What the heck is a Squeakajou?
A Squeakajou is a mashup of japanese squirrel, cat, javan mouse-deer, flying fox and elephant shrew. Back in 2014, I started making 3 different species with 3 different people. Unfortunately every single one fell through before completion and nothing was done with any of them. Not wanting to let the concepts and ideas I did go to waste I decided to mash them all together to make a new species.
About Squeakajous:
Body:
-Size of an average squirrel
-Pointy teeth
-Front paws have claws. These are kept sharp by sharpening them on trees like a cat.
-Hind paw's toes are hard as hooves. Both front and hind paws can have 3-5 toes
-Cheek pouches
-Extra skin under arms help them glide short distances
-Super soft fur. Hunting for their fur has caused their numbers to dwindle
Diet: Squeakajous are omnivores. They especially love eating bugs, grasshoppers, moths, bats and the leaves/petals of flowers. Due to their slight vampire blood they may nibble on strangers that come into their territory..
Behavior: Squeakajous are twitchy, chatty, social little critters that tend to live in large colonies. They they do not take kindly to strangers however, especially those of not their own, they will nip and throw stones etc at them to chase them off their territory.
Squeakajous purr when happy and grooms like a squirrel. They can talk but prefer to communicate in squeaks.
Squeakajous can seemingly fit their bodies into any space and like to hang upside down and climb trees. They also like to hoard and steal objects that catch their eyes.
Habitat: Most Squeakajous live in caves, with the outside having plenty of trees to hide in. Out in the open with no trees to climb makes them feel anxious! They prefer colder climates, their fur keeping them toasty warm. Squeakajous that live in warmer climates have shorter coats.
Element: All Squeakajous have a elemental stone on the front of their necks, though their fluff usually hides it from view. Most common elements are fire, water, grass and shadow, but there's many more types. The type of stone reflects their special powers/abilities and tie into their life source. If the stone were ever to be dug out or cracked it would kill them.
About Boss Squeakajous: Are a Squeakajou's true form. Twice the size of a human, with the head of a bat, 4 human arms and the hindlegs of a gelada baboon. They typically have short coats so their elemental stone is clearly visible on their necks. Only Boss Squeakajous show this form 24/7 as it's a show of their rank, but all Squeakajous have the ability to change into one as it's their true form.

What colors do Squeakajous come in?
Anything goes for both colors and markings.
Can my Squeakajou have different eyes/legs/tail/fur type, gender, element, personality, behavior, habitat etc etc than the ones mentioned?
Of course! I'm not picky, anything you want goes. Have fun
What powers/special abilities can a Squeakajou have/what does their element stone look like?

Can I take my Squeakajou offsite, keep them if I leave CS?

Can I make Squeakajou adopts/breed them?
Yes, but only for free (see rules if you wish to sell your Squeakajou)

Not right now.

-Do NOT remove my sig. You can move it if in the way, but must stay on image. If you accidentally delete it re-add it
-Created/adopted Squeakajous can be posted/taken offsite
-Edits to lineart (ears, expression, tail, accessories, etc etc) and background are allowed, no need to ask!
-Squeakajous made for free cannot be sold without art, just gift/trade. If they were bought or come with art they may be sold for any online currency (C$, pets, treasure, points, etc) No USD please! No need to contact me for permission either!
-No drama/bullying/fighting. Seriously. If I see any drama, even offsite, I will foe you and you will no longer be allowed to adopt/commission me. (I will NOT publicly list who I have foed, NOR will they be banned from the species in anyway/their Squeakajou taken back. Simply put they will no longer be allowed to adopt/commission anything new from me. If they wish to adopt a Squeakajou from another user that is fine)
