What is the store?

In the store we have a wide selection of items and pets available for purchase with Chicken Dollars (C$). Some of the items are free, so look carefully to find a bargain... :). You even can see what the items will look like on pets by dragging them onto the model pets that are on display.

What are Chicken Dollars (C$)?

Chicken Dollars are site credits which you can buy with real-world money. They let you pay for special pets, items and other services on our website.

How long do things stay for sale?

Most of items are up indefinitely - i.e. there is no set date for any of them to be removed. They probably will be available for many many months, and we will announce a pre-warning if any of the items are going to be retired from the shop. We also add new items every now and again.

Store pets are usually available for a 2 month period, and at the end of that time they are replaced with new ones.

How do I get Chicken Dollars?

You can add funds to your account by buying Chicken Dollars on the top up page. You can pay for the C$ online using your PayPal account (if you have one), or if you don't have a PayPal account you can just pay with a regular credit card like Visa or Mastercard. You should receive your C$ almost instantly.

If you have a PayPal account, you can use the "eCheck" feature to pay directly from your bank account instead of using a credit card, although just like a regular check the payment will take about 5 days to clear. You will receive your Chicken Dollars once the check has cleared.

It is now also possible to buy C$ using cash at 7-Eleven convenience stores throughout the United States by using PayNearMe.

It is not possible to earn C$ by playing games on the website, or by posting on the forums, and we don't plan to introduce such a system in the future.

How can I pay cash at 7-Eleven?

It is now possible to buy Chicken Dollars using cash at 7-Eleven stores throughout the United States by using PayNearMe. Just choose the PayNearMe option on the topup page. You can use your printer to print out a payment slip with the amount of C$ you want to buy on it. Then simply bring the payment slip to any 7-Eleven store within the US, give it to the cashier to scan along with your payment, and the Chicken Dollars will be added to your account instantly. Please email us at payments@chickensmoothie.com if you need help making a payment.

You can get slightly more Chicken Dollars for your money when you pay online with PayPal instead of PayNearMe because PayPal charges us lower fees.

Please note that PayNearMe is only available for those who are at least 13 years old.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Usually not. But if you've just topped up by PayPal and haven't bought anything with it yet, we can probably solve it for you. Contact us at payments@chickensmoothie.com.

Help, my online topup didn't work!

If you paid through PayPal, your C$ should appear on your account within five minutes of topping up. If it still doesn't appear after an hour, please email us at payments@chickensmoothie.com and we'll sort it out for you. Please note that if you paid by eCheck, the payment will take around 5 days to complete as we wait for your bank to make the transfer.

How can I get store pets or items if I'm not able to buy C$?

If you check out the trade forum, there are many players willing to trade store items/pets, so you can often trade for them using the pets that you adopted for free. A popular method is for people with C$ to offer you a certain C$ amount in return for some pets, and then you give them a 'shopping list' of the things you want (adding up to the amount they offered you). They will buy the items and send them over a trade.

Is there a way to transfer C$ onto another person's account?

No, but we may introduce a feature like this in the future.

I'm finding myself spending too much in the store...
