kittens can grow to apprentices 3 weeks after being posted, and then to warriors 6 weeks after the kitten was posted.

to have your cat grown, please bump the cat's page to remind the artist! some artists will post growths without a reminder, but most do not. there will be a date on the post telling you when your cat can grow so you know exactly what day to bump the thread.

if you'd like to skip the 3 week wait, the star's grace item in Starclan's shop can be used to skip the wait for one stage of one cat. (for example, a kitten can skip the 3 week wait and grow to an apprentice immediately, but they'll still need to wait another 3 weeks to become a warrior.)

  Customs/MYOs
• There must be a valid MYO token in your archive to be able to make or claim an artist entry.
  Please wait for your purchase to be processed and the item added to your personal archive before seeking approval for an artist entry/MYO.

  You need permission from the artist of the entry to be able to claim it. Please make sure that you have a valid MYO token in archive before doing this!

  Kibby Competitions
• You can only autobuy a Kibby twice a week.
  For easier tracking, this cooldown ends at CS Rollover every Sunday.

• You have 24 hours to come forth with payment for a Kibby before it is re-auctioned or given to the last highest bidder.
  This timeframe may be more lenient depending on the artist.

• For filling forms on flatsales/autobuys:
  
  • Editing forms is not allowed. If you made a mistake you will have to repost the correct and complete version of the form
  • Everything in the form must be filled out. No posting a blank/incomplete form to "reserve" and then go back and edit the form.
• Do not harass artists to judge a competition. This includes spamming "bump" or "good luck" after the competition was announced to be closed, messaging artists when it has not yet been 30 days past the closing date.
  However if it has been 30 days since the closing date of the competition you may message the artist, the species owner, a Kibbies mod, or report the competition to CS staff.

Artists/Guest Artists;
• Guest artists are given up to 30 days to complete five Kibby adopts, which they can choose to sell/raffle/make a competition

• Guest artists may not make more than two Offer-to-Adopts (OTA's) or auctions. It is not mandatory to include an "autobuy".

• Guest artists must make at least one typical Kibby, and are allowed the use of two corrupt traits on one adopt. The remaining must be mutant and below

• Guest artists are allowed to make two custom-lined kibbies, but must acquire permission and show the species owner before posting for sake of possible adjustments/corrections.

• Guest artists that are promoted to Staff Artists must make at least two adopts per month in order to acquire payment.

• Payment consists of MYOs and other Kibbies items.

• Full artists must confer with the species owner if they wish to include Mutant traits in an adopt.

• Full artists must confer with the species owner if they wish to open their adopts to real currency offers for the first time.

Staff Payment;

2 adopts - Basic MYO ticket
3-4 adopts - Mutant MYO ticket
5+ adopts - Corrupt MYO ticket (+2 Basic OR +1 Mutant)

mods will receive a Basic MYO every 7 days of activity.

1. Don't beg (meaning I or the artists making will get to the design if it takes longer then normal message me and I will look into it)

2. Closed species so don't make any that aren't yours to make (no fakes those are for artist contests only)

3. Limit will be 10 doesn't include fawns (customs may or may not fall under this depending on how out of control it might get) This is to allow artists to not get burned out and will change when more have been added to the team.

4. Can only win two a day.

5.Please do not spam, be rude to staff or others, or argue. What I say or those I ask to mod say goes if I think something is unfair I will step in. If I don't catch it you more then welcome to send a me a note but don't harass people in the public forums

6.There is only six slots for breeding allowed so choose wisely in the future there may be more but until then only six.

7. You may not sell your ICE's and trading must be brought to my attention along with said artist after I have given the go ahead for it. If you are not sure you may let us choose who it gets readopted out too. Also, there may in the future to keep with store some readoption events so keep a look out.

8. Don't beg for slots from the group's herd (they will have more slots yes, but they are more as gifts for those that earn it)

9. Before it gets lost, please keep requests for breeding slots to ims/fanclub/ and possibly streams (last one iffy) and to go with this one after being made whether a starter or breeding will take up to two weeks before being allowed to breed.

10. they may be breed two weeks after being made this applies to both starters and fawns

How to adopt and what to look for

So this section is being added cause I realized how hard it is to find what has been adopted and what hasn't so I am going to start a system with the watermark that stays on them all. if you have a question don't be afraid to come to me!
