What is a Livius?
Class:
Cold blooded amphibian. Sleeps half of the day, and half of the night, so is awake both day and night.
Diet class:
Scavenger and Omnivore. (Eats fruits, nuts, vegetables, meats, and mold/fungi)
Behavior:
Digs small, temporary 'nests' in mud to stay cool when it is to hot and to stay moist. Must take short dips in water so it's skin does not dry out, watering the plant unknowingly. Sun bathes often to keep warm.
Plants:
If a seed lands and grows in the dirt in the animal, and it's not a certain species of plant (Huemic is a small tree that bears small fruits of the colour red, orange or yellow. The roots are very short and do not cause any harm to the animal, though because of this the plant normally dies if not rooted in this animal. Erru, a vine that tends to wrap around the animal bearing nut-like food, and Kenpa, the rarest and attracts the best mates, is a moss that sprouts flowers of many colours that are editable to the animal.) it will reject the plant and rub up against trees to try to get rid of it. if that doesn't work, it will attempt to drown the plant.
Physical aspects:
Strong, lean back and leg muscles to support the small growths on it's back. Has multiple layers of skin - two, and each 'layer' holds a decent amount of layers. The extra skin - the top piece often gets plugged by dirt or mud, and the oils of the skin give it some plant nutritious proprieties. A long jaw and mouth with teeth designed to grip and rip. Small nostril holes and ear holes in the side of it's head.
Chemical aspects:
Oily skin with a natural insect repellent chemical seeking from the pores, this is good for both the plant and animal.
Senses:
Poor eyesight, taste, and hearing. Has a good sense of smell, and stores memories of smells of what is editable and what is not. What to avoid eating and what to eat.
How to determine if a Livius is male or female: Male Livius' have a extra claw on their front feet.
Average male is 30-34 inches (76-86 cm.) and 120-200 pounds (54-90 kg).
Average female is 28-32 inches (71-81 cm.) and 100-130 pounds (45-59 kg.)
However, the rarest Livius' are the one with deformities in the skin that allow plants to grow else where besides the back of the host Livius, along with the rare happening of a Livius growing gemstones instead of a plant, caused by high mineral disposits. The gemstones seems to influence their behavior, they often have a large hoard of shiny objects, or objects of certain colours.

The Pound is a place where formly won Livius' can be readopted as the owner no longer wants them. You can claim one by sending me a PM with an adoption form. - I will be judging forms though, and it will not be 'first come first serve.'
