How do you prefer trade groups sorted?

When sending a trade, which organization of trade groups make it easier for you?

I do mine by year (with VR, and lists in their own groups), but since CS already sorts pets by date this doesn't really make it too much easier to find pets, but I'm not sure what system to use.
Would sorting by species be helpful, or by rarity?
Or a any combination of the three? (Species, date, and rarity)

Do you only use the wishlist function, making sorting irrelevant?

I'd love to hear how other organize trade groups, and what makes for more efficient trading!

I personally sort them by species, and rares + are all mixed in a group.

I've got mine sorted by year (which helps to keep your re-released pets organised) with separate Store pet, Main, September and Advent List groups. If you're feeling dedicated, you could sort by Year + Species + Rarity, but that's overkill.

I feel that Year + Rarity would be enough, if sorting only by year isn't. Keep in mind though, that if you sort by rarity, you'll need to move pets as their rarity changes (which is why I went to just sorting by year).

Sorted by year is most helpful to me. Mostly because of the three or six month trade rule.

When I had trade folders, they were sorted like this:

I'm not sure if sorting by species would be a help, but I'm sure some people trade that way. Sorting by rarity just sounds like a pain. I had 10 thousand trade pets and since rarity gets updated every month.... that would mean a lot of my time would be sent shuffling trade pets around instead of organizing my own collection which I have a hard time keeping up with to begin with.

I do use the wishlist function so sorting is largely irrelevant.

I'm sorting my pets by year and species/event :)

As for trade groups, all the rares/very rares were put into one group and all store pets were put in another group. Same for the uncommons and below.

I sort my trade groups by species. Typically the pets we can adopt monthly have their own group, and then the more infrequent linearts (such as bats, lions etc) are all in a group labelled "other trades". I also have a group for rares+, and a group which holds my continually-growing sunback offer (mostly consisting of 2010 or older rares+).

When I'm looking to trade with people, I just go straight to wishlist-only pets. It's a bit inconvenient when people have nft pets unlocked, but it's not too bad, since I typically don't offer on pets unless they are in a trade group or the user I'm trading with has multiple.

I have my pets sorted by year - month/event. In the title of each group I have the number of pets I own from that month/event out of how many pets total there was in that month/event. (Ex: 2008 - 07 (1/32) The best part of this method is that everything is in order. All of my doubles are sorted by species. It took a long time to organize but I personally think it was worth it. Although it's hard to find certain pets, I don't really need to because I have all of my non-doubles locked.

I used to sort my trades by rarity, but since they kept changing, it was too annoying to keep up. Now I have "Rares List", "Store pets", and then a group for everything else. lol I've thought about separating them by year/event... Maybe I'll do that soon since it seems to make it easier for people looking to trade.

I don't really have a preference for how other people's trade groups are sorted other than "if you don't want offers for it, lock the group", since I just use the wishlist function.

I personally sort by rarity, with uncommon and below in one big group, and then rares divided into groups depending on whether they're December 18th rares or not, and if they are a December 18th rare, what year the pet was originally from.

I sort mine by species and then sort the dog by year as well. Usually when I trade with other people though I just scroll to the bottom and click the pets on your/ your partners wishlist.
