Q. How do I join this site and is it free?
A. Yes the site is free, and you don't need to 'join' anything, just follow the instructions to adopt a pet and it'll give you a code which you can put on your website/forum signature etc and your adopted pets will show up there :) if you don't have anywhere to paste the code, you're welcome to put your pets in the Chicken Smoothie forum.
Q. Help! The code isn't working!?!1!!1
A. Please email me with a link to the page the code won't work on. There are some forums which have certain codes blocked, but there are usually ways to get around this.
Q. Will you please draw me something?
A. Unforunately, I'm often too busy for specific requests :( You can try your luck posting your request in the adoptables ideas/suggestions thread in the forum.
Q. Why do you take forever to update stuff/reply to my messages?
A. All in good time, just be patient :) I'm an 18-year old university student, I have a part-time job, and I have a social life. Sometimes real-life just gets in the way. I'm also from New Zealand so I'm on a completely different time-zone to many of you.
Q. Will you please make cats/rabbits/horses/tigers etc etc?
A. I am planning on adding a huge array of animals as time goes on, please check out the forum to participate in voting polls and discussion for which adoptables you want to see added next. Your feedback is very important!
Q. How do you make the adoptables?
A. I drew all the adoptables in Photoshop CS using my trusty Wacom tablet. They work on the site using some complicated php coding - don't ask me to explain it because I won't.
A. Petz is a PC game which was released many years ago by a few different companies, most recently Ubi Soft Entertainment. The official website has been replaced with their new generation Petz games so the best information you will find is on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petz
Q. Where can I get the game?
A. As the Petz series that this site supports is quite an old game, it can be hard to find in stores. Be aware that there are new games released called 'Dogz'/'Catz' 1 or 2, but they are NOT the same as the old games 'Dogz'/'Catz'. The only useful versions of the old game are Catz or Dogz version 3, 4 or 5. You can pick these up on online stores such as Amazon or online auctions such as Ebay, if you can't find them in stores near you.
Q. Can you please update/fix/create a certain breedfile?
A. No. Most of the websites' breeds were hexed by Manda - the websites old co-owner. She has since left the petz community and is not an active member of the website. She is not accepting any correspondence about her breeds and I assume she will never be updating them. I can't remember how to hex so I likely won't be updating anything either.
Q. How do I get the toys to show up in my game?
A. Manda has made a helpfile on this, please see this here.
Q. Will you host my breedfiles?
A. Most likely yes, please email me your website address and tell me if
you want the breeds on a seperate page on my site or just a link to your website
from my breeds page, with the actual files hosted here. All I ask is a link
back here somewhere on your site. Contact
me for more information. If you've been in contact with me, I may still
take a couple of weeks to get around to putting up your files :( be patient.
