We live and breath for racing. It's a feeling of accomplishment knowing you've set a record and made your owner proud. We are race dogs.

You and your owner both shared one dream: To make it into the Manchester Finals. One day, your owner ran in, a letter clutched in one hand, the other going up and down as he/she jumped in excitement. Then you remembered: you auditioned for the Manchester Finals! Happiness ran through you when three words spoke: "We've made it."

Soon, you and your owner pull into a parking lot of some camp, called Camp Dog. You two get out, and walk into the Main Hall to sign in, when a friendly, aged woman greets you, "Hello, I'm Amanda, and welcome to Camp Dog. This is where you will stay for the next year as you train for the Manchester Finals."

You shake Amanda's hand, and say, "I'm y/n." She nods, and points to a chalk board, "Before we start with your tour, I'll give you some pointers.."

{ Roleplay rules - do not break }

* The most characters you can have are two.
* Follow tess's rules. Reread them before joining if you don't know them.
* No godmodding. An example of this would be: Dog A beat all the other dogs in the practice race, and they cried.
* Also no GS/MS. Meaning we all have flaws.
* Please have proper grammar. dnt tpe lk this. And have proper punctuation.
* Type more than 3 sentences, please. I will take WB, not everyday, though.
* Acceptable dog breeds are: Saluki, greyhound, and whippet. Crosses between those will be accepted.
* I will be playing Amanda.
* Only six people will be accepted.

* mixed genders will not be allowed in cabins or kennels.
* Do not abuse your dog(s)
* Curfew is 11:00 P.M.
* What Amanda says is law.
* Bathe your dogs once a week, and clips their nails.
* After each practice, make sure your dog has plenty of cool water.

"This will be your home for the next year." Amanda says, as she gives you a tour, and gives you a little info about Camp Dog. Camp Dog was founded by George Black in 1905. He shared a deep love for dog racing, and wanted to share it with others. He opened Camp Dog, a place for trainers to bond with their dogs, and make new friends. He passed away in 1930, and his daughter took over, and it was passed down to Amanda.

History:: Faline was born to Daphne Downes and Christopher Lawrence. They were the highschool stars, until a party late one night. When Daphne found out she was pregnant, she told Chris, who left her to raise Faline all by herself. Which she did, until she met the man who Faline really calls her dad. Maxwell Collins. He was 22 at the time, and Daphne was 20, Faline three. Maxwell, however, was into one thing mainly: Dog racing. He taught Faline the ins and outs of all it, and soon she was racing dogs herself. When she turned 18, she couldn't wait to start building her own kennel. She did, and now she hopes to win the Manchester Finals.

History:: Greg was born into an abusive home - his owner was a drug dealer, and usually got into bloody fights. He came home drunk, and took it out all on Greg. At one year, he ran away, and roamed the streets of L.A. One night, he got into a pretty bad accident, and was left for dead in a back alley. Faline, who had got finished with band practice, took a shortcut in that alley, and fund him. She fixed him up, and decided to see what he could do. He came bac with amazing results, and has been winning races since.

Personality: This Saluki is energetic but controlled. She is also a couch potato when she isn't training or on the track for a race. She looked delicate and prissy but Lola can be quiet sarcastic and mean when she wants too. Sarcasm is her specialty when she is in the kennels. Lola also has a bad habit of pacing when she is thinking. She isn't stupid and is pretty smart and obedient to her owner when she needs to be. She can be stubborn on some days but that's every dog, everyone has a bad day some point in time.
History: Lola was born in the home of Jessica Richardson by her two former champion salukis who had retired from racing due to their age. She was one of six puppies in the litter but the only one that was not dark like her father and took after her mother in color. She, you could say, was the pick of the litter in which Jessica was able to keep and her siblings received good homes and some also went to racing. Since then, she's been with Jessica since birth and racing since Jessica saw the right characteristics in her personality and built.

Personality: Jess is a quiet person. She isn't really a social bug when it comes to people and is often staying to herself and taking care of her dog. She is sweet and easy to talk too, despite her quiet nature and can give some good advice. She has a temper but she keeps it under control and doesn't let it get the best of her. Jess is pretty friendly and is usually not too distant from everyone and tries to get to know a person every now and then.
History: She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska as the oldest of two siblings. She was eight years old when she first got interested in the Saluki breed and racing. Her parents got her her first Saluki when she was thirteen. She began to learn about training them and everything about the breed and racing and she was able to compete. Her baby brother had came around when she was eight and she kept a close relationship with him. Jess got her second Saluki when she was fifteen, he was black Saluki with tan markings. When the two Saluki's could no longer race and had their share of ribbons and trophies, she decided to breed them. She kept one of the puppies from the litter and moved to Camp Dog to race the three year old, while her two retired Saluki's stayed home with her parents and younger brother.
