Dragon Blood Equines

Postby LostHope » Wed Jul 12, 2017 5:16 pm

Welcome to Dragon Blood Equines! -Artist search-
Rules:
• Do not steal/copy/claim any Dragon Blood equine design, and/or the species itself.
• Please be courteous. Do not disrespect anyone, staff or member alike.
• Do not take any Dragon Blood Equine off site, even if you win the adopt.
• If you no longer want your Dragon Blood Equine, please PM me and it will be put back up for adoption.

What are Dragon Blood Equine?:
They are a type of horse that has certain aspects of a dragon. They are also known as Kirin. These horses are a very proud species, and do not let just anyone ride them. The Dragon Blood Equine is large and sleek. It's built for speed, and thus are prized as racing horses. However, since they are a very wild and proud horse, they cannot be broken. Instead, a bond and partnership is forged through a lot of work, pampering, and bribing.

The Dragon Blood Equine is tall, sleek, and majestic. They don't just 'walk' from place to place, they prance. Their heads are always held high. They also come in a variety of horn styles. From what is known as a 'dual crescent', being the most common, a unicorn horn, a 'split' horn, or the 'branch' style. Some of which have an orb that seems to float with the horn, and always matches the eye color. They have scaled plates over their face, starting at the forehead and ending just over the nostrils. Their eyes can be of any color of the spectrum, though always blue if bald. Dragon Blood Equine's have a long mane and tufts of hair growing from the upper arms to the elbow. Another set of tufts grows down the rump to the hocks. Their tails are erect with a great amount of hair growing from it. Their hooves are covered in heavy feathering, the hair almost always covering the hooves themselves unless in motion. Males grow a distinct beard that sets them apart from females. A Dragon Blood Equine can stand 16 hands minimum and 21 hands maximum.

Herds and stables

Postby LostHope » Wed Jul 12, 2017 5:16 pm

Here is where all herds and stable will be listed. You can also register one, but you will be in charge of managing your page.

What is the difference between a herd and a stable?:
Herds are basically just a social group of Dragon Blood Equine. They are basically a family and friends. There can be up to three lead stallions in a herd if it is large enough. There may be other males, but will consist mainly of females and their lead stallion. A Herd can be either wild, or 'tamed'. They are also applicant only, meaning you will have to ask the owner of the herd to join.(Also for potential RP.)

A stable is like a herd, but are always 'tamed' Dragon Blood Equines. Anyone can join a stable, unless specifically stated that it is closed to the public, or applicants only.

Open breeding means that anyone who owns a Dragon Blood Equine who is part of the herd/stable can use any other member within to breed with their own. Even if the DBE is listed as closed breeding. If you join an Open Breeding Herd/Stable, please keep this in mind.

Nursery/Breeding Center

Postby LostHope » Wed Jul 12, 2017 5:17 pm

Link to Nursery.

Welcome to the breeding center and nursery. Here you will be able to breed your Dragon Blood Equines. Note, you will have to own at least one DBE if using an open breeding sire/dam. The only execption is Blitz. You may use Blitz as if you owned him for breeding, and he has no breeding cooldown.

Heya! I read up top that these have to stay on site. Does that also mean I can't put them on my character collection site (I like to have all my characters in one spot so they don't get lost). Of course you would be credited for both the art and the species creation. Just making sure. ^^'

If it's possible to link back, then I'll allow it. I've just had art stolen multiple times already. Even from here. But only the DBE you've won.
