Important one account per person rule

I'm getting really sick of finding people who have used multiple accounts to gain 100's of extra pets. This is unfair to other players and against the rules. The adoption limits are in place for a reason.

Telling me that the accounts belonged to your friends/brother/sister/cousin/mom/dad/dog/grandma is not an excuse for unfair trading. If an account is giving you a ton of free pets/items, and that's all it ever does, then it is not a real player. Regardless of what physical person you attribute the account to, this is still unfair gameplay.

It IS okay for people sharing your computer to create their own accounts. It is NEVER ok for you to create more accounts for yourself, or encourage others to create accounts which just exist to get YOU extra stuff. To be on the safe side, you should ensure that all trades done with people on your ip are fair (2-sided) trades.

Save yourself the tears, and don't put your collection at risk by cheating.

everyone gets caught eventually.. we still catch people who cheated months ago, but the trade history never goes away

I agree with the cartoon! My pet groups are fit to bursting with confiscated pets, even though I'm open nearly every day!

It's funny... Lots of people hate cheaters, but we end up reaping the benefits in the pound xD

xD yeah, sometimes I'm disappointed that there weren't more people caught cheating for Dec 18th pets. I guess there are probably just a lot that haven't been caught yet

Man, there are SO many cheaters out this month. I'm going to be banning accounts almost non-stop. I guess everybody is really desperate to get banned for trying to get a lion.

EDIT: Banned 15 accounts, a few thousand pets for the pound. Now onto page 2 of the cheaters...

EDIT: Finished page 2, that's 2000 more pets for the pound. I'm getting tired, I think I'll continue this tomorrow.

Wow! I finally found the time to create a new cheating detection system from scratch. It's SO much faster and SO much more accurate. Seriously, catching cheaters now is just like shooting fish in a barrel. It now looks back at all trade history since the beginning of the site (previously it was too slow to use to it look at more than the last couple of months). Expect to see at least 10,000 pets appear in the pound over the next few days.

Guess all those idiots who thought they could create multiple accounts to hunt candy and get away with it should have thought about it a bit harder. I know, the saddest part is that some of these people have been cheating for over a year now, what a huge collection to go to waste! Still, the pound adopters will be stoked to see these old pets coming up for adoption
